Exploring Split, Croatia
Good afternoon this time from Sunny split um as you can see we’ve got a beautiful warm sunny day here um we’re right probably about an hour ago um came by bus from Zada really quite bizarre I’m surprised the bus wasn’t canceled actually because there was USS and one
Other guy on the bus and we had the whole coach to ourselves it was quite a good ride um we have been to split before we were last here in 2016 um but unfortunately I actually got sick while we were in ppus Lakes the first time and ended up in hospital both
In split and in deenik so I didn’t get to see much of it so this is just a fleeting overnight visit um cuz I missed out pretty much last time so we’ll be leaving again at Mid day tomorrow so we’re just going to have a wander around um down the prominade we’re staying
Again in the Oldtown very close to the prominade but the Waterfront here is absolutely beautiful and it really helps it’s a nice really nice sunny day um very clear day clear sky so we’re hoping that we might get a nice sunset tonight and the host that owns our apartment is
Actually told us about a Lookout Point that we can go um later on tonight where you can see the whole city so we’re really hoping for a a neat Sunset since we’ve got such a clear day here when we wake hear the birds and see the Sun s our fears
It oh the good times just begun we know what we have let’s hold on so the kids are just enjoying sitting by the water in the Sun so I’m just going to go for a wand and yeah see what’s Around you and I we got it we don’t need no More even in the heart you can weather any Stor before I sleep the Crick see the moon lunchtime just come for lunch down the Waterfront wow he’s so funny pretending he doesn’t know me Do so we just had lunch at Basta Basta right down on the waterfront really sorry it’s very very sunny out here um yeah really nice food surprisingly it was actually cheaper to eat right on the waterfront than what it was um back towards the center of town
With um further away from the water really nice view and yeah quite nice food um reasonable price hello so we’re now go now going up to the city Lookout um but the kids are finding all the kitties on the way and there’s heaps of cats oh that light gray one’s pretty I know
It’s so cute it’s a bit SC though yeah yeah there’s absolutely heaps of cats in Croatia I mean I guess there Strays but the locals seem to come out and feed them um cuz we were in Zarda yesterday and A lady turned up on a bike
And was feeding a group of cats um so we’ll probably go to if we can find a supermarket or something quite soon we’ll go and get a bag of biscuits or something or either so we can feed the kitties on the way but yeah there’s cats
Everywhere but yeah they do do seem to be well looked after even though I guess technically they are Strays this little gray one is so pretty shy Kitty it keeps coming close to me but then if I try and hey little kitty they’re both so cute more kitties oh here comes another
One wow hello you’re friendly hello you’re very friendly oh I love that one’s face pattern it’s got white socks meow meow so we made it up to the lookout that can see right over the entire city This Ni something spe She’s a swe she’s so Nice cat wait 21 cat now look it’s Ginger it’s a R That these little laway are so cool but yeah also kind of creepy at night ready love these old towns but yeah they’re a little bit dark and spooky at night when we were staying in uh Zada Zada wouldn’t go out at night without Adam I mean I guess you know the area
Was safe and I didn’t feel unsafe but just a little bit dark and spooky speech just running down to the Waterfront again to see if we can catch Sunset it’s getting a bit orange there not a lot of cloud but should still hopefully look quite Pretty N M This So good morning from split we are out down the water front again um our bus to De brnik we were supposed to be leaving at 8:30 this morning um the bus was cancelled and we’re now on a 12:30 little it has actually worked out quite well because we’re down um spending more
Time at the waterfront and the kids actually want to go back and feed all the kitty cats that we found yesterday so we’ve been to the supermarket got a couple of bags of cat biscuits and now we’re on the great kitty cat hunt there’s Emma with her little bag of
Supplies she found a um toris shell cat yesterday that she quite likes so she’s going to go back and see if the same kitty cat is up at the lookout again this morning we’ve been so lucky with the weather here though at the moment um yeah I’m
Just wearing a t-shirt and a very light fleece do have my ski jacket tied around my waist cuz sometimes the wind up at the lookout’s a bit cold but um yeah really nice warm and sunny it’s pretty much like it’s the middle of summer probably not in the middle of the path
Any in case people come past put some by the back wall for the little shy one Lexi there’s bis there off from somebody else I’m so sorry my finger oh here comes another kitty oh go where the tby this one’s so silky I want to find my black
One crazy cat lady Lexi real so cute oh we found the little cute little gray one and the black one from yesterday this is my favorite I hope I find oh look I mean the good thing is they all do look in really good condition so obviously people do come and feed them
There’s just so many so many cats around but I guess it’s okay eating this one is apparently Edge Sharon cuz he has a little Ginger tupe yep very hello puss pusses the sun doesn’t seem to like this flavor that one’s a huge C so we’re back from the kitty cat hunt
Um this is the street that we’re staying on and we’re on the first floor apartment with a balcony that overlooks the street lei’s found a candy shop so we’re back upstairs after our visit to the candy shop and this is the view that we’ve got from our room down to the
Prominade I can just hear Adam questioning the kids about the candy shop so this is the view from our balcony that’s just the um the Waterfront that we were just walking along on the way back and down the street it’s quite a nice little Street the apartment is really nice and
Comfy this is just in from the balcony got a lounge area here fully equipped kitchen fridge oven cooktop there’s dishwasher in that drawer there microwave it’s really good layout for families cuz Adam’s and my bedroom was at the end here really nice comfortable bed and super comfy pillows we’ve had a
Bit of strife with beds on the trip some comfy some not so comfy and we have an on Suite which is really good and they actually supplied all the shower gels in that for us so come from our room out into the entrance way now this is the main bathroom that
The girls used that they need to come and pick up their towels full bathroom washing machine and you’ve got iring board and clothes here it no dryer but with the heat pumps in here the clothes dry overnight absolutely no problem and then down the hallway is the girls room quite large
The beds can either be together or separate but yeah it was um everybody really enjoyed having their own space and the kids being quite a distance away from us and yeah very comfortable place very happy with it it is my monova luxury rooms very close to
The prominade right in the old town of split so if you’re looking for somewhere to come and stay in Split highly recommend It

In split, we again stayed in the Old Town area exploring the narrow little streets, and along the waterfront close to where we stayed.
We were told of the city lookout by the owner of the apartment we rented, and got some drone footage giving another perspective of the amazing buildings and view.
