[Laughter] Baby Baby Babyy Welcome welcome let me just put the volume down okay welcome everyone to ninja monkey Sunday stream this is a stream where I try to answer your Japan travel questions specifically and I wanted to say a big thank you to all of you who are here supporting me and um let’s get
Started basically hopefully everything’s working if there are any problems I’m sure that um I’ll be told pretty soon going to say hello check out the I’m going to try things a little bit differently today um try to manage all of those questions I found that last
Week there were so many and I appreciate it um there were so many that um I know that I missed quite a few out so yeah anyway thanks for being here hello from cold Sweden hey thanks from cold Sweden um hello from Sydney Puerto Rico buas
Noes buenos no I don’t know where what time it is over there Joan hey Manchester thanks for being here um Kazumi on board Japan is a playground of the world indeed it it it is good morning from New Zealand we have such an international crowd here I love it I
Love it and notice that it says happy Sunday or Monday because I am aware I am very very aware that people watch from all around so K ban from Sweden greetings from Ireland nice I didn’t know you were in Ireland wow 73 days left for my trip that’s like Round
The Corner dude um let’s see it became a playground because the central government didn’t invest in technology a hi there hi there ho there happy as can be there in Shinjuku 5:32 a.m. thank you so much for being here so early in the morning I have to say I’m going to talk
To you now about how the format of today’s stream is going to I’m going to try something see if it works and if it doesn’t we’ll go back to the normal way at least it’s not a vertical stream right good morning from Melbourne Australia awesome um and Shinjuku is my
Most hated train station you know what I sort of agree with you Shinjuku is a little bit of a of a struggle um but I I sort of love it in my own way also Japan Japan ban is also here thanks for the for The Mod Squad who are here doing
Their their their their job modern read from Bali flipping heck I don’t think I’ve ever had anyone from Bali that’s pretty good frog ladies in the house awesome Star Jen hey star Jen did you watch my latest video inspired partly by by you guys when I met up with
You Mark is here Mina Lori hey hey hey um flying fox watching from downand loads of people from downand but isn’t like super early downand right now it’s not my favorite station luckily my home station is the smaller station I’m not very sure it doesn’t seem like the um like the bot is
Working but I have no idea why I I sorted it out anyway happy Monday from Australia Norway Road evil is here also New Jersey Canada whoa my goodness and my myami Miami Miami awesome I don’t think the BS work but I can’t fix it whilst I’m on stream
Unfortunately and I did spend half an hour like editing the anyway it is what it is we’re going to have to try and and copy and paste information that we need um sorry about that guys I really don’t know why but um 7 days till your till
Your trip awesome um ninja monkey do you watch Japanese TV the morning drama this year is really cute about kasagi Shoku ooh sounds fun I just wish I had time to watch Japanese TV since October okay okay okay kich wife from the Netherlands the Tulip season is almost arrived here that must
Be so beautiful the Tulip season don’t forget to hit the like button yes please don’t forget I forgot my my my um I forgot my um iPad but please hit the like button indeed okaki let’s go I’m going to sneeze ah am I going to sneeze anyway so let me um quickly
Quickly Qui quickly explain the format today and I’m going to try something a little bit different I figured something out and that is that I can create a question and answer so ask me your questions um so I hope this works let me know if this
Works so I’ve asked a a Q&A questions and what will happen now now is you can specifically ask the questions there in the Q&A if you can see it in the chat and when I choose a question um it will be pinned to the to the chat so the question will be pinned
To the chat and hopefully will mean that all the chat can remain in one place and all the questions can remain in the questions so um yeah basically ask me any questions on on that um special questions page and I will see if it works so for example let’s try Japan japanes Japan
Says do you have a second Channel hopefully I’ve selected it do you have a second Channel and has it appeared has it been pinned to the chat I don’t know how if it’s working or not um is it working guys but I have a second channel it’s called the happyin
Please check it out um I’ll be streaming from Japan very soon in the next few weeks I’ll be streaming daily from Japan so it’s definitely worth checking that one out to keep up to date with all the adventures that I go on and the people that I meet along the
Way what’s the best way to travel from Central to um maybe I have to do it here questions I have to do it here I think um select question okay here we go now we’re figured it out okay okay so what’s the best way to travel from
Central Kyoto to kibun River for trying nagashi somen and enjoying kawadoko dining at hirobun and do you think it’s worthwhile experience it sounds like a worthwhile experience it’s not something that I’ve specifically experienced myself I got to be completely honest um I can answer 70% of of the questions out
There um my recommendation is to see using Google Maps you know I I don’t have Google maps in my brain but um what I would do I’ll tell you what I would do if I wanted to answer that question is I would find um I would research on Google Maps
And see how to do it to be honest and maybe go onto some websites I’m sorry about that let’s see um another question here which is have the Sakura already started to bloom in Tokyo um yes in a way they have in another way they haven’t um there are
I read somewhere there some people say there’s like 200 species of Sakura um so I don’t think I’m not very sure I mean I don’t know if people are just exaggerating but there’s certainly a lot of different varieties variations of of Sakura and um yes some of those early
Bloomings sakuda that bloom in in February usually they come from the region of shizuoka um like um that region they bloom usually mid February to the end of February around maybe around now this time so definitely there have been some early blooming Sakura the the main variety of of um of
Sakura which is a variety that basically brings makes makes it feel like Sakura season that variety hasn’t started blooming yet um as far as I’m aware and there’s been a sick forecast when it comes to to um to that zakura and that’s the six forast puts it in
Tokyo for the 22nd the start of the bloom basically the first few buds appearing and the full bloom at the 29th of March um just to put into context last year by this time last year the six forecast the the Japanese um metrop Metro metrological um agency had it down
To around an accuracy of around two days so um so I’m going to take that that has a pretty close sort of um forecast by this point maybe two or three days um away on either side but um roughly around the 22nd two or 3 days on either side is
When the the Sakura will probably start blooming and I think there’s a very specific um very specific like like rule there has to be three like buds on a very specific tree to to um make it count as if as first Bloom and then the full bloom Peak viewing will be two or
Three days on either side depending of the 29th of um of March this month crazy this month already absolutely mad okay guys remember that this um question um feed I’m not very sure if it’s working out very well there’s a lot of people not there I don’t know if
People don’t have access to it maybe let me see what the chat the live chat has to say perhaps you know what I’m just going to carry on with a live chat for now because I’ve got a feeling that some people are don’t have access to it so
I’m going to close the questions and go back to the way that we we’ve always done it I just wanted to to to try it um but yeah I’ll go back to the original way banana fans thank you so much frog lady for your donation help me out I
Have a banana here already ready at the defrost but um now on on this computer I can do a frog and do a lady thanks so much frog lady for your support okay I’m going to go and and I’m going to be a little bit selective when
