Indonesia’s friendliest village (PART 2) | Authentic activities in Tetebatu, Lombok | Travel vlog
Wo oh my God this is what everybody wants from traveling Right welcome back guys we are finally back with part two of our video for Indonesia’s friendliest Village you already know what it is because we told you in the first part what do you mean you’ve not seen it we’ll link it at the top of the screen now so you can check
That out as well we’re back in tabat we’re going to be showing you more of the interactions we have with the lovely local people here as well as all the activities we get up to first off we’re heading to some waterfalls let’s go trying to work out where it’s par
Yeah a lot more people here than we thought so I did actually read on some reviews that foreigners get a bit mugged off here or sometimes can get a bit mugged off people saying that they’ve tried to charge them 125 entry which is really expensive for waterfalls usually
They’re 20 I think the most we’ve paid is 40 so we’ve got to watch out for that but hopefully it will will be okay okay so we went into what looks like an information center in there and they were trying to tell us it’s like 120 there’s four waterfalls so you can
Do like two waterfalls for 90 or like 120 for four for one person which to be honest I don’t think it’s right I think we’re being mugged off a bit it’s one of those things where sometimes it’s like is it better just just to pay like you know you’re giving money to
Locals and go and see the waterfalls or have we gone to a bit of the wrong place and we can just sort of walk down a bit and uh maybe get in for for cheaper or for the actual price I personally am not getting good vibes from this place we’ve
Read all the Google reviews saying that the waterfall has a very small entrance fee I mean me and Eve have been in Indonesia now for 3 months over 3 months and we’ve never paid 120k as a western tourist you do expect to pay a little bit more but not that much all right
We’ve decided that we’re going to go to a different waterfall because this one’s not giving us the Good Vibes bad vibes bad vibes bad VI we found one about 20 minutes away that’s got much better reviews so always check that’s where we’re going that’s where we’re going hopefully this
Will live up to the good reviews in the way that this has lived up to the bad reviews that helmet is so big on your head look how big so like when I’m when we driving and I have something in each hand and this just like wobbling around
I feel like so me and Eve have just arrived at the next waterfall and already getting much better Vibes it does look like it’s about to absolutely throw it down so I wonder how long we’re going to have here oh my God couple of local kids at the top stopped and took
Some photos with us always nice and for two people we paid 50,000 rupia so a lot more reasonable yeah a lot more reasonable would have been 250 for two at the other place at the other place see I don’t mind paying a bit more when you’re here in these countries as a
Tourist you probably should pay a bit more but 250 for two people to go to a waterfall I mean we’ve been to tumac seru in Java one of the biggest waterfalls in Indonesia nowhere near as expensive as that 50k for 2 much better I am pretty sure it’s going to rain
Soon oh let’s see let’s see will it hold out oh God home with trips this is it e there she is yeah that’s all right that is that’s all right she’s bigger than I thought she was going to be oh this is beautiful right now we just have
To hope that the heavens don’t open before we get down there W God wa oh my God that is bigger than I thought oh that’s really cool look at that I know cool Right this boy has decided he want to put his swimming short on look at it you’ve got to get in get involved get in you can’t stand under it the force of that c and just like That anyone else feel weird watching that like is about to be just taken away yeah I do do you know what I’ve got to stay fa play because I don’t fany it how was that L makes you feel so alive you know Co bye guys bye that was a lovely
Experience we were the only people there just as we were leaving a group of local kids turned up really friendly everybody here has been so nice this is like the friendliest town I’ve have ever been to in the whole of Southeast Asia everyone’s just so happy everyone’s so
Happy to have a chat with you I can hear the thunder now the heavens are going to open I thought I’d keep my swimming trunks on for the drive home cuz I can imagine we’re going to get absolutely soed oh yeah that’s yeah make me all wet
With your wet swimming trunks on the back of the bike cheers Bob and just like that it started raining so for mine and Eve’s final activity of today we are going coffee roasting we haven’t got to go too far from this place we’ve literally just left our home stay behind me and the
Coffee Roastery is there over there this is something that me and Eve are very excited for because we love coffee and we actually haven’t done this before and lombok coffee is very good look at this look at this walk beautiful that is beautiful what a lovely little walk up to that I hope
You’re all uh noting that I have my trainers on now since I’ve lost my shoes oh no I’ve lost my shoe I’ve lost my shoe oh oh oh no we’ve lost it we’ve lost the too so we’re not really sure what this is going to entail so your guess is as
Good as mine but the business is actually ran by one of the people that works at the homestead and I get the idea like you get a little look into how it’s done roast your own and then sit and have a coffee hello hello hello thank you sitting here yeah
Sitting before okay 5 minutes ago maybe oh really warm these beans here have just been roasted 5 minutes ago 5 minutes ago 5 minutes ago okay so we started with the dry coffee beans and from there you have to heat them up to roast them they’re heated up in a clay pot
