Before when I was a kid like with my mom to go visit family and we actually drove from Arizona through California and Oregon and Washington I was probably 10 or 11 years old so I kind of remember it but I definitely need to go back as an adult in my own car

Independently just to have my own EXP experience uh where did where was I last at in the comments oh boy um okay where is your next stop on the adventure so I’m going to go visit some friends and family in Arizona uh and Then I guess I’ll just announce it here I’m actually teaching yoga at a vanli festival over in Southern California at the end of March so that’s my like big next Adventure um and I’m really excited for that I’m really excited to like meet people in the van lifee community in

Person and I’ll be there in my tiny Honda Accord so I’ll probably stick out like a sore thumb but I’m really excited to meet people and teach yoga there and just have a more in-person experience all right we got people from Maine oo I really want to go to Maine

Maine is really really far away but if I ever make it over to the east coast I would want to go to the great lakes and Maine specifically aadia National Park uh Georgia Austin Texas Denver we love Denver I’ve spent the last two summers in Denver I also like Austin Texas to

Atlanta I’ve heard cool things about Atlanta actually I want to go there um how are the retreat signups going currently we have four people coming and they’re all campers so if you don’t know I recently launched grounded Retreats which is my yoga retreats business I guess um and the first

Retreat will be held in New Mexico and I rented out an Airbnb so there’s an option to rent bedrooms but so far everybody’s booked the camper option which I’m really excited about because that was my main intention Behind These treats is to get some of you guys out

Fashion I am not interested in having kids uh fun fact my dad also didn’t want kids but here I am he he loved me even after he had me but he never wanted kids and I’m right there with them I think that’s uh not for me but I could

Definitely see myself having a piece of property in like a home base in the future can I afford that now no but living in my car and saving up for that don’t even ask me where I would want to settle down I have no idea that’s kind of the intention of

Traveling full-time is to explore the states and see which state I like the best leaning towards new Mexico right now but we’ll see hi from Toronto oo I want to go to Canada so bad I might go this summer to some of the national parks probably not

Toronto cuz big cities stress me out but um yeah Canada sounds really cool uh the weather in Canada does not sound great but the weather here right now is beautiful um I’m kind of in the mountainous area of New Mexico but it’s let’s see there the thermometer it’s between 50 and 60°

Outside right now and there’s like a cool breeze so it’s crisp I would say I wish I still lived in Vegas I would have checked out the retreat um I actually grew up two hours south of Vegas um so anytime someone brings up Vegas I think that’s interesting I

Personally would never live there but I see the appeal um and actually for the retreat we have someone driving from Texas and someone driving from Oregon so you can come from wherever I’m just I’m just saying it might take a little bit of time but um it’s possible and I’m

Also creating um a map so on my website I have my Ultimate Guide to car life where it’s a map that I can share overnight parking places to stop hikes um restaurant recommendations like all kinds of things I’m making a very similar version of that to give to

Participants of the retreat so if you sign up for the retreat you will get access to a map with suggestions of where to stop along the way if you’re planning to road trip to the retreat so I’m trying to make this as accessible to everybody as I possibly can and if this

One’s not nearby or accessible to you I will hopefully be able to host more retreats in the future that are in different locations so stay tuned you’re going to ismir that’s really cool um I’ve heard a lot about like Istanbul and like that sounds very overwhelming to me as not a city person

Great um I I grew up in a very small town and a lot of people that I grew up with already have one two three kids which like that’s for them that’s great I love that for them that’s their life that’s great um but that’s not the life

That I want so that’s why I’m living in my car um if I hit the Power Ball I would give you 100,000 for a van I love that that’s that’s great I’m trying to get an upgraded rig for less than 50,000 in the near future so spoiler stay

Tuned yeah New Mexico is great cost of living is seriously manageable yeah I think the less popular the state the more affordable it is and I hope New Mexico stays that way forever um I I hope everyone from California keeps going to Arizona or Texas and they just skip over New