It comes to questions going to try and choose questions first see that I can answer um if I can’t answer them then I will put it to the chat to answer but I’m going to try and be quite quickly and I’m not going to go through any any hellos specifically unless you’re a
Member or a patron then I’ll definitely um shout you out right okay where were we yeah I think the other the other system is too complicated okay questions questions you can better if you at ninja monkey guy um on the question then I will definitely be able to to see it you
Know I remember your Japanese game show streams on here were hilarious they were fun um I just don’t think it’s going to work on on a Sunday stream but maybe on on the Wednesday stream where it’s a little bit more chill yeah okay thank you Japan japanes Jaan for
Highlighting the Happy guun by the way I wanted to highlight also two very important things please it’s incredibly important that I say this number one please listen I have a friend who is a Japan um Japan content creator 2 who I’ve met various times hanged out with
On many OCC occasions has been in my videos I’ve been on his videos and he’s um currently fighting um um lung cancer um his name is Tokyo Drew on on YouTube and um I just wanted to to point this out as a community if you do want to
Support and help one of my friends if you do want to support and help out somebody who is in need financially and also obviously emotionally then um please check out Tokyo Drew um and also on my Community page on my channel I have a link a direct link to um to to
Supporting him financially if that’s something that you wish to do just um let letting you know um his fight we can you know if we can support each other this is what the community is all about all right and let’s carry on there you go thanks Japan Japan
Jaan okay just going through through um questions any questions put a q in front put a at me no no specific questions it’s nice also to have like lots of people just chatting generally but it’s supposed to be a Q&A um currently not too many questions early blooming variety were
Blooming inama as of yesterday nice awesome hi from Belgium nice what would you do at the airport and would you use a taxi to Sunshine city um actually I’ve I’ve actually put a video already together about how to travel from Heda to different areas in
Um Tokyo check that video out cuz it has a very very very in-depth information um about how to get to all sorts of places in in Tokyo um in terms of ikuro you could get the the probably get the limousine bus as one option I’m not very
Sure where where they would stop it will be on my video um but I know that I’m going to be staying in nuro um in three weeks time actually not in sunshine City But Sunshine city is in nuro and I can tell you that from haneda
My plan is to get the the uh monor rail sorry my plan is probably to get yeah the mono Rail and change onto the yamano line to get to ikuro um or the train to to um the train and then change so yeah would you get WiFi and S at 11 p.m.
Um I’m not very sure I think Thea I think Thea are vending machines so you should be fine the welcome sua anyway um if you want to get the full on proper sua you’d have to do that from some of the main stations I’ve covered that
Before in many many videos um and those would would not be available at 11:00 p.m. in terms of Wii personally one of the things that I’ve been suggesting to a lot of people recently is for it to be sent to your first hotel that will um be
There waiting for you when you arrive rather than having to queue up and find the the desk for the Wi-Fi Etc after a long flight is there a way to avoid fomo in Tokyo kind of worried that I miss some good food or places there um no the
Answer really is there is no way to avoid fomo in Tokyo the best thing that you can do is start making a list of the things that you miss out and start planning your next trip even whilst you’re there um I have not I’m not very well versed um
Toada in in um Japanese novels but um thank you for your recommendations if you at ninja monkey guy I it will highlight for me and I’m going to go for those questions thank you so much for linking um Drew’s donation page there apart from um his donation page you can actually go onto
His his YouTube channel and and support him by sending a message you can say ninja monkey mentioned you and um mentioned him why are most attractions in Japan Clos early it’s so difficult to plan our itinerary to fit all things in the first half of the day um yeah I mean this is
One of the things that if you’ve watched some of my mistakes and videos one of my series I’ve got three or four of them out now I just actually put one out that’s one of the mistakes that I do mention and that is the fact or one of
The things that I hate perhaps is the fact that a lot of attraction temples sh not shrines but temples specifically might close early usually about 5ish 4ish I mean I got my own stories about um missing out for example I went to that giant um statue in
Sendai it closed at 300 p.m. guys I mean I was com you know I was quite certain that by getting there at quarter to 4 I’d be fine but no no no it was closed thankfully it’s the kind of place that it was so beautiful from the outside
That it didn’t really matter too much but um yeah when it comes to things closing closing early it’s the way that Japan is it’s a the Land of the Rising Sun it’s very early the sun rises very early it’s not why it’s called that but um the sun rises very early generally
It’s a bit annoying you need to plan around those things um and and try your best it’s difficult to fit everything into into the first half of the day not everything closes super early though I have to say um sometimes when it comes to museums it might close
Early sometimes when it comes to specific temples it might close early um that is slowly changing though I’ll give you an example of where it’s changing for example in Hiroshima as from the summer I think as from June they will be um opening extended hours for tickets that are purchased online which is
Pretty cool I think it’s them trying to push people onto purchasing tickets online and also offering extended hours and hopefully something that sort of like follows follows on around Japan hey thank you so much I’ve got a a donation here aleris 15 days for your trip to
Japan that’s very very soon let me just add your name to the list um aleris thank you so much Alis go the M thanks so much like I said if you at ninja monkey guy um you will see I will it will pop up for me and I will be able to
Very easily see the questions um basically so for example Stephen you’ve put a question but you’re a member so so I I will read you question let’s see um I will be I will be flying into Osaka arriving at 7:00 p.m. would you recommend to get transport into the City
And finding my hotel or stay at a hotel at the airport and then Venture into the city after a good sleep I would recommend going straight into the city I’ve flown into Osaka airport um before and to be honest there’s no no real difference between traveling in terms of
Tiredness in terms of um like like commuting into the city it’s you better off just getting it over and done finding your base not I I would I P I think it’s it’s a thing of preference really but I the way that I see it is that if you’re going to be um
You know like checking into a hotel in at Osaka or near Osaka airport um you’d have to check out and then you’d have to check in the following day which for me is just wasted time so and sleep there’s no need for no need to sleep when you’re traveling in Japan
I had a great weekend thank you um thank you so much for bringing attention to Drew much love and support to me him as well yeah totally 100% man and I’ll mention it a little bit later um also because it’s important I really I really do want to send a lot of love
His way and I know that he feels it he’s got a great Community he’s very lucky to have an amazing community so thanks for the effort on helping us have a great trip to Japan we’re leaving in 66 days 66 days is nothing before you
Know it thank you so much um Ren doin Ren doin Ren doen I hope I get it rights and also we have um traveling Gabriel let me just write your name traveling um Gabriel oh I wrote it wrong traveling Gabriel what kind of tip can you give for not getting Los inuk
