12 essential FUERTEVENTURA TRAVEL tips

Hello my fell Creator my name is stancy in this video I’m sharing my 12 essential F Ventura travel tips I’ve been living in F Ventura for almost a year and a half and I’ve dedicated a lot of my time to exploring this incredible Island I’ve seen it in different seasons

I’ve traveled around the whole island I’ve been to Super touristy spots and to Wild and remote spots as well I’m making this video for my fellow explorers for those driven by the desire to see the world for those seeking a wild and remote Island Experience if you like hanging out on crowded

Beaches with a cocktail in your hand and showing off your new bikini or you prefer to stay in all inclusive hotels and book tours to explore the world for like two weeks in a year I’m hoping my videos will inspire you to try a different way of exploring the world a

Way that teaches us to switch from the mindset of a consumer to the mindset of the creator of our own reality okay so before we dive into the tips let me share with you a few interesting facts about fentura and its history there are eight conary islands

And F Ventura is the second largest after tenifa the population of the island is just around 123,000 people which means there are a lot of vast unpopulated areas it’s also the oldest conary island it emerged above water around 20 million years ago for ventur and larot are part of a

Single volcanic Ridge so they are connected lonaro was the second island to emerge around 15 million years ago the first settlers of florid Ventura I believ to come from the West Africa and they called mahos or mahos in the 15th century for ventur was colonized by the Spanish which was devastating for the

Muros and those who survived gradually merged with the Spanish the name for Ventura means two things strong wind and strong Fortune I definitely feel very fortunate to live here now f ventur is the least popular big Canary Island the number of visitors in 2022 was around 2

Million just to compare in tenera it was 5.8 million in Grand can 3.8 million and in lanar 2.7 million because it’s such an unpopular Island it’s misrepresented online and there are a lot of contradicting pieces of advice for travelers so a lot of people feel disappointed after they arrive to the

Island here comes my first tip reduce your expectations to zero if you expect it to be sunny and warm every day the island can give you cloudy and windy instead if you expect the ocean to be nice and calm the island can give you stormy and dangerous instead if you

Expect to have a an active holiday and see it all the island can give you sickness so you will have to have a passive holiday and stay in bed I do refer to the island as if it’s a living being because I believe it is I believe

It’s an ancient form of life and it always gives us what we need most in a moment if for some reason you feel called to come here take whatever island gives you without any expectations and you will have the best time of your life maybe you will learn some major life

Lessons or meet new friends or have your dreams come true or maybe all of it like it happened for me f Ventura has made a lot of my dreams come true my dream of living on an island my dream of being surrounded by like-minded people my

Dream of being alone on the beach and swimming in Natural Pools by myself they all came true I had no expectations I didn’t force anything and I was open to everything do your research before coming to F Ventura find a good variety of things to do on the island research

Some beaches and Natural Pools hiking trails experiences shops cafes bars restaurants and more whatever you want to do map everything out in Google maps that will help you to find the right place to find the accommodation in don’t strive to do it all or pack your trip so

Tightly that you would find yourself rushing from one place to the next do the research so you can enjoy and relax during your trip do the research to avoid tourist traps do the research to avoid frantically looking up another Cafe because the one you initially wanted is closed have lots of options

Make a priority list of of things you want to do on the island for me it would be Natural Pools because it’s not an everyday kind of experience I would plan my trip around exploring Natural Pools you can do the research on Tik Tok or Instagram by searching the location you

Could read some blogs or watch YouTube videos I have a lot of them don’t go hiking in the prohibited areas first of all it’s not allowed to climb the tinda mountain it’s also known as the sacred Mountain there are some ancient inscriptions that are being protected it’s believed that the mountain served

As an Open Temple for the local people to perform their rituals and observe the Stars some of them colon di the mountain of witches so if someone gets caught climbing that mountain they’ll have to pay an ugly fee or even get cursed second of all F Ventura has a lot of

Protected areas because of the bird’s nesting season a lot of hiking trails are closed from the 15th of February till 31st of July and many other hiking trails are disabled during this time which means that it’s not recommended to go there you should really keep keep to

The tourist path and you should be quiet if you choose to go high up because there are Egyptian Griffons nesting they’re big birds you wouldn’t want to mess with them oh may may one of such highly protected areas is vandela Arena where I’ve been in my previous video it

Was truly now a never moment because it was there on the last day when it was allowed I suggest you watch that video after you finish this one and third of all do not organize promote or participate in parties in volcano or barancos recently salmon organized an

Illegal party at the top of Volcan Calderon Hondo in lares this is like the most touristic volcano on the island and it’s heavily protected around a 100 people attended that event there were shooting Instagram stories there was drone flying around there were people with professional cameras taking videos