Mexico um have you ever thought about getting another vehicle like a van bus box truck um or sticking with Rhonda the Honda so I I kind of want to keep Ronda the Honda forever we’ll see if I can manage that but she gets great gas mileage and there’s nothing wrong with

Her and I don’t want to get rid of her but I would like to have more space so I’m interested in a van but the main thing that I’m interested in would be a truck with a slide in truck bed camper that’s the main thing that I’m looking

At but actually one of the neighbors um who lives nearby the place that I’m housesitting right now he invited me over to his house today to show me his van and one it was really precious cuz he’s this like 83-year-old man and he was showing me his van and all of his

Camping supplies and it just made my day um but also seeing his van and like standing in the van I was like oh I I get the appeal of the van so I’m not completely opposed to a van but it’s it’s not my first choice that’s all I’ll say

Um remember to like the stream folks yeah what they said hi from New York o the city or the state um oh hard to come from Hawaii yeah I guess you can’t drive from Hawaii but actually now that you mentioned that the um my yoga teacher friend who’s helping

Me teach on this first Yoga Retreat Katie she’s looking to move to Hawaii she’s my friend who’s looking to move so I don’t know maybe there’ll be a Hawaii retreat in the future I don’t know don’t quote me on that but we’ll see um what are some National Park must

Stops on the way to the retreat so depends on which direction you’re coming to the retreat from but if you’re coming from the East Carl’s Bad and wh Sands National park absolutely although the retreat will be in June so try to go to wh Sands National park in the early

Morning or in the afternoon because it will be hot as in the middle of the day so um that’s my main advice uh I feel like Carl’s bad kind of gets skipped over a lot like people think that they don’t need to stop like it’s just a hole

Hole in the ground but Carl’s Bad is really really cool like it’s trippy to go down the elevator 700 feet underground and just see this cave structure it’s really cool um if you’re coming from the other direction there’s the petrified National Forest which is highly underrated but really really cool

Just don’t take any petrified wood because it’s cursed apparently um Saro national park that’s like my tried and true like favorite place on Earth because I went to school in Tucson so I love Saro National Park um there’s not a ton to like do well there’s lots of hiking to do in that

National Park but there’s not like big elaborate visitor centers like there is in the Grand Canyon per se you know like the Grand Canyon is very touristy and if the grand Canyon’s on your route go to the Grand Canyon too um let’s see what else is there Um I don’t know I’ll think on that and I’ll add that to the my map hello from Eagle Pass Texas losss of Texas interesting uh favorite music genre o I feel like that’s a hard one because I have I have like a wide variety of taste of music

So mainly if you go to my like Spotify day list it usually gives me like Mountain Music Indie where it’s like I don’t know like Noah con and Palace and I don’t know and then a whole other side of my music taste is yoga music like yoga like music that I listen to

While doing yoga and then a whole other side of my music taste is Spanish music so I actually studied Spanish in University and I love listening to Spanish music to like keep Spanish in my brain even though I don’t speak it very confidently um but whenever I’m in the

Gym I’m probably listening to regon and that’s a fun fact because I feel like people probably wouldn’t expect that about me o I don’t know how to say that National Park in North East Ohio I don’t know much about Ohio um but if I did drive through to go to the

Great Lakes I would stop there so I’m going to screenshot that so that I can add that to my list cuz I’ve never heard of that National Park also I had someone reach out to me asking if I’ve been to a shoot I forget the name but it’s a

National park that’s on an island in Lake Superior I did not know that existed and I need to go there immediately Maddie Taylor announced that she’s putting her van up for sale I didn’t know that okay I need to go watch her video um I love Maddie um yeah I

Love everyone in the van lifee community but yeah I know Sarah’s Sarah yak’s um van is still for sale on Facebook Marketplace so I don’t think she sold it yet either um but yeah if my plans for a truck and a truck camper don’t work out

Maybe maybe I could make that work I don’t know but yeah I saw Maddie Taylor’s videos um about renovating her van so I kind of figured that she was going to sell it and then she was hinting at going to Europe so that’s really cool I love that those are like