Station but still shop there I think that’s a that is a brilliant question um because the answer is a diff difficult one mainly because I said it in my latest video and that is that I think that getting lost in chinuku station is a right of passage everyone’s got lost in chinuku station
Everyone’s come out at some some exit they didn’t want to get out of I think um I guess that when it comes to um to not getting lost in Shinu station but still shopping there um just still stopping there shopping there right shopping I will just go with a shopping
And not worry too much about the exit if your priority is to shop or to explore the station then shop explore the station and then um and then head out wherever you head out and use Google Maps to find your way wherever you may be um rather than being stressed if your
If your if your um final destination doesn’t really matter then it doesn’t really matter if you get lost in chinuku station let me know how that goes but thanks thank you so much for the for the donation let’s see by the way I have um some
Memberships I’m going to be um I’m going to be gifting some memberships in about 15 minutes time guys so make sure that you subscribed so I can give some of those memberships thank you Nathan for your last video reminder of what not to do well that last video actually Mo um it
Was an interesting one because I H to see they you know like were they really mistakes they’re just little little things that I that I’ve picked up on during my 10 years of traveling 20 plus um travels um to Japan and some of them are very very insignificant to be honest
You know like ordering a giant okonomiyaki isn’t really a mistake it’s just a it’s a good mistake right okonomiyaki is so so delicious but I’ve just realized after traveling traveling to Japan so many times there are tiny little things that I’ve noticed um and me myself I’ve ordered okonomiyaki
Especially in that okonomiyaki Park in um in Hiroshima where the sizes are so freaking big that and and as a Solo Traveler specifically you’ve got the guy cooking cooking the okonomiyaki for you in front of you and then he gives you this okonomiyaki and you’ve already had
Some guza before probably and a beer and um and you are on your own and you feel this pressure to have to finish it because you don’t want to be rud rude and not finish it right so so um thank you so much it’s it is it’s just um some
Of the things that I’ve picked up along the way myself some of them are more obvious than others I would say um first Journey Begins tomorrow awesome don’t forget guys to join the Discord because for example already today two people um met up in chinuku for some
Drinks um just through the Discord which is pretty cool I love that fact that that part of the community is so cool okay I’m planning a trip with three others and I’ve had a hard time looking for hotels any tips for traveling with a bigger group I mean is it just four of
You if this is four of you I wouldn’t consider that a very big group to be honest I’m going to be traveling in the summer for some sum of my trip I’m going to be traveling and there’s going to be one two three four adults and two children
For for a little bit of time and um and you know what I think when it comes to that you need to you need to decide whether or not you have to absolutely stay in the same hotel number one um you’d find that sometimes there are many hotels that are
Very close to each other like one or two minutes walk um and sometimes you might have to do that we I haven’t had to do that thankfully second of all you know what is your criteria for hotels um when it came to my friends and their kids they managed to find some
Hotels even some Apper hotels that had that had connecting rooms um using a websites like um booking.com using the filters to specifically find what you’re looking for and will really really help so I I I understand that when you’re traveling with a bigger group it will definitely affect the selection of
Hotels but using those filters and I’ve got a video about that will really unlock where you you know where you can stay there are two other options that you might want to consider if you’re traveling with a bigger group number one is staying in traditional um accommodation rokan and usually rokan
Rooms have lots have um a variety of different amounts of photons that you can stay um with so I for example I’m going to be staying in a few rans during this my summer I spent all day today booking my hotels I’m going to be staying in 15 15 or 14
Hotels over the summer um across Japan and um and it took me pretty much the whole day whole day to to research and and and check it out and um some of those rooms I’m staying in are rians and they can fit up to eight people you know
Because there are eight futons um so that’s also an option a second option and I know that Japan Japan ban in the chat might be able to highlight a little bit more that’s Airbnb I know that he does that with his family um so there are there are lots of
Options guys don’t forget to do at@ ninja monkey guy if you want to ask me a question I’ll be answering those first other um streer cards again now in Japan where’s the best place to get one can we use the app still on the phone yes
Please use the app on the phone don’t bother with a card if you got an iPhone and you can set it up with the with the card just don’t bother with with the with the um with getting a card you can get sweer cards first of all you can get
Welcome suer cards those have always been around um and if you want to get the actual physical proper proper suer which to be honest you don’t need to get that specific card if you’re going to be traveling to Japan for longer than you know for shorter than 28 days and then
You can do that in the major stations at a Jr travel counter which is where you exchange your Jr um pass voucher not at the normal counter do not go to the ticket counter and ask for for AA they’ll say they don’t have you have to go to the travel counter specifically
Where the Jr pass is exchanged but I don’t think there’s any need really okay um there was a question here before that I missed are there any Sakura trees inable to unfortunately there are no sakuda trees inable I wish there were but there are none um Jennifer as far as I’m aware
There are no changes the biggest change happened last month when all of the QR codes they used to be three now they have been unified into one one QR code so you just fill out everything exactly the same but you just get one QR code
Which in theory is a one QR code that will um unlock the new system to enter Japan with those modern like all-in-one um like counters which I don’t know if they’re even up and running yet but hello by the way Jennifer thank you for being here and thanks for being a patron
Um traveling Gabriel is here let’s see any more questions okay question Jara says ninjam mon going to Japan in two weeks do you think it will be easy to find a s card upon arrival at Narita Airport I know there was a shortage for a while it will
Be impossible to for you to find a Sher card at Narita Airport since sria cards are not available at Narita Airport but you’ll be able to get the passo passport which is the like the 28 Day pasmo card don’t forget that a Paso a sua I’ve got
A few of them down here people fallen but a pasmo there we go a pasmo um acts exactly the same as AA it’s pretty much the same thing one of them is by Jr the other one is by Metro um um Tokyo Metro basically and they they are
Interchangeable they can be used the same way across anywhere where IC cards are accepted so um if you do have an iPhone I do recommend that you use an iPhone to be honest oh yeah I thanks for the reminder Jim Ross is also watching the walks that
Japan Japanese Jaan posts on YouTube and Facebook yeah guys check out um Japan Japan ban he’s been putting a lot of effort into some really really cool really chill like um walks around Japan so if you want to like um put something out on the background whilst you’re doing the
Dishes or I you just want to chill and have the sounds of Japan and have the the view of Japan check out his channel And subscribe best late night food in in Shinjuku I’m a big fan of um of of um Tien baby which which dying go took me to which is
Basically a uh like a uh Hiroshima style economaki chain love it put up your QR code for Sakura MBA than yeah I will okay okay so guys if you are interested in um in getting some pocket Wi-Fi I do have an affiliate link um which is there all the information
