American Reacts to Stuttgart – Germany’s MOST BEAUTIFUL City?

Ario hello it’s almost the weekend how cool is that we’re looking at uh Germany’s most beautiful city well that’s what this is titled um I believe the city is called uh stutgart or something along those lines uh forgive my pronunciation if it’s not perfect but

Uh I do not know much about this place other than uh as a car guy I do remember seeing this in a logo does anyone know which that is uh if we go to Google and type in Porsche of course uh there you go you can see I don’t know

Why this is so low res let’s find a better one there we go you can see Porsche right their Shield which is I thought is always a cool logo and if you notice it says stutgart right there so that’s pretty cool so I’m assuming that’s where they’re from or

Where they’re headquartered or something I’m not sure but I’ve always noticed that in there so yeah that’s where I know at least this name anyway we’re looking at this video from things to see It’ll be linked down below so you can check out this whole video of course brows their Channel let’s

Go assuming it might be all music so we have the castle Solitude that’s pretty uh elaborate very nice look at that view too that’s actually a really nice view looks like it’s up on a hill perhaps ooh nice all the horses I mean that’s kind of fitting consider there’s

A prancing horse on the Porsche logo assuming there’s some history there wow look at high-end Shops look at the floor is so nice when I see these European countries it’s really cool look at we have a presumably a Tesla dealership Louis Vuitton I mean this is

A high-end area um you see this girl doing her shopping but it’s really cool with the landscaping or the plants and trees I should say and then this really premium looking floor and it’s outdoor it’s really cool space base actually totally different aesthetic than most uh or if not all American

Cities wow indoor market nice you can of course find these in American cities but this is this would be really fun to visit for me CU it’d be so different in Germany look at that wow of course the architecture is just awesome beautiful sunny day wow how hot does it get I’m assuming

This looks like everything’s green and Lush so maybe this was filmed in summertime you know how hot does it get in parts of Germany I it’s one thing I’ve always wonder I’ve never really looked into weather in in a lot of various parts throughout Europe I remember hearing and even covering that

There’s been some heat waves in the past couple Summers have been really bad Art Museum cool they should have a Porsche in that art museum man I tell you what some of those Porsche 911s are like works of art in my opinion they’re uh they’re easily some

Of the best cars ever man they’re so cool wow that is Grand it amazes me old architecture like how did people even build this stuff right like how it’s insane these old statues are really fascinating o that’s one thing I have to look at I’ve been told to look at

Gardens throughout Europe and I haven’t yet not really anyway that would be cool to look into stutgart Central Station wow whoa what is this some sort of massive project oh look at that mall damn even the mall game in Germany is freaking highend damn you know I I like malls personally

And there’s only a few pockets in the US where malls are still holding on but I’d say as a whole malls are I’m sure you maybe have seen videos or headlines before like shopping malls are kind of dying uh in big numbers in the US they’re just not as popular as they used

To be um when I was a kid that was a place to be and Illinois actually had some really good malls but uh they have a lot less now than they used to but some of these malls I see internationally look spectacular and they look like they’re vibrant still

Oh look at that Mercedes I like it I was going to say it’s a udog but it’s not it’s a different Mercedes a library damn that thing’s massive oh my God whoa look at that Library that’s insane that could do that could get a whole video of its own what the

Heck that looks like it’s out of a freaking movie have they filmed a movie here like a movie scene this looks like it’s out of like Star Wars or something holy crap it’s huge and it’s futuristic looking damn that’s cool came a long way huh wa oo

Cool look at that what the heck zoos are always fun interesting seeing all the animals what is that little guy I am horrible Animals by the way some people just know like they point to an animal and they know what it is I’m not I’ve never been good at them I love

Animals I just for some reason I’m not good at remembering the you know thousands of different species W look at these trees wow some spectacular like uh Greenery and landscaping that’s for sure very um manicured and Polished look at that Lookout wow you know the landscape there’s is great too it’s like

Not quite mountainous but it’s not flat it’s like these valleys with these big hills on the outside it’s really cool actually that reminds me of um kind of like Nashville area like Tennessee Tennessee is very mountainous in the eastern part but the western part or the central part is more just like Hills

