Hey, I’m Michelle.

So in Mid-November 2019 i had a layover for roughly 24 hours in Budapest, Hungary. I was on my way to the middle east to visit Israel & Jordan from frankfurt, germany. My flight had a bit of a delay so i ended up landing at around 12pm, so i was too late and had to skip the hotsprings. I instead visited the Christmas Market, the gardens in the Buda Castle, The Fisherman´s Bastion, the Central Market Hall, i ate at Karavan Street Food and the visited the Ruin bars. I didn’t spend more than 30 Euros in Budapest.

The return flight to Israel cost 80 euros, which means you can definitely visit Hungary with a 30 euros or less flight once you are already in Europe.
The hostel was 6 Euros a night
and for food, transportation and activities (which mainly just consisted of walking to different nearby landmarks lol ) i spent less than 30 euros.

A few tips that didn’t make it into the video:
1.) Budapest, like most European cities is quite walkable. Try to find an accomodation as close as possible to the city center.
2.) You don’t need to exchange money. Credit Cards are widely accepted. (unlike some other parts of Europe i’ve visited lol)
3.)Theres a Bus tiding from the Airport to Downtown it takes about 30 minutes, a bit less even. Its the cheapest option and super convenient.

If you have any other questions ask away, i’ll be happy to help. Also if you have any tips that i missed i would also be glad to hear them, i KNOW there are things i missed.

Ps. This is the first video i ever recorded and edited. Bear with me, i know its not the greatest, but i’m working on becoming better. Constructive criticism is very much welcome.