Can be found on my website www. ninjas sad.com org.com sorry.com ninjas sad.com or ninjam monkey. org um thank you and if you are also interested in getting yourself some tickets from cluke there’s an affiliate link basically you know all those tickets that you’re probably going to purchase anyway you know cuz you’re
Going to need some tickets to Observation decks or some tickets to some some kind of Attraction um you can use cluke they’re reputable they’re a good company and I get a little slice of whatever you you book um and you help the channel out so there
Bonus okay let me carry on with the with the questions don’t forget to at ninja monkey guy to ask a question I think it’s time for the cope and shortly I’ll be giving away some memberships o Cai any more questions remember to at me and I will what is my favorite barbecue place
Um in Tokyo on a budget I think I would say let me think see if I can find the the link I mean t tokuoka which is toi torikizoku let’s see tokoku it’s a it’s it is a grilled place it’s it’s very cheap it’s very easy it’s
Very English and friendly and I know that D I know that um Japan Japan itan is also a fan after I introduced him to it right do I have your your seal of approval approval F flame flame Fox thanks for the for the help there
Um okay have I been to Amano hashid and en Bay two great spots in no um Kyoto visited in 2019 yes Gumi I actually have a video um that I put out maybe two or three months ago specifically about those two places so check out my take on
Those two places I loved it I had a great time there it was so beautiful I loved making that video um huge help in the planning of my trip that starts tomorrow I already have tickets for team loves borderless and other tractions awesome great let me know how it all
Goes by the way um yeah let’s see any more questions s sleep when you get home indeed any um advice or information about going to Sendai yes um Pizza Dan I actually have a video on a a Sendai guide that I put together it includes um observation decks it it includes some
Foods that I had there is a little bit more like a vlog more like what I got up to in in a day or two in in Sendai please check it out um a lot of people ask questions I I find that that you don’t that you are not going back into
My catalog of um of content but I do have I’ve traveled to nearly every single preure in in Japan and I’ve made a video for nearly every single prefecture in Japan or a lot of them I will be finishing Japan’s prefectures this summer actually um sandai and to
Hoku I traveled last summer and um I’ve covered quite a few of those um areas in in guides and videos and I still have a few more I’m going to be putting be putting together a pretty cool video about some of the festivals that I went to last summer I’m just waiting for
After sakuda to to put out like a sum a summer guide you know oh Shibuya sky has already sold out every evening the whole week um is it worth yeah it’s worth going any other time and also the the Petro the Metro Government building has the new the new new um lights display
Which would be pretty cool to go at night I think hey thank you so much Sergeant grumpy I love your name by the way Sergeant grumpy um there you go let me just um M thank you so much for your support thank you so much for your help and your
Super chat it means a lot basically means that I can continue making more content like this and I can travel to Japan I can get more footage to make more content to make more guides um and hopefully make guides that you guys have been asking about so hey from Boston
Nice what things food spots in eneno can you recommend yeah I love eneno everyone knows this and when it comes to ueno I think there’s plenty of Street fuity stuffff plenty of just I think there is no such thing as a bad place to to to
Check out in when or just walk under the rail The Rail Road of the Amo line um and you’ll see lots of places find something that that looks interesting and don’t be scared to go in um I plan to go there for a day because there is a popup shop I want to
Visit but aside from that I got no plans on what to do there so yeah check out my video please please check out um search for sandai Ninja monkey guy and you’ll see uh a video and there’s a few interesting things just choose the thing that find that you find the most
Interesting I think the the um the covered arcades in tendai are very interesting also any more questions remember at ninja monkey guy do I recommend a Sim or a pocket Wi-Fi is a reception good outside the cities reception is generally pretty good actually I would say that reception can get a little bit
Harder within the city especially in crowded places um and sometimes you know like those tall buildings can can have an effect on reception however um I recommend whatever works for you e if you’re going if you’re okay topping up and when you use your your data um ECM
Is very convenient because you don’t you don’t have to carry anything around but with an eim it might be difficult to share your connection with somebody else and you might be limited in the amount of data that you have before you have to top it up a Wi-Fi usually has much more
Data um availability can be shared with others and but you do need to carry it so it’s just it’s just juggle and find out what works best for you you still get lost there I know right what is my translation on what is my recommendation on translation apps I
Would say modern breed use whatever is the most user friendly to you I know I use um pocket I use um Google translate I know that Google translate isn’t the best one out there but for me it’s the easiest one to use hands down so if it
Means me taking a photo and getting a translation with ease rather than having to Fumble through menus and figure out what I’m doing um then that’s the one I’m going to go for how do you do any charity work in Japan like in Noto or with homeless
People would you do any charity work um yes potentially I would do charity work I mean I have I have um in the past um you know like recommended Charities and stuff like that when there’s been disasters but yeah I would a good Nugget hotel I mean to be H
Honest APPA hotels are pretty pretty good any hidden gems for street photography in Tokyo yeah I mean to be honest Tokyo is such a massive City there’s so much to do so much to see you could literally go off the beaten path away from the the main spots and find
Incredible you know if you haven’t mean to to Tokyo when you go to Tokyo see what what I mean every corner is a is a chance for photography I mean if you want to go off off off the beaten path you might want to check out some more of
The local sort of um areas for example I put a video out on less visited Tokyo um places with with street food Etc check out that video you might want to head out out to some of those locations to to get a slice of Life slice of local Tokyo
Life you know little bit different a good Budget Hotel hey thanks for being here how do you book that ran in gangen oh the ran you know what LO people have asked me that it’s a little bit difficult the the one in aaga right I’m guessing that real has to be booked over
The phone at the moment and I keep on telling my friend who organized a trip for me that people keep on asking me about this I’ll I’ll I will mention it to them again all right 75 watching and only 28 likes what seriously how many likes do we
Have 36 likes 75 people watching and 36 likes what guys come on remember to at ninja monkey Guy and um and I’ll see it will pop up for me um so yeah hey thank you so much Dave for real thanks again for all you do you’re very welcome I I really like helping
People and I like um I like doing what I do you know I enjoy putting the videos together and exploring and researching and learning and every video that I put together it’s really it’s like a a study exercise if you know what I mean I do a lot of
Research I make sure that everything’s correct and that’s sort of a style of study um Dave for real thank you so much all of these um donations help the channel out so I think much appreciated remember at ninjam Monkey guy if you have any questions um and I
Think I’m just going to start giving those um gift memberships which I have prepared here I should wait a minute am I going to be able to do it I need to freaking connect to a to a VPN it’s ridiculous to do this all right let’s try again there we go okay membership