Of the whole thing it’s not okay the organizers are now threatened to pay a multiple thousand EUR fee the situation triggered a lot of hate from mahoras towards tourists is you can imagine the Canarian population is not happy about tourists driving the change of their Island while it is inevitable that the

Island is going to change even more get even more popular and attract even more people I believe it is possible to work towards attracting the right people to the island switch from the mindset of a tourist to the mindset of Explorer there are a lot of tourists in F Ventura and

Not enough explorers tourists come here with a consumeristic mindset they paid for their ticket they paid for their hotel they paid for their tour and now they need to get their money’s worth from this place to them this island is just a place with sun and beaches who

Cares what’s going to happen after they leave for explorers this is home because everywhere is home the Earth is home I received a bunch of messages from haters telling me to go home I am home if I was born on some chunk of land on Earth the

Political borders do not Define where my home is this is my home my body is my home so everywhere I go is home this is why I want to leave every place better than I found it try it for yourself too if you see some trash on a beach clean

It up another thing about the beaches here people really like creating coralito those circular stone structures and I get it it’s really nice to lay there protect it from the wind and your own little bubble but it turns a wild spot into a touristic one if you want

Get a shield in a shop and use that to protect yourself from the wind do not inscrip your name on rocks support businesses that you want to see more of and if someone thinks that it’s wrong for me to make videos about for Ventura or create a travel guide and sell it I

Disagree I don’t create content for tourists and I don’t promote my guide to everyone I create my content for explorers and travelers for people seeking a very specific type of experience wild and remote island experience and I only share my top secret wild and remote places with

People who really value it that’s why my travel guide is not cheap I don’t want that many people to buy it I’m not printing it out I’m not putting it in every tourist shop just to make as much money as I can that’s not the goal the

Goal is to answer questions that I receive on a daily basis where is this place where is that place what’s the best beach the best hiking trail the best cafe the best place to live in the best thing to explore while I do my best to answer all of those questions in my

Videos I understand that you can’t just sit and watch all of my videos that would be too much time so I compiled everything in an Interactive of 112 Pages you can check out what’s included the link is in the description in my videos I often say Follow Your Passion

Explore the world go of the beaten path figuratively go of the beaten path figuratively don’t actually go of the hiking trail in places where it’s not allowed like in the lobus island you can still enjoy the beauty of the nature in lobus without messing it up for others

Don’t come to for the Ventura in January or February unless you’re a surfer or a ker I get it you want want to escape the winter this is how I ended up on the island as well it’s much nicer here than in Europe in Winter for sure but if

You’re going to come in January or February you’re going to see F Ventura at its worst the waves are good though and there is a lot of wind that’s why Surfers and kers love it and that’s why you can hear so many people advising others to come to F vura in Winter

Because they’re doing sports these are the coldest months it’s cloudy it’s raining but the worst part is khima it’s the dust storm coming from the Sahara Desert it swallows the whole island and everything becomes gray dull and hazy the visibility gets low and the air quality gets hazardous khma comes a few

Times a year and sometimes it’s barely noticeable but other times it’s really really bad and in January it lasts for like a half of the month it’s so nice though when Kalma goes away because you can see the vibrancy of all the colors again how blue the sky is and how green

All the greenery is and on a good day like today I can see see the ocean and larot from my window which I love rent a car to explore the island the beauty of for Ventura is not in the touristic towns and Villages and the popular beaches it’s in the wild and remote

Locations that are difficult to reach the beaches near Coro def omor the most popular destinations on the island are filled with people sand beds and even beach bars the Wild and remote beaches are empty for ventur is one of the very few places that can still offer that EXP

Experience if you have a car it would be much easier to get to those spots and you could enjoy them for longer in theory the bus can take you from Coro to cofete but you would need to change like three buses and it would be really

Really slow with a car you can do that trip in 2 and 1/ half hours if you come here without a car you can still have an amazing time and enjoy the island but you will need to choose the right spot to stay in so that the places that you

Want to explore the most are easy to reach by foood or by bus be prepared for hot and cold weather F Ventura is the island of Eternal spring which means that the temperature changes quite a bit throughout the day while it’s colder in the morning and evening so that I have

To wear jeans and sharpa it’s really hot in the middle of the day when it’s sunny I’m in a bikini on a beach and since it’s an island the weather here changes quite quickly in summer the weather is more stable but I would still recommend

You to get like a jumper and jeans and there are some really nice clothing stores here as well where you can buy the workma clothes and bikini as well so no need to overpack when it comes to shoes forget about sandals or flipflops wear something comfortable like sneakers

Or Crocs in which you can go out or go hiking or climb down some Cliffs to access a beach stay in smaller towns and Villages something that I don’t understand is why people go from their busy towns and cities full of cafes shops people and restaurants to this

Tiny little unpopular wild and remote island and stay in a busy touristic City full of cafe shops restaurants and people if you’re like me coming here for a Wildland experience choose an accommodation that can offer you that find a place on Airbnb or booking that

