Good morning for BGC how are you doing today it’s a beautiful morning here heading to have breakfast with a friend but today’s uh topic I wanted to talk a little bit about what this channel is all about and is it right for you um let’s get into that right Now okay so I got to look look at my analytics today and we’re heading to High Street South it’s not uh it’s not the regular High Street it’s a newer area called High Street South and it’s developing but they’ve opened up a lot of uh new restaurants there and it’s a

Really nice area and um a lot of Western Restaurants so I’m heading there to meet a friend for breakfast but I was looking at my analytics for my YouTube channel this morning and I thought it was interesting because when you break the demographics down and the the the thing that I

Thought was pretty typical was my gender split I’m about 80% male and 20% female audience which is about what I thought it would be um actually to be honest uh I think I have a few more female members than I thought I would at 20% % so which is

Fine um but when you break down and then when I broke down the countries um the two largest percentages Were Us followed by the Philippines followed by Canada at about 3% so the US had well over a third of my total viewers us viewers so um but when you

Break down the age demographics this is where it really got interesting to me um and I’ll just run down the numbers for you because to be honest you know I’m I’m an older guy I figured the majority of my viewers or subscribers would be old male

Americans like me um but it really it’s really interesting so here’s the breakdown so I had only about I had less than 1% that was under the age of 18 which at less than 1% that’s that’s B more than I expected okay um 18 to 24 year olds

3.2% okay uh 25 to 34 year olds 10 1 12% 35 to 44 year olds 15.6% 45 to 54 year olds 2 2.7% 55 to 64 year olds 29.1% and anybody over the age of 65 or 65 and over 18.8% so that to me is pretty crazy because you basically

You have four age brackets 3544 4554 55 64 and 65 plus all within about 5 to 7 percentage points from each other um the highest being the 55 to 64 and then the next 4554 and then but the that 3544 range is pretty significant almost 16% and even the 2534 is um almost

11% so I thought that was an interesting statistic um and when you look at if I break it down even more over half of my subscribers or viewers are between the age of 45 and 64 all right so I I don’t really know what that means we got to hurry here

Um I don’t know if that’s good or bad or if it matters because to me it’s like well that that’s that’s neat that I’ve got that wide range of demographics that are watching my videos um but at the same time it’s like well how do I get a niche how do I find

That sweet spot of U of topics of videos for my channel that will that will cater to that such a large variety of age demographics so so I don’t really know where to go from there so so what this video is about today is is this channel right for

You you know and we’ll talk a little bit about that and what I mean by that is how can you relate to my channel can you relate to what I do on this channel um so we’re going to find that out so first of

All talk about me I guess and see how it relates to you so I’ve always been kind of a loner um I’ve bounced around from City to city in the states until I moved here two years ago um job to job I kind of bounced around from job to job had three careers

In my life so within those three careers I’ve changed jobs within that uh I just get kind of the itch every 2 or 3 years to to make a change sometimes even sooner so if you’re kind of a loner Like Me Maybe kind of a black sheep of the

Family you know the one that’s kind of different from everybody else in your family uh kind of like I am well maybe this channel is for you you know if you get that itch to to move make a change in your life every once in a while maybe this channel is for you

Because that’s kind of how I am you know and when I when I started this channel I wanted to do it to to share my experiences of having a change in my life share my experiences here in Asia you know doing different things visiting different places uh living

In a different country I wanted to share my experiences and when I first started doing these videos it was just for my family and friends and I would I would put it on YouTube but then I would look at the ticktockers here hello how are you so this is High Street

South so it’s a neat little fairly new area and most of these places are new so you got these restaurants over here you got Olive Garden over there and then got a nice little coffee area there I forgot my uh wireless mic so I’m going to have to hopefully you

Pick up this audio go off my phone and uh I’ll adjust the levels I’ll do some noise reduction in post production so anyway let’s let’s get back to if is this channel right for you um to get the itch to move you love to travel uh

Whether it’s City to city state to state country to Country whatever the case may be you love to travel not only love to travel but you want to travel and um maybe you haven’t before but maybe you’re thinking about it you’ve been thinking about it for a

Long time um maybe this is the opportunity and you’re watching my channel because it’s giving you that motivation to actually go ahead and Do It um new places you want to try new places and new things new food maybe you’re U single you want to get into that dating

Scene in another country and you’ve saw you’ve seen a lot of videos you’ve seen a lot of vogs about dating in the Philippines or in Southeast Asia and you want to give it a go um this this may be the channel for you uh also um maybe you have a family

And you’re ready to leave your country of origin maybe you’re in the states or in the west somewhere and you’re fed up with the cost of living you’re fed up with uh crime and the the the politics and all of that you’re just fed up to hear with everything and so you’ve got

An opportunity to to move your family overseas whether you’re divorced or maybe you’re working uh remotely you’ve got that opportunity to to make that move to another country and maybe that’s why you’ve been interested in looking into my channel you know maybe you’re younger and you’re single and and you

Are one of those digital Nomads so you’re checking out different videos like mine as far as where to live and what life is like in in the Philippines or other countries in Southeast Asia you know maybe that’s you maybe maybe you want that single life that’s that you can’t get in the

US so those may be for you that may be the reasons one of the reasons why you’re watching my channel because to be honest with you when I’m looking at my analytics and I see that big spread of demographics between 18 and plus 65 and they’re pretty good numbers in

Each although to be honest with you my channel is small to begin with so it’s not a huge um a huge database to look at but still that’s that’s pretty good uh difference there as far as age demographics there’s a lot so when I look at that I I think wow there’s got

To be different reasons for these different age groups to be watching my channel so it’s hard for me to find a niche but boy put in the comments down below um you know why you watch my channel what what interests you in that um you know and as always like And

Subscribe I really do appreciate that you know my my channel is going to I want to do different things in 2024 I want to get to 5,000 or over 5,000 subscribers so it’s really important that my videos get out to new people so it it really helps when you hit that

Like button because that shows in the algorithms that YouTube will then will suggest my videos to other people and that that are similar to you so so that really helps hit that like button hit that subscribe share my videos feel free to share to your friends and family um that also helps

It’s it’s one of my all-time favorite places to visit so I’ll be my itinary Bangkok then down to Patia for a week to see the lpta golf tournament then back up to Bangkok for my birthday and then down to wahen uh to uh spend some time
