Flying back to India after Visiting 81 Countries!

So, I have an update for all of you. I’m leaving for the airport and let me tell you why am I going there. Manish is dropping me to the airport. I planned to go to Sierra Leone from here, but clashes broke out there, and curfew has been imposed.

The situation is very bad there. I had to go to Liberia from Sierra Leone followed by Ivory Coast, and continue my trip to Western Africa. Although I had some urgent work in India so I thought to go to India from Ivory coast & come to Ghana after finishing my work

To continue my trip from there to Nigeria, etc. But, I can’t go to Sierra Leonea and if I go to Ivory Coast directly from here I will have to come back to Conakry to go to Sierra Leone as Liberia lies in the middle. So, in simple words, I would’ve travelled

In the opposite direction. So, to avoid that I decided to wrap my work in India & take a break from this series of West Africa. You might see the next video right after this if I come back here from India to make videos live on the channel. Or it might take some time

And you might have to wait 7-10 days for new videos. This is the update for now. I am leaving for India. My journey has been smooth so far. I was enjoying it. I was facing a lot of challenges. But, I came prepared for this trip. So, I didn’t get troubled a lot

Or I wasn’t enjoying and hence going back. I had to go to India for some important work. I will come back as soon as I can and most likely continue the trip from here or I might go to another country if I plan. But, I’ll most likely come back here

And complete Western Africa’s trip. I’ll keep the bag in the car. You guys won’t believe it’s 5:30 am right now. My Ethiopian Airlines flight leaves at 8:30 a.m. from here to Addis Ababa and then to New Delhi. My flight is in 3 hours from now and I just booked it a while ago.

At night, I was wondering how to go about it, because I was confused about what to do and where to go. I slept after coming back from the waterfall as I had not slept well in 2-3 days. I got up and thought about what to do. But I could not find a solution

Hence I thought to go to India. You must have seen my last video and noticed that that I came to Guinea-Conakry but my visa wasn’t stamped. The immigration officer stamped and let me in. You’ll first get the visa online and with its printout, you get visa on arrival.

Then you get entry stamp at immigration. But I didn’t had to get stamp but directly exited as I knew someone here hence military officer took me out. Now that the duty has changed, I am not sure if the same staff is there I am not sure if I’ll have a problem.

But let’s see. I got done with everything and let me tell you. It was too much honestly. Corruption is off-limits here. I will tell you what happened. This is the boarding gate. I finished everything in 10-15 minutes & came here. There’re many online games & sites for playing

People in immigration, police, etc know them. So they had contacts everywhere. They didn’t stamp my visa the day I came and let me out directly.

The staff recognized me as they informed about my landing time. So, even the immigration officer was a military man had a board with my name on it in the visa’s queue. But, it’s 5:30 am right now and it was 6-7 p.m. that day, so the staff had to be different.

Since it’s a poor country, people stand outside the airport waiting for people to give them work like picking bags, ask for their assistance. So, they take money & in return pick up your bags or assist you. This is common in Africa, especially in West Africa and in poor or underdeveloped countries.

It’s even common in Guinea. So, boys were standing outside the airport. Manish who was with me, works at Waheguru Travels. Honestly, everyone took great care of me. Anyway, Manish asked one of them to accompany me and he would’ve dealt with him for money. So, he was about to accompany me

& there’s a policeman right at the entry who took my passport and said, ‘money’. ‘Please give me money. Please 10,000’ 10,000… I think their currency is Guinea Franc and $1 has about 8500 GNF. So, 10000 GNF will be about ₹100 ($1.16) So, he asked for money, and I told him

To take it from my friend and I won’t pay. So, I entered inside. After that, the guy who was with me… There’s no internet or wifi connectivity. There’s instability here, so internet has been shut for 4-5 days. How would I have informed Manish about my immigration clearance and he would’ve just waited.

I thought my internet wouldn’t work hence Manish asked that guy to assist me at the airport and help pick my bags. As soon as I clear immigration, he asked him to go inform him. and that guy agreed. So, he went with me to airline counter as they saw him…

The business-class counter is usually empty so they took me there and printed boarding pass within a minute. It wasn’t too crowded so even if I stood in economy-class queue I could’ve checked-in within 10 minutes. But anyways, all the men in uniform tried to find ways to bump into me

Or I cross them or have a deal with them so that they take my passport & ask for money. I took my boarding pass & then a lady called me from far. She kept seeing my passport and asked for money in French. But, I told them to talk to him.

Then she agreed & asked me to go. After that, the custom officer asked me to empty my pocket. He asked me to take out all the cash I had. Taking out the cash means they’ll know how much money I have basis which they’ll demand money or keep the cash.

This is also risky here. They do this even at airports. I had already hidden my cash and I said, ‘No cash!’ so the custom officer said, I must pay, or he will not let me go. So, I said to deal with the guy, as I won’t. Then he had a conversation with him

And then asked me to go. The guy is still with me. He cleared custom, then we came at immigration and he even cleared that with me. Immigration officer saw, I don’t have visa on passport as I have already told you. She asked for the visa, and I showed it on phone.