Like that it’s really pretty I’m sure there’s fun parks everywhere I wonder how the park game is throughout different countries in Europe I’m sure it’s awesome Porsche Museum okay that’s where I’d be going oh my God look at that that is aesthetic damn I’ve never seen a building like

That oh my God that’s so cool that’s what’s kind of cool especially I notice about Germany is you get this mixture of like this incredible intricate old you know European architecture that is mind-blowing and it’s mixed with like this super futuristic clean aesthetic it it’s kind

Of a cool clash in my opinion even this part like this is cool this uh sculpture I don’t know what you would call it but you have the Porsches like the new and the old kind of like you know racing up there it’s really neat actually that’s a really cool Museum dude damn

Rent me you can rent Porsches there oh man I need to go sign me up for that look at that oh my God I would spend all day there who look at that trophy collection damn do you think Porsche has been successful or what dude what is that a freaking like

Ax wi in there what is this like a Star Wars machine holy smokes don’t tell me Porsche made the freaking X-Wing that’s actually really cool and a Mercedes ben Museum Mercedes ben I’m sorry that was a weird missp Mercedes Benz um it all started with these right the motor

Carriage damn I would visit that too they’ve got a crazy history they’ve made so many vehicles dude oh my God these are beautiful wow what are these are these old like 60s or 50s or something damn those are gorgeous wow look at these what the hell are these elevators even they’re Motorsports look

At Mercedes-Benz they have everything Open Wheel there’s that badass uh what was it group uh Group C like the saber C9 or something what a badass machine dude is this a CK GTR that thing’s awesome as well oh my God and then even trucks look at that GT cars

Dude yeah Mercedes definitely knows what they’re doing as well with Motorsports wow that was a crazy car what is that that’s kind of cool television tower look look at that look out wo what a view Chinese Garden that’s pretty cool I don’t think I’ve ever been to a

Chinese Garden before uh locally there is a very well-renowned actually Nationwide there’s a very well-renowned uh Japanese garden near me called Anderson Japanese gardens in Illinois um that would be actually I haven’t gotten to tour the whole thing so I probably should do that that was really cool that was some highlights of

Stutgart I like doing City learning about a little bit about cities and stuff and I haven’t done these kind of videos in quite a while I used to do a lot more of them but uh yeah I’d like to catch up on some Germany is just fascinating and then you know you have

Different regions different cities different you know small towns whatever right there’s so much more to explore and learn about uh but wow I feel like we haven’t I haven’t really like heard a lot or talked about stutgart at all I always hear about Munich and Berlin and

You know Frankfort and stuff I never really hear about this place and um I figured I’d start with somewhere different this place is awesome wow plus you have like the kind of Motorsports connection with the Porsche and I guess even Mercedes-Benz that’s really cool I don’t know I’m not qualified to say it’s

The most beautiful city or not because I don’t know barely anything about you know City versus City in uh Germany so yeah I mean that that’s for maybe you guys to decide it certainly looks nice like it it’s definitely beautiful I can definitely say that and you know if you

Guys are from there or uh you have visited there you know how was it I would love to hear about it uh that was really cool and of course your suggestions are uh super appreciated so you know where should we take a look at next uh on all ears I do appreciate you

  1. Born, raised and still living here, I have to tell you, that this city, which was worth living in back then, has turned into a shithole just like most cities here in Germany. You can take beautiful photos or visit museums here. But that's about it. If you want to go out with friends in the evening, I can promise you that you'll be mobbed by at least 10 scumbags from the Middle East. Sad but true – I´m not joking.

  2. There are very many beautiful cities all around Europe. My suggestion is that you check out old cities/towns that faired well during the WW2-bombings. Many of the old buildings there are still standing, and that is an architechture you won´t find in the US. Since I live in (and love) Vienna, that is my recommendation for your next destination. 🙂 Of course, you will still find the occational oddball new house on many streets, because of the bombing, but the city survived mostly intact. Fun fact: the public aquarium is housed in an old Flakturm (air defence tower).

  3. Working in Stuttgart for 10 years now…. Stuttgart and beautiful city? Hahahahahaha. That's my kind of humor. Yes, the city has a few nice spots here and there, but comparing the video to the reality… Oh my.