Gifting you have 10 memberships left to gift this gift five now T I have gifted five memberships who has got the five memberships does it tell me who has got it ooh only one nights Dragon Tales Nick has got it Adan has got it and Carl awesome thank
You awesome I have another five to give out in the next stream so um pretty pretty cool remember at ninja monkey guy I found it easy to get around have pass on my iPhone and S cat on my Apple watch really interesting I’m not very sure what the
US dollar to yen exchange rate because I operate with pounds so um hey I love your q&as is it realistic to do a day trip to hakon by ourselves or should we rather book a clo tour um I’ve done it on my own and I’ve also
Done it on a tour I’ve done it both ways in in fact when I did hakone I did hakone and I also did um um um a hotring and mount Fuji’s fifth station I think it was all in one day I believe it was
All in one day it was quite was quite a long day but that was done via a two it was actually with cl back in the day before I had an affiliate with them um they both work very well um to be honest the best way to do hakon if you can is
Stay the night and not have to rush you know and actually you know take your time but um if you want to go on your own you can if you want to if you want to have somebody sort it out for you and somebody you know sort out the travel and and take
You around then definitely get a get a a clo tour let’s see remember at ninja monkey guy to get yourself noticed for access to eneno I think the best hotels are ateno to be honest asakusabashi is not to be honest is not a great place to stay please don’t stay in
Asakusabashi it’s just too many stops too many changes to get anywhere as a tourist anyway um there you go 150 Yen to the dollar crazy wow I don’t have any special um pocket wifi offers unfortunately just uh a link that can that can help the channel
Out hey dude awesome I’m seeing a lot of Chinese tourists in Lisbon I wanted to ask them why they do not return to Japan ask them and let me know thanks for being an 18month member by the way awesome I try I um fill out my Japan travel
Information the moment that I have my first hotel that’s you need your flight and you need your first hotel once you have your flight in your first hotel you can fill it up basically so what other things are to do well you go in and Sakura season wo is a great um
Sakura spot because of the you know the park is one of the best places actually in in in Tokyo and when it comes to food like I mentioned there’s so many that you can really just get lost and and find something that looks interesting
Things to do in in weno um walk a lot of walking but there’s a zoo there’s the park there’s um lots of um museums there’s that sort art galleries Etc around the area um and the thing that I like about weno and I’m not going to be
Saying in weno actually um for a while now um this spring I won’t be staying in weno and during the summer I won’t be staying in weno at all so I’m giving weno a little bit of a break to explore some other areas um but um yeah one of
The things I love about weno is walking walking from weno to to akiabara for example or walking from oeno to asakasa for example great walks very interesting walks that’s right um how much would I recommend to be honest I never put more than two or
3,000 at a time just because it’s one of those things that you never know especially if it’s a physical card if it’s a phys physical card you could lose it if it’s a phone I know that you could still lose your phone but it’s going to be easy to not lose your
Phone hi Na and thanks Nathan if you press my name guys it will take you to my channel to subscribe but make sure to come back here yeah just press and come back Jesse awesome I’m going to be in Japan around that time hopefully God willing any more questions please let me
Know Q um or Q or @ ninj guy 100% seal of approval I went there with with um Japan japanes Japan and his wife and it’s it was good wasn’t it it’s always good so easy lots of questions so I’m going to see if anybody’s highlight um throughout your travels in Japan
Which do you prefer Japan’s northern hemisphere or Southern and why it’s very difficult because people ask me this and I always say that I love the North and the South um I’ve sort of last summer I traveled around tohoku and I’ve been to Hokkaido in the past and I fell in love
With specific um things in tohoku specifically the summer festivals which were incredible some of the people that um welcomed me in moroka for example in Al Mori um was i’ I’ve never had such such warm welcoming um such a warm welcoming experience to the point that I
Could you know I think had I missed the train I think somebody would have had me stay over in in the in at their place because they wanted me to carry on drinking they wanted me to carry you know carry on partying I joined into
Some dances and I went to uh like one of these Street bars in the Matsui and I asked for a beer they said that they didn’t have beer and I said oh I I only want to drink beer and then like they went they bought a beer they brought it
Back to me they gave it to me and they didn’t charge me for it you know so in terms of that then I’m going to be U I’ve done some of kushu but I’ll be going back to kushu later on in the summer so I’ll be able to answer that
Question a little bit better in in a few months time oo that’s a very very um interesting tip there um have I used memorise I have used memorise before before you know what guys I’m going to be totally honest um when it comes to Japanese learning I don’t have time running this channel
Takes up so much of my time um that I don’t have time for for other things like learning Japanese I do play pimsler in the morning once I’m getting ready over breakfast for example or when I’m driving um and then a lot of the practice that I do while I’m in Japan um
But I have heard of that that app before um I’ve got a wise card I’ve never used it I’m going to be using in Japan for the first time but I’ve used revolute a lot so revolute I’ve never had a problem with any questions I’m just going for questions guys
Um yeah Google translate camera Works relatively well from Tokyo to Kyoto um 2 and a half hours roughly especially now without the without the Jr pass you can get those nazami trains with the L stops thank you star Jen for all the extra comments I can tell that the the time
Zone is different to your normal time zone I can tell I gave you one I know any cultural holidays occurring late June you know I came across a very interesting um map of of um of festivals on cluk actually so that might help you out I have not done the routs the fery
Rout but I’ve been to fukoka and I’ve been to Korea I think you’re going on your own yeah I mean I’ve done a video before about hakon it’s a little bit like a cinematic sort of video check it out um I did that over one day trip I did leave
Very early in the morning to get to Heron nice and early um what I did find is that that it is very crowded make sure that you don’t go over um a weekend or a public holiday that’s the only thing I’m going to say if you go midweek
You’re going to be you’re going to potentially be okay if you go on a weekend on a public holiday then don’t bother going is what I’m going to say it’s just going to be really really difficult to get around Kazumi you’re very welcome is it time yay awesome
Um I’ve been hearing that VI Japan web isn’t much faster than the paper forms when it comes to immigration cues in hanada um that can be true but it can also not be true it all depends for example if you do make a mistake on that
Paper um then it won’t be long because you’d have to refill it also the fact that you have to fill it up on the on the on the um on you know when you get to Japan or on the airplane um could result in errors um basically it does save you
Time because you’re doing you’re basically filling everything up before you even leave the country and um and also the QR code is faster definitely faster than having the the um Customs officer or the immigration officer checking the form and potentially inputting the information in terms of queuing up is
Probably not faster in terms of going through when you actually stop at the kiosk it probably will be faster if that makes any sense is Japan easily wheelchair accessible that’s a really good question it’s one that I’ve been asked before it’s one that I’ve been like looking at