I didn’t know French & she didn’t know English. I somehow explained that I didn’t get a visa on my passport. She got shocked as how that happened. But, nothing to be shocked about as it’s common in these countries. She stamped the passport without seeing and asked me to go. Then there was security

And everyone was looking at me to ask money. The guy is still with me. It is happening when I have a local with me having contacts here. Still, this is happening with me. If I had come alone, where I don’t know anyone in the country I can only think of the challenges

That would’ve come. I’m finally at the boarding gate now. The guy went back. He’ll inform Manish that I got done with everything. I’ll board the flight in a while. I have 2–2.5 hours. I don’t have internet access. It’s a 9.5 hour flight from here to Ethiopia & I don’t have internet.

Then, I’ve a 7 hour flight to India again without internet. I’ll spend next 24 hours without internet. I won’t have any connectivity and let’s see how I spend my time. It’s 7:30 am now. Boarding is about to start in half an hour. I’ll get something to eat for the last time.

Wifi started working. It has been working on and off. Like I said, internet service is shut here. But, I’m using it with VPN. So, I’m able to send messages even if they deliver late. I think boarding has started. I just met a subscriber. I have been meeting them anywhere. It feels great,

As earlier I rarely met someone. I met someone or another even in Africa. I got this water bottle for 20,000 GNF ($2.33). It’s about ₹200. I also got a croissant. I got a plain one, as they didn’t have chocolate. This is for 15,000 GNF ($1.74) or ₹150. Before getting on the flight,

They rechecked the bags, etc. This is my second journey with Ethiopian Airlines. During the first journey, I took 3-4 flights. Delhi to Addis Ababa, followed by Egypt (Cairo). In 2019, I made a video of the Mursi tribe in Ethiopia, was my 1st time with Ethiopian Airline. I’m experiencing it again after 4.5 years.

I took a seat with extra leg space. The exit gate seat! I think I paid about ₹1500 ($18.07) for this. It’s a 9-hour journey from here to Addis Ababa. It’s for about 9 hour 40 minutes. So, I had to sit for 10 hours. It’s great as I’ve tall legs and

They don’t fit in normal seats. I opted for this. I didn’t sleep at night, so I’ll sleep well now. I’ll sleep for the next 9–10 hours. Hopefully, I fall asleep. It’s extremely cold here. I’ve got to go on transfers. It’s crowded here. 4 years ago, when I came in 2019,

This airport wasn’t that great. They’ve definitely made changes here and it seems so new. It looks great! They’re all those who are transferring. Look how crowded it is. I am shocked to see the development of Ethiopia. I bought an Ethiopian coffee. When I came to Ethiopia in 2019

I used to sustain by drinking this. Since I didn’t have money, I used to buy coffee and get sugar refilled repeatedly so that I get full by having sugar. I didn’t earn from YouTube in the beginning. I came to this place next to it. They burn this with coffee for fragrance.

The airport is filled with its aroma, and I was reminded of Ethiopia. I’m having coffee here again. Its for $2 here and was for $3 at the last place. I got coffee from another place. It was for $2 here. Oh, it’s great. The flight took off at 8:30 am from Conakry

And halted at Burkina Faso’s capital – Ouagadougou. It halted for an hour. The passengers did not deboard, but some did board. It halted at the airport. I had the seat with extra leg room so I kept sleeping. Then it took off again and landed at 8 p.m. local Ethiopian time.

Boarding is about to start soon. It has to start at 10:10 & will take off at 10:55 from here to Delhi. It’s a direct flight to Delhi from here. The last flight just took a halt and I’ve to change this flight. I’ll reach Delhi in a few hours. I brought unlimited internet

In flight for $25. It will work in both flights. So, in about ₹2000-2100 I got internet connectivity in the flight. I could pass my time, slept, & I’ll also work for a bit in the next flight. So, I was able to pass my time otherwise it is a long journey.

18-19 hours in the plane. I would’ve been bored without internet. But, I’m able to pass time if I’ve internet. Let’s go and board now. They change the boarding gate at the last moment. It was boarding time & the gate was A6 but then announced the gate us C4.

There aren’t many TV screens either. I heard the announcement and mostly Indians are headed that way. I met an Indian family who lives in Botswana They said they watch my videos They were headed to A6 & I told them to hurry as the gate changed. So, they’re coming behind me.

I am here at the seat. I have the window seat this time. There’re many Indians in this flight. As I approached my seat from the aisle… a man…people recognized me. So, a boy shook hands with me and didn’t leave my hand, & kept talking. There was a line behind me,

And I had to go to my seat. There was a line behind me so I tried to move ahead but he held my hand & kept talking, saying he watches my videos, etc. To make sure he doesn’t feel bad I also couldn’t go but he held my hand for about a minute.
