Walking Around Cologne Altstadt

Join me on a captivating stroll through the heart of Cologne, Germany! Starting at the iconic Cologne Dom, we delve into the historic Altstadt. As we wander through the charming Alter Markt, we encounter architectural marvels like Groß St. Martin, a grand Romanesque church crowned with a tower that stands atop ancient Roman temple ruins.

Our walking tour continues along the majestic Rhein river, where colossal cruise ships glide by. The serene Rheingarten beckons, inviting us to savor the riverside ambiance. Finally, we arrive at Weltjugendtagsweg, adjacent to the renowned Cologne Philharmonie, completing our circular route near the bustling Hauptbahnhof.

When I recorded this walk, the Christmas market was still getting ready at the Dom. I know it’s a bit late. I got held up with an examination project and I couldn’t travel and record walks. I had walked this route already, back in December, but I wasn’t able to upload it. But, here it is finally.

I hope you all enjoy the magical cityscape of Köln.