Two people that if I could meet people on the road I would love to meet them like Maddie Taylor Sarah Yak um Sunny Ray on Instagram the happy camper girl on Instagram I love all of them and I feel like we would be besties if we actually met in real life but we

Haven’t Um a the old man with the van love it when they’re cool and not Buffalo Bill yeah me too usually old men are my least favorite at like when I’m at Planet Fitness but out here in like small town New Mexico I’ve found that there’s some of my favorite people like

He has so much information just stored in his brain I’m like how do you still remember that you’re 83 like I forget what I did yesterday like I don’t know he’s really really cool um yes you should do my yoga video hey yeah Hawaii Retreat would be really

Cool I I feel conflicted about that cuz I have a YouTube video going out next week talking about my issue with yoga teachers and um my issue with like International Retreat centers and Hawaii is not International but there’s still like I don’t know there’s a lot of conflict I

Would I would have to find a way to do it like respectfully um but it would be a really cool place to do a yoga retreat I’m not going to lie um okay I’m gonna address this comment because I have a fun story so this comment reads you should be a counselor

On better help just a thought so one you have to have your master’s degree in Psychology in order to be a therapist on better help and I have thought about that I think being a virtual therapist would be a really cool option if maybe in the future but last January I for

Many different reasons I kind of hit a rock bottom and I was like crying and I was in alone in the Dominican Republic and so I was like I’m going to sign up for therapy on better help and I signed up for an appointment and I went to the

First appointment and I basically told this woman my entire life story and my whole like psycho anal psycho psychoanalysis of my whole life and at the end of the call she basically told me like why are you here like it sounds like you have your figured

Out I was like that’s that’s not what I expected my counselor to say so I don’t know I have better help is a really great platform and I think it makes counseling very like accessible for a lot of people but my experience with it was just kind of comical cuz they were

Basically like I don’t know what to do for you because seems like you got it figured out o will there be communal showers at The Retreat so yes um The Retreat will be hosted at an Airbnb so there’s two bedrooms that have their own private bathroom and then there’s a full B

Toilet sink shower for everyone to share in the main part of the house so it might be a little busy but yeah there’s access to a shower if you need it um and then there’s also access to laundry so there’s two different washing machines and dryers at The Retreat so you’ll be

Able to do your laundry which I think is a selling point for me being a uh van life person uh I’m always looking for a place to do laundry so yes to showers yes to laundry that’s open to everybody regardless of whether you’re camping or not um where are you from I’m from

Kingman Arizona if you know where that is if you know where that is let me know like what’s your association with Kingman Arizona I feel like it’s never good uh do you collect anything when you go to National Parks yes but not natural materials because that is illegal I

Collect stickers so in my car in the center console I have a whole Sticker Collection of everywhere that I’ve been but I’m too nervous to actually use the stickers like to commit to putting the stickers on something I feel like is very intimidating so it’s just a collection I haven’t stickered anything

With them but maybe once I get a proper rig then I would put my Sticker Collection up in my proper rig but yeah I collect stickers um I feel like there’s something else oh sometimes at National Parks they sell like little tokens they’re not the Pressed pennies they’re like

Little like silver tokens I don’t know they look different at every Park but I have one from wh Sands that was like a gift from my boss they gave us one and that’s what made me realize that those are a thing and so I also got one from the sawaro national

25 have you ever traveled up to Washington State yes my uncle lives up there so I went up there as a kid but I have not been there in my car um again what I said this earlier but yeah my birthday is January 31st do I have

And I mentioned that I do have a half brother and a half sister they’re 14 and 12 turning 15 and 13 this year so oh boy they’re both teenagers but yeah I am 10 and 12 years older than my siblings so yeah and they’re not my full siblings we have the same

Mom are animals free in National Parks I assume you mean are animals allowed in National Parks it depends on the national park so White Sands really cool love white sand Sands um they actually allow dogs so I know that a lot of other national parks don’t allow dogs just because of the

