VISA and E-VISA – traveling Southeast Asia
Welcome to another video with back today we’re going to talk about the importance of carrying a valid Visa with you when entering a new country it can be very confusing whether or not you even have to carry one to uh get into these three countries Cambodia Vietnam and Laos but
That is what we going to cover in this video I hope you will follow Along so basically for traveling as a Backpacker or as a tourist um there is two main type of visas um the first one is uh e Visa uh which you can order from home some countries want you to order it uh at least one month in advance uh some
Allows you to um order it even days before you arrive the second type of Visa is sort of the same but you you can wait uh getting it till you arrive it is called VOA visa on arrival or VISA upon arrival so basically you can wait getting the Visa um for the country
You’re going to uh until you are standing in the airport um of the country but keep in mind that some countries uh don’t allow this and want you to order uh the Visa in advance and and some of these countries even want you to order the Visa um a month in
Advance in terms of them letting you into the country so now I will just uh quickly go through the three countries um we going to which is Cambodia Vietnam and Laos um first one we are going to arrive in cm re which is in Cambodia for this
Country you can actually um get an EV Visa in advance uh it will cost you around uh $30 to $50 US um depending on where you uh will purchase it but we chose actually to get the vaa the Visa upon arrival um CU that is more
Convenient for us uh so that we know that we are getting it from the right authorities and just a quick notice if you’re going to uh apply for an EV Visa uh you have to make sure that you do it on the right website because there is a
B bunch of websites out there uh that will actually charge you more than needed um cuz that is like some different um travel companies who will make the Eva for you uh through the governmental Pages uh from the country you’re going to and uh they will obviously charge you more money for
Making in the E visa for you does that make sense I hope I hope it does I hope it I hope it did make sense just keep in mind uh that you have to find the right web pages to apply for these e visas and um if you’re going to either Cambodia
Vietnam or Laos we will uh link uh these web pages um in the description below so that you can make sure that you want get charged more than needed number two on our list is Vietnam and this is a funny one because as a Dane you know from
Denmark um I don’t need a visa to enter the country and I don’t really know if any other countries have to I do believe there are some countries that have to apply for a Visa in in terms of uh being let in if you’re going to Vietnam please
Make sure that you are able to um otherwise I can imagine that they are um doing the vaa the Visa upon arrival um but for your for your own good please make sure before you go to Vietnam also if you’re going to Vietnam it will cost you around
$25 uh in terms of uh get in um also if you want to uh be able to to enter the country more than once within uh a month uh you have to uh pay $50 us and then you will be able to leave the country come back
And so on and so on Etc the last country on our list is laas and laas um wants you to apply for an e Visa in terms of beet in the country um a Visa costs uh around between 40 to 45 maybe $50 us and they recommend doing this before you
