It’s that time again. We’re back with another one, this time in the one and only Tokyo, Japan. In addition to being lost and a little overwhelmed we found that Tokyo appears to be one of the best cities in the world if we do say so ourselves. Not only is Tokyo a cool city, it’s based on deep, deep traditional roots that are abundantly visible at every turn. I’ll include links as I write so feel free to use them as you need.

We started our trip by visiting the 4 level, 32,000 square foot Starbucks Reserve in Shinjuku. This was literally a Disneyland trip for Starbucks fans which Brittany is.

The roasters happened to be located right next to the meouro river which is one of the best spots for catching the cherry blossoms but we were 2 -3 weeks too early (sad face), so we made our way to the Tokyo tower and Sensoji Temple. You can definitely feel the honor and respect in the air as we made our way around town. The subway was the quietest we’ve ever heard and there was no shoving or rude comments whatsoever. It was really a sight to see.

The highlight of our trip was a late night escape to Ichiran Ramen. We’ll have to visit the location in NY soon to compare but what I can say is that this Ramen officially change our lives! We’ve been eating Ramen at a couple of places in Dallas, TX and they’ve all been ruined now. This bowl of Ramen was the single greatest thing we’ve ever eaten and tastes like centuries of knowledge and tradition in a bowl. WOW.

DOWNLOAD THIS APP BEFORE VISITING TOKYO! This became my main source on this trip, leaving google maps only for walking directions when I needed it.