Carefully and I think that generally Japan is probably um quite wheelchair accessible obviously wheelchair users will have to do a little bit of that extra research specifically around stations but um I’ve seen quite a few um wheelchair users on the trains Etc um let’s see where are
We do I recommend getting them from cluke or directly from the back Universal Studios Disney C and Disney um you know what I would do I would just shop around and see what the best option is for you um surprisingly I found that CL sometimes is cheaper than even the
Official pages but shop around um and like I said when it comes to my affiliate links they are to support me but they don’t have to be used if you find a better offer somewhere else please go and find the better off offer and spend the money um the the savings
On something that you want to purchase in Japan but sometimes the prices are exactly the same and sometimes they are um cheaper surprisingly do I use a VPN service oh wait a minute I need to plug in my my hold on guys I’ll be back in a moment
Let me just um put this because I I can’t believe I haven’t plugged my my my laptop it’s going to run out of steam My Moment for okay I’m back I’m back I’m back is this PL is this charging H my laptop’s about to run out of battery but I’m
Back do I use a VPN um service on my phone in Japan I’ve had problems getting on Facebook and More in several countries I don’t use a VPN service um when I’m in Japan unless I am doing something very specific like um checking my bank or checking something that’s
Very very sensitive but I’ve never had any problems getting getting to any website for example you think my connection is is booked what hey hey why isn’t this plag working all right just throw me around I actually think that Japan is more accessible than some other countries generally from what
I’ve seen Japan is more accessible than some other countries um will it be fully accessible I don’t know okay thank you Japan japanes I just read your message uh oh my goodness your partner is 62 with tattoos if we rent private tour we will be okay yeah I don’t see why you’d
Have any problems I think the most important thing guys when it comes to Japan and traveling around Japan is transparency you know asking those questions if you’re going to go to if you’re going to book a hotel and you’re not sure just say hey you know like uh
If you’re going to stay at an Onsen just say I have to chose is it okay or or do you have a private onen Etc hey please don’t forget to like 79 people watching 51 likes hello remember to ask questions at ninja monkey guy I’m going quickly skimming through any
Questions oh Clan I would say that um don’t over overpack pack one hoodie maybe two maximum but one hoodie is probably fine depends how long you’re going for and if you need to buy another one you can bring another one back as a souvenir you you know um any more
Questions do you need to fill out any special formuls for medication depends on the medication all the information is found on the Japanese Ministry of Health um website regarding that there’s also some really good guides from from um japang guide.com regarding medication usually most most like um prescription medications you can take up
To one month’s Supply I believe as long as they’re in the original packaging but there are some very spec specific medications with some very specific um ingredients that you would need permission to to um to import into the country obviously I’m not a phace I’m not pharmacist so it’s difficult for me
To know exactly what they are is the Zen Garden train worth it from Osaka to kyot it sounds I’ve never done it but it sounds like it’s worth it five weeks left till I go how long now till I go I will be there in about 3
Weeks and a little bit so not too long Roman train yeah Shinjuku to to um hakone I’ve done it before it’s it’s nice do you do you own a Japanese um hanle stamp I do not that I don’t see it that I would ever need one unless I live there in Japan
Specifically unfortunately I’ve seen a lot of shops and restaurants on the third floor of buildings with no elevator yeah I mean the whole um you know accessibility thing think of it in in your country I mean I know my country isn’t is accessible but there’s still going unfortunately a lot of things that
Are not accessible were exactly the same thing in Japan basically but from what I’ve seen I’ve seen a lot of people in wheelchairs and I’ve seen a lot of people using the subway system um with wheelchairs without any problems and um I’m sure that there will that there will
Be lack of access to certain things for example like you wouldn’t be able to to to go up um Matsumoto Castle or he made you Castle or you might but you’d still be able to go around the castle um you know the the the grounds um drone laws of change in Japan
Please check out exactly um what the what the rules for for drone laws in Japan are um I would say you to bash or big camera if that’s something that you’re looking for in Japan um you couldn’t book a Sunset View shya Sky what’s the best um next best viewing time you
Know to be honest it’s going to be daytime so it’s going to be the same any other time that that’s convenient to you um I would recommend maybe doing the the Sky Tree instead sunset or um the Tokyo Tower Sunset as an alternative or the Tokyo Metropolitan building Sunset as a
As an alternative too hey Caroline any questions at ninja monkey guy um any interest in Vis in Korea any time um I’ve been to Korea I have I visited Korea I loved it had a great time okay my son has a severe allergies to NS how can we best manage that during our
Travel how can we safely order from those um tablet order taking devices I think when it comes to that this is where potentially potentially um going um first of all making sure that you have clear instrctions and definitely you’d have to speak to somebody um directly rather than than a
But this is where potentially and I know that when you’re going on a on a on a trip you can’t do this every single night but um you might want to consider finding local guides for for certain parts of your trip there are Food Tours
For example that you might be able to to um to book that would take care of that aspect um for you um that would be my my recommendation obviously it’s very scary when it comes to sever allergies and the language barrier you know you will never bath with people with tattoos why
Not that’s it that’s what I think also do with the Japan let’s dress yeah hey the knights J say yes I do I actually have an affiliate link with Sakura mobile the link is there when it comes to um pocket Wi-Fi I get a a small commission for every purchase they’re a
Good company they’re reputable they are they’re a good company basically so is it convenient to laundry whil you’re there yes absolutely I do laundry I packed I’m going away for 6 weeks in the summer I will pack for 10 days and every 10 days or so I will do laundry
Basically um you do need to do a little bit of planning if you are traveling around a lot of hotels have laundry like like um washing machines and dryers in the actual hotel but not all of them so when you do um sort of like um start
Booking and planning your trip you might want to factor searching for hotels that have that have um washing machines I haven’t used electric bites bikes around Tokyo um but I’ve used plenty of electric electric bikes elsewhere specifically usually around smaller towns um I’ve used it in um takayama
I’ve used it up in the North I’ve used it in in um in the South also in but more like smaller or mediumsized towns rather than than a big city like Tokyo that has such a good infrastructure travel infrastructure that’s what I was that’s was what think when thinking about
Accessibility but thanks for clearing the app um yeah accessibility is is definitely an area that I am interested in um because I know that there are various viewers of the channel that have as a question um and and you know what I’m going to say if anybody has any
Special needs like on a wheelchair or whatever and they do go on a trip to Japan I would love I would really love if you contacted me after your trips I could have like a conversation with you like a video call and I could interview you or something not maybe not for the