  4. Ian the city is located on the edge (ish) of the Black Forest, home of cuckoo clocks and gorgeous scenery all year round. That and the Alps (French, German, Swiss, Italian and Austrian) plus the Italian Dolomites are subjects you should investigate. Plus the Tatra mountains between Poland and Slovakia. "Flying the Nest" did a great tour through the Tatras and Our Story to Tell did a couple of good day/weekend trips through the Swiss Alps and the Black Forest areas.

  5. I'm working just a stone throw away from the Porsche Museum as a weekend commuter. The high gloss pictures of Stuttgart are surely amazing, but I'll always remain a small town kid. Big cities offer a lot of activities, so they're definitely worth a touristic visit but living there has challenges starting with the huge daily traffic jams at the Porsche monument and not ending with high rents. If you ever make it to the Porsche Museum I'd be glad to invite you to our canteen.
The Mecedes Benz Museum is also impressive and worth a visit especially for cylinder heads like you're.

  6. Ian, I am from Stuttgart, Mercedes Benz and Porsche are from Stuttgart and the surrounding suburbans. As a industrial city, Stuttgart was HEAVILY bombed during WWII. So, not much beauriful buildings left here, BUT a Part of Stuttgart, on the other side of the river Neckar is Bad Cannstatt. This is better preserved and some of the houses are VERY old. There is a Half timbered house that is around 1,500 YEARS old and was a sort of hospital where an order of ladies helped the sick and wounded. Bad Cannstatt was originally founded by the Romans because of healing water from MANY wells and springs here.
    Thanks for you interrest.

  7. The statue of the relaxing old man and the younger watching for him, Was King Wilhelm the 2nd of Wuerttemberg and the saying: He could trust in his subject (and he could) and put his head in every mans lap for a rest. He went to the market to buy some vegetables or other things, WITHOUT bodyguards, only his little dachshounds were with him.

  8. This in the only Zoological and botanical, historical garden in Germany, founded by the father of the afor mentioned King and a must visit in Stuttgart. I worked there for 20 years as volontary guide and 7 years as security. IF you ever come to Stuttgart, it would be MY pleasure to give you a guided tour through the zoo and a bit of Stuttgart. Tell me what interests you and I can make a plan.
    Sincerely Elmar from Germany

  9. The. title one of the most beautifulst cities ? after ww2 thats wrong.
You can find a few intresting buildings, but not the whole city.
For example downtown of munich was rebuilt in the old style, but not stuttgart. Stuttgart city or downton is in a Valley with some green areas.

  10. Stuttgart is not bad, but Munich is one level better – more historic buildings, better landscape around (on sunny days you have the whole panorama of the Alps as gigantic background), also BMW museum is better than Porsche museum.
And if sb is interested in historic and modern town architecture combined in one city come to DRESDEN – my new hometown (I am born in Bavaria, lived for a long time in Prague and now in Dresden).
When I step out of the house (from were I have a gigantic panorama view of all the city of Dresden), I can go by cable car down to river Elbe and walk to city center, watch the steam boats with tourists on the river, go to one of the many beer gardens, or alternatively I take the magnetic version of this cable car, which is 300m away, for the same purpose.
I can go also to the mainstreet of my district called Weißer Hirsch (all the neighbourhood only old large villas from 1850-1930), take the tram and I will drive along 3 castles (called Elbe castles) in direction of city center. I could also drive 10 min by tram or bus in opposite direction and would reach the summer castle of the Saxonion kings.
In the city center you have after that the city castle, besides the gigantic Opera house (the most famous in Germany), the Orangerie (gigantic historic complex called Zwinger, which houses the largest exhibition of Old master paitings in Germany and the largest exhibition of porcelain from Meißen – the oldest in Europe).
In the city center there is also the gigantic newly build copy of the historic Frauenkirche cathedral (which was destroyed in WW2), various others churches, the historic city hall, the historic main railway station, even the police station and the court are very historic complexes.
And besides this there is now – after 35 years of reconstruction – a completely modern shopping and living space in all the city center, with many nice hotels, malls, restaurants etc.
From Dresden you are in 2 h in Berlin, in 1,5 h in Prague or in 2,5 h in Breslau (Poland, former German city) – which is one of the main differences to USA: here you have many different cultures on a short distance.