But the wood that you use to like create the the heat the fire has to be from a coconut because it impacts the flavor so it’s like coconut wood heat it up for like 15 to 20 minutes stirring it the whole time so we’ve now roasted the
Coffee now we’ve got to turn it from a bean into a powder with this giant stick harder than it looks heavy more power harder than it looks so after the coffee has been ground up it’s then been put into a Sie and sifted and then the
Remaining bit on the top is EMP put back in to be smashed up again it smells really good yeah we get to try it now best part first sip of the coffee that I participated in making delicious can you taste the hard work I can I can taste the passion can taste
The elbow grease yeah you only take for granted where your food and drink actually comes from when you come somewhere like this and understand the whole process that goes into making this cup of coffee it’s crazy it’s it’s really interesting we paid 100,50 per person so that was like £250 each to
Make our own coffee and we have a sample of it such a great experience honestly they also press coconut will here and they’ll tell you all about that as well very interesting honestly we’ve learned so much we’ve had a great day we have had a great day we have had a great day
Like the best day the best day so this evening for dinner our home state asked if we wanted to have a local dinner with them and their family which sounds like the perfect traveling experience like this is what everybody wants from traveling right like really getting involved with like local culture
So we’re really excited I don’t know what food we’re having I don’t know what we’re doing but I think it’s going to be like a sit on the floor a few different dishes to try kind of thing and I’m really excited for it I’m also kind of
Hungry so let’s go see what we’re having Bob are you hungry starving mate starving starving I’m starving mate let’s Go Don’t know how I Expl you’re the cure to all my P [Applause] Py or morning uh last night was so lovely there was um a French couple with two kids that were here as well so we all sat down together and ate our food we had a mix of different Indonesian dishes and the food was really good like
Let me tell you like so good some of the best we’ve had in Indonesia which I guess makes sense because it was home cooked by locals probably the most authentic food we’ve had and we will have we ate our food together and then sang some songs the guy got a guitar out
It was just so lovely it was like a real sense of like Community doing something like that is really nice especially when you’re in a more remote area because there’s not a lot of like options for going out and eating but that’s not why you come here either like you come here
For this experience of eating with locals and like staying with a local family one of the best things we’ve done I think traveling it’s been so lovely so there you go guys Teta Batu in Northern lombok is the friendliest Village in Indonesia we would love to hear your

Salam from batik city pekalongan
I think they are not trying to overcharge tourist, especially when it is official. In Indonesia, tourism area usually has two kinds of tickets, first lokal tourist, second for international tourist. In many place, the price for international tourist can be at least 4 times than lokal tourist.
I heard in other countries of southeast asia also have dual prices like this.
Semoga anda berkesan telah mengunjungi negara kami Indonesia
I been waiting this vlogs as usual
Maybe today is your luck to get a cheap price because when you come again in the future, Indonesia will have become a super power country and everything will definitely be much more expensive..😂😂✌🤞
Happy enjoy in Indonesia guys
I’ve visited Indonesia once. It is the nicest country I have ever visited. The local people were very nice and hospitable. ❤❤

Such a beautiful place…
what are you talking about?
the whole waterfall site runs by local community with their local government rules. including the ticket rates
infact, all of the tourism sites in Indonesia runs by local community and the government with local government rules.
even if it is a UNESCO sites like Borobudur or Subak Bali sites which runs by UNESCO with the government, you have to pay 4 to 5 time more expensive than locals entrance fee
well, i get your logic and respect your opinion.
you have to manage your expenses while far from home. for some people, nine bucks is a lot of money and for others is just a meal.
but for people who have to travel half of the world just to be there, they definitely missed a beautiful waterfall experience in the end.
Great video as always!!
Loved this so wholesome ❤
Awesome 😁
I suggest you be more careful when you want to shop or buy food in Indonesia, because usually many traders increase prices for foreign tourists like you. Usually the price of food is cheap, only 10 thousand rupiah, but naughty traders increase the price to 50 thousand rupiah. Many foreign tourists have become victims of fraud by traders in Indonesia. I don't mean to belittle Indonesians, but that's what happened. in my experience as an Indonesian myself.
Have you ever noticed, countries that are 'religious' and uphold their customs and culture on average have a society that really respects/respects guests/other people, because they believe in one thing, 'what we sow, we will reap later day'. Enjoy your vacation. while in Indonesia 😁
be careful not to be directly under the waterfall, several cases of tourists dying at the waterfall because their heads were hit by rocks and wood from above, no matter how small the rock or wood is, if the waterfall is big it has the potential to kill people under it.
I love British aksen 🥰👍