For the channel if you don’t want to be on on the channel but at least in terms of information in terms of having um firsthand experience or or secondhand experience but experience through through what you’ve gone through I can learn a lot you know so am I doing anything different this
Time around yes I am I’m um well when I go this spring it’s just going to be Tokyo and hanging out with friends but um this time around in the summer I’m going to be traveling for six we weeks and I’m going to be traveling um basically to Nagoya that I’ve never been
To to um some other prefixes that I’ve never been to and I’m going to I’m going to slow down I’ve set myself a rule and the rule is I must stay a minimum of two nights wherever I go so most of the places I’m staying at are two or three
Nights some of them are even four nights and I’m really going to take things a little bit slower and um explore areas a little bit more in depth and and have a little bit more time and that way I’m also going to be going to um Okinawa which I’m very looking
Forward to and um I’ll be revealing my itiner um soon well after after my spring trip I will be revealing my my itinery so that you can have an idea and follow me whilst I’m in Japan why might okay ooh what where have you had the
Best Japanese food that was not in Japan that is a really good question because I literally just had it recently and it was with star Jen who’s a moderator here two weeks ago I met her in London and we went to a um okonomiyaki place in London
And it was and I told her I said I think this might be the best J literally my words were I think this might be the best Japanese food that I’ve had outside of Japan it was very authentic it it was really delicious it was excellent yanak is a great place to go
Watch the sunset in Tokyo at the top of the um yuk dandon Stairs when I’m in Japan I do laundry more often in small batches I usually have a a a laundry day or a laundry morning or laundry evening or whatever where where I will do everything all in one go to be honest um I force myself to slow down that way
Also would you ever collaborate with Sora the troll absolutely dude he’s a legend I absolutely love the guy I think the guy is is incredible and you know what the that was really cool I was freaking out this is how how much I love the guy I was freaking out because
I came out in one of his videos right and I was absolutely freaking out when I saw myself he was reacting to um the Oriental Pearl um slams video and um obviously I’m there with Oriental Pearl so so yeah it was a little bit surreal cuz I I really think
The guy is so funny so so cool I love to meet him absolutely the answer is yes basically yeah um when it comes to queuing I think the best thing that you can do guys is use something like cluke and I have the the link there to specifically book and choose the time
That you think you want to go um and and basically plan your day around around that slot because you’re going to to save yourself a lot of time rather than queuing app so if you say your you say I’m going to go to Shibuya sky at 400
P.m. you purchase your tickets and you just make sure that you plan your day around being there at you know 3:30 half an hour earli or whatever it’s just going to save you a lot of time rather than being two hours queuing up um Japan japanes Japan you’re so
Funny thank you dude Japan and Japan Jaan if I will be streaming and I will be streaming I’ll be streaming on the happy ging Channel which you can subscribe to if you wish for my streams um and hopefully I can also post on my community tab on this channel
Too I might even try a sneaky Spanish stream on my Spanish Channel I’m not very sure I’m going to OK for some scuba diving in a month will come back with reports willing to try I’m willing to try everything yeah absolutely absolutely let me know how it
Goes I will be in aoya I believe it’s the something like the middle of July okonomi is okon okonomi Yumi okonomi Yumi is a is a new name that I give it because it’s so yummy okonomiyaki is extremely unhealthy but it’s extremely yummy too does it contain a lot of egg
Yolk it contains egg and it’s it’s like a batter so it will have some some egg in it okay if I’m ever in edin BR I will for sure um three night stops gives two full days on ground yeah all subject to traveling times of course yeah and also I’ve been
Very very specific to to make sure that my traveling time is under 3 hours if I can help it I think there’s only two two trips during throughout my whole like um six weeks that will be like 3 and a half hours um but even then I’m planning on potentially stopping halfway through
Halfway and exploring somewhere on the way when playing travel rots on Google Maps do you know how to tell where you need to reserve bus tickets in advance or not whether you need to reserve bus tickets in advance not on Google Maps it wouldn’t tell you um generally if it’s a highway
Bus you might want to check out Willer or a similar um like uh company Willer is probably one of the bigger ones that that do all the ticketing in that respect so um also like I said there are loads of guides Japan guide is a very
Good one that will give you pretty much give you that information ooh the planetarium is pretty cool o Coke Zero Coke Zero um n monkey I pre-book a time slot ticket online in advance and still spend two hours total in cues in Sky Tree you’d already you wait a minute you you
Had pre-booked a time slot and you still spend two hours in total and qes in the Sky Tree why that sounds strange and unnecessary You’ you’d pre-booked a time slot ticket online in advance that sounds very odd the longest of State in Japan is about 6 weeks which is what I usually do
In the summer six maybe a little bit longer than six weeks um this time round when I go in the in now in spring in 3 weeks time it’s just going to be 10 or 11 days not going to be very long but um
I know I’ll make the most of it and I know it’ll be worth it and I know that it would be fun to follow me actually guys it’s time for Tokyo banana Tokyo banana time 62 likes 76 viewers 78 viewers whilst I’m eating this too banana I want to once again um
Mention my friend Drew totally Drew he’s a a fellow YouTuber who’s back battling L cancer in Japan and I want to um highlight his his um his challenging battle that he’s he’s having to send some positivity his way um there’s a link that you can use
If you want to donate to the expensive treatment that he’s that he’s undergoing then you can do you can do so and help him out that way it would be great um and if not um just um check out his channel and send him some support
Subscribe send him some love um and and wish him the best because all we can do is get behind him and and help him help him out as much as we can I been to Sky Tree more than once I’ve only ever had good experiences there maybe your bad experience was a
Oneoff I’ve been to Sky Tree more than once also I love Sky Tree there’s there’s a Pokemon Center there what isn’t what is there not to love Tokyo banana time I think I only have four left so perfect timing for when I go to Japan yeah absolutely um I actually have a whole um playlist on my channel on this channel um like um let’s visit to Japan check out that um I have one which is
Less visit to Tokyo and I have one which is less visit to Japan check out the check out that playlist for sure I’m prone um to anxiety I’m visiting for the first time in a group of five awesome is a chance we will be separated at customs and immigration very very very very
Unlikely very unlikely the only time that you might be separated is when you um when you go through um through immigration and you have to show your passport there are different booths you might be separated just literally a few meters apart from each other you can still see each other just
To show different wardens your passports hey it’s the least I can do really it is positive vibes for for Drew indeed indeed yeah I’ve really been thinking about the guy a lot so thanks just roaming just roaming around please do um any recommendations for luggage forwarding from Nagano City to Tokyo I
Was looking at Yamato Express but I couldn’t find a service from Nagano if you’re staying in a hotel normally the hotel will sorted out for you I’ve not had any hotels um that haven’t never done it for me um you can even do it from from cominis
Also Sky Tree seems so depressing really but pan Panasonic company created the lighting um Matsushita konosuke is a God in Japan 10 days wow dude when do you arrive hey man I will arrive um on the 29th of March hi ninja monkey solid info tips on the channel question where’s your