Will make you as close to the nature as possible I have to admit that I came to the island to become a little bit of a Hermit I just needed that in my life I wanted to regain focus and I wanted to remove the distractions remove foro and

Unwanted social cause and the stress of living in a busy City here I was was able to focus on designing a better lifestyle for myself and being consistent with my YouTube channel if I chose to stay in Coro I wouldn’t have the same amazing Wildlife Experience I

Wouldn’t get what I wanted because there are too many people too many cafes bars restaurants distractions too much noise it’s just too much I love living in a small village there is like one Supermarket here and I go outside of the house and I’m in the nature this is

Healing me I was able to make such a big progress in my lifestyle and in my YouTube channel thanks to that so small villages and places in the middle of nowhere rule go to the beach in the middle of the day in the colder months of the year like from the middle of

October till April I recommend going to the beach for swimming in the middle of the day because it’s too cold in the morning or in the evening and it’s not ideal because the UV rays are the strongest but they’re not as strong as in the summer because they’re coming

From a different angle anyway always wear sunscreen it’s quite deceiving on a windy day at the beach because you don’t notice how hot your skin gets because of the cold air blowing in your face but when you get home a Red Lobster is going to look back at you from the mirror and

We don’t want that and if you’re doing water sports or you just don’t want to constantly reapply sunscreen you can use zinc this is artem’s surf stick from misura zinc can stay on your skin for up to 2 hours so you’ll be safe for the duration of your whole session and

Naturally it’s white but mura makes it colorful that’s why you can see a lot of surfers with green faces and blue faces and all other rainbow colors if you apply sunscreen and then jump in the water you can start crying because it’s washing away in your eyes this is really

Good for kids too especially if you buy different colors and do some face art with them be careful with the ocean currents they’re really strong here if the waves are big don’t go too deep in the water because the current can pull you in and you would be very lucky to

Catch a wave strong enough to deliver you back to the shore also the risk of hitting rocks is really big in 2021 I had a pretty scary situation in the ocean in Tarifa I was swimming and I couldn’t get back to the shore no matter

How hard I would try to paddle back I was just in the same place and I could feel my toes just barely touching the Sandy Bottom but I didn’t have any grip bigger waves started coming and crashing on my head and I was submerged in the

Water a few times I started crying for help arton couldn’t hear me because he was snorkeling nearby and he was submerged with his ears underwater luckily there was a body boarder that helped me to get back to the shore and I was very grateful for that meanwhile

Artam just swam out normally and he was like what did I miss what happened and I know many people who went through similar situations so it’s not a rare occurrence travel with a purpose if you have a purpose your travel experiences become more Mindful and you start interpreting your experiences through

The lens of that purpose and even challenging situations present themselves in a new light you start seeing them as opportunities to find strength and courage within and go through them to come out on the other side stronger and more capable of living your dream life my scary ocean situation

Was an opportunity for me to reflect on my life and see what I’m missing what I need to work on to live my dream island life I needed to work on my Foundation I needed something to grip onto with my feet I worked on that and that’s why I’m

Able to leave in fer Ventura now and right now I can’t really say that I’m leaving in F Ventura even though I consider it to be my home I would say I’m slowly traveling for mura very slowly and my purpose is to completely change my lifestyle and that’s

Impossible to do in an instant that’s why I think I’m still here because fentura provides the perfect environment for me to do that and I’ve already made a big progress I stopped drinking alcohol smoking pot I started moving my body more doing more yoga hiking I

Started being in the nature more I am less stressed now I hope this travel tip inspired you to reflect on your travel purpose and if you feel like sharing it feel free to do that in the comments down below if you want to be budget conscious in F Ventura remember that the

Best things in life are free doing a sunrise hike is free hanging out on the beach is free swimming in the Natural Pools is free meeting new people is free going for a walk is free exploring towns is free practicing yoga is free watching the sunset is free you don’t need that

Much money to live an abundant Island lifestyle let me know if you’re interested in watching a video where I break down my leing costs in Ventura I could track my expenses for a month and share with you how much I spend on rent Transportation food fun and stuff like

That now you’re welcome to watch this video with the best beach and the best volcano hike on the island in my opinion or you can watch this one and learn about 15 non-touristic things to do on the island I’ll see you in my next video peace

  2. Ok…the video production here is very well done. It's top notch and I hope it gets the recognition it deserves. And OMG! we have those rip-currents in Florida so just remember to swim parallel to the beach to escape the outflow. Then swim in. I swear that looks like Artem busking with the guitar!

  3. Thank you so much for your work and your beautfiul spirit! I was watching your videos before comming to fuerteventura. I was there in January with my Boyfriend. We had a lovely time exploring natural pools and climbing Vulcanos.