Like threat to the Natural Wildlife or whatever in such a protected area so I would say it depends on the national park and Google it before you go because I’ve known van lifers who have dogs that go to national parks and then their dog just has to stay in the van because dogs

Aren’t allowed or there’s some national parks where dogs are allowed on certain hikes but not others so yeah do your proper research before you go o putting stickers on a cooler is a good idea H that’s a good one I like that one I don’t really like my cooler right now

Like I have an Igloo cooler and I don’t like it enough to put stickers on it and commit to keeping it but if and when I get a cooler that I love I might might do that do you believe in aliens actually I was just talking to one of the people

Who signed up for my yoga retreat about this cuz she had an alien emoji in her name on Instagram so I was like New Mexico is the place for you girl um I didn’t used to but being in New Mexico now I do there’s been multiple

Different times where I look up in the sky at night and I’m like what the heck is that um still there’s probably some explanation for some of the things that I’ve seen like I’ve seen a starlink launch from the middle of the heala national forest which if you’ve never been to the hila

National Forest it’s one of the darkest places in Continental us so we could see that really really well and then there there have been other times where we see things that are just like moving around and then they disappear and I’m like what the heck was that so yeah

Didn’t used to but now I do hi you people are freaking weird No I just found out that they filmed a lot of I just found out that’s where they filmed a lot of Twilight where New Mexico I know they filmed Breaking Bad in New Mexico that’s that’s the main comment that I get when I bring up New

Mexico oh that’s another good idea as an artist I love to put stickers on my art box that’s really cute I wouldn’t consider myself a like stereotypical artist like I love making videos and that’s my favorite art form but I’m an amateur watercolor painter I probably haven’t done that in

The mind on yoga Academy which is I’m actually working on turning that into an app which has been a lot of stressful work um but that’s basically where I share all of my psychology knowledge and how it relates to yoga and the psychological benefits of yoga and teach

Yoga for mental health so those are my three main projects now but before YouTube became my job at the end of last year I Would Do seasonal work I would work as an online conversational English tutor I would work as a virtual assistant podcast editing I’ve done I’ve done all

Kinds of stuff to make it work o favorite Mexican food I mean obviously number one is tamali but you don’t make that very often um maybe a Chile Rano or burritos or tacos or I will eat any Mexican food I love Mexican food can you so show us your Chi-Chi

That’s a great way to get blocked thanks um how do you keep from getting screwed with I think I was thinking about doing this in the keys yeah don’t do this in the keys make sure you look up City order ordinances because a lot of cities including the keys

Ban camping in your car and make it illegal and you will get harassed for it so like I ran into that when I was in what is it Missoula Montana I think it was Missoula not Boseman but there are certain cities that you will get messed with because

It’s illegal to do it there so know the city and if you can go to national forests or yeah national forest or probably my favorite places to camp sometimes BLM land has Bureau of Land Management um sometimes those properties like they attract all the locals who

Party so I don’t I don’t know I go there but I don’t I don’t love them um but yeah also make window coverings for your car if you’re going to sleep in your car in a place that you shouldn’t so that people can’t just look in and see you sleeping there there cuz

Then they’re more likely to mess with you um so stealth stealth mode is key do you have a family member who really gets what you’re doing um I feel like so I moved out of my apartment in November of 2021 and at the time most of my family thought I was crazy they

Thought that I would just come back and and live a normal life within a year uh and now that it’s been over two years and they see what I’m doing on YouTube and they watch most of my YouTube videos so I think watching me grow on my YouTube channel has helped them

Understand better what I’m doing but I wouldn’t say that they still fully understand it like they’re not very techy like I don’t know they’re happy that I’m doing what I’m doing now but at the start they weren’t they weren’t very supportive like when I said that I was

Going to take my first car camping trip I said that I was going to be gone for a week and my grandma tried to insist on renting me a hotel and I was like no you don’t get it like the whole point is the adventure like I don’t want a hotel so