Favorite place to eat I one of those people that doesn’t really have a favorite place rather than my my my I follow my belly when when I’m hungry if that makes any any sense um and I’ve eaten some incredible um meals whilst I’ve been in Japan um multiple
Times so it’s very difficult to get a bad meal in Japan that’s that’s a thing there was a cute exchange my online ticket for the paper ticket then a que through security then a queue for the lift up to the first deck and then a
Quee for the lift to the second deck oh my goodness gracious me who’s my favorite cousin I wonder who SN battle reports is does anybody know who SM battle reports is by any chance um actually let me just um put I forgot the the the thank yous over there
Steve even my cousin by the way if anybody is into um Warhammer stuff SM battle reports there is my cousin and he’s got a very cool um YouTube channel so check it out did I visit the creepy supposedly haunted vending machines area in Tokyo
Yes I visited um in K and I even guided back in the clay to there via he was doing a live stream and he was he is kind of bad with directions I have to say back in the clay is a little bit bad with directions so I guided him through the
Live stream he got there in the end how many times do you think you will be making it to Japan ever spent Halloween there yes um traveling Gabriel I’ve been to Japan I don’t know 23 24 times now I I’ve lost count to be honest I was there over
Halloween there’s a video on my on my Channel about the Halloween in in Japan um how does one remember the hidden spots one stumbles upon before everyone in the bar piles you with drinks indeed good question have one bottle of Sac lift perfect timing for your return next week
Indeed is with Team Japan in December a good season for a first time I think any time is a good season for a first time I don’t think there’ll be much difference between traveling now and traveling in December the only thing about traveling in the winter is that obviously you need
To pack a little bit differently you need to back pack more bulky stuff warmer stuff my favorite comini potato chips salty snack I have two um the calby like um sticks I know Jaan japanes I’m talking about and the salad flavor and then I love the calby um crisps or the chips um
That are Pizza flavor any tips on stores in Tokyo Japan if I need to buy casual clothes at reasonable prices yeah I mean I mean Unico dude Unico man Unico is is like casual Central and cheapish reasonable price C Central be there on April 8th I know basic cool don’t worry about the
Language barrier just embrace it um scones really do you say scone or scone I say scone we traveling in Tokyo on the 26th of March I might see you around yes if you do please say hi when um when you arrive in the 29 your channel is a huge
Help love it thanks James and please say hello to me um people stop me quite often when I’m in in Japan not it’s kind of funny the reason people stop me is because people have been watching my content just be before going on their trip so it makes sense that they that I
Am fresh in their in their memory you know like you’re watching this now because you’ll be in Japan in in a few weeks time so my face will be fresh so when you see me you recognize me um accommodation in Kyoto and Osaka is it better to stay a few nights in
Both or base myself in one and commute I would base yourself in one um totally up to you the preference I would go for if you’ve come from Tokyo I would go for Kyoto just because Kyoto is quite different and Osaka is just another cool City but another city
Well they banned the party but I went to to um Shibuya in Halloween and let’s just say it was still fun regardless yeah that vending machine area is totally overrated guys seriously like to be honest I’ve got a feeling it’s not going to last much longer
How many times this year am I planning on going well I’ve I’m going in Spring I’m Going In Summer probably go in um November and then maybe for New Year so three four times he’s terrible it’s so funny Akihabara yep for December to see luminari in Cobra in December seems the most beautiful
Thing what will you be wearing I go in a month I haven’t decided what I’m going to wear um I’ll just lay it up actually if you go back back back back back in my channel 2018 or something like that 2017 I was in in Tokyo during Sakura season
Around the same time um that gives you an idea of of how I dress um For That season cand Shrine is so cool and the fluffy pancakes are so good also which season has the less poen I think that it all depends on the kind of pollen that you’re allergic to right um
That’s the that’s the issue with pollen because the different different um um people I know that in the summer some people were were feeling it because there were some things blooming in the summer best Fami chicken dude famy chicken ninja Monkey YouTube Hami is on the 23rd I believe
Yeah I don’t know why they’re doing YouTube pami on the 23rd literally there’s going to be probably no trees I have no idea why they’re doing it so early if that’s the date they do make crisp to the next level indeed any more questions guys frog lady
Still here anytime is beautiful in Japan indeed in three days time cool any tips about going to Tokyo Disneyland Disney c um I’m going to be going to Tokyo Disney C hopefully in the summer um so I have been in the past and back when I did it last time I booked
Everything from uh comini actually believe it or not back in the day but I know that this time I’ll be using CL my own CL um affilia link to book my tickets where’s the first place you would go after arriving in Tokyo visiting Japan for the very first time
In May arriving at 6:00 a.m. so have plenty of time until the hotel check in usually I would probably hang around the area of the hotel depending on where your where you’re basing yourself so for example if I am weno based I would probably hang out relatively near to
Weno maybe go to um drop off my bags at my hotel um and I would then probably go to akiabara for a browse um maybe go for a walk to aakasa that kind of thing um I wouldn’t specifically stay to just the the One
Stop of my hotel but I would stay in the vicinity of the area of my of my hotel basically that’s what I would probably do have a couple of questions go for it um first there are any accommodation that you know of that are budget friendly but still offer free Wi-Fi
Washing machines Etc um generally um my favorite accommodation when it comes or chain when it comes for washing machine and relatively budget is a dormy in uh um D me in has great laundry services it’s free washing machine and you just have to pay for the for the
Dryer and it washes the clothes really really well and there’s a public bath also I wouldn’t say it’s like dead dead cheap but it ain’t expensive if that makes any sense compared to some of the other hotels um when it comes to budget friendly accommodation I also very much
Stick to Upper hotels this time round when I’m going in the summer I’m going to do go through a pleora of different hotels just because I want to film and and have experience of certain hotels and certain types of hotels for for a video in the future so I’ll be staying
In a hotel for example that has a hotel room is actually being quite expensive but because I’m seeing it as a as an expense for the for the channel which is where all of your lovely um you know donations go towards me being able to actually experience and film and put
Together videos guides um so I’m going to be staying in a in a hotel in beu which has it’s a Japanese traditional style rokan but I have my own hot buff like a my own my own onen in the room um and that will allow me to not only film
Onen but also you know review and and highlight and put together a future video about accommodation in Japan and um so yeah generally it isn’t a problem unless specifically it’s like a a weekend maybe but even that I wouldn’t say is a problem um it was if it’s a public
Holiday then definitely there might be a problem um generally don’t forget there’s so many Shin canant every single hour that um there’s usually no problems my suggestion just for peace of mind is just to to book the day before or two days before yeah and not only that um Japan
Japan inan but Johnny you can also purchase via clo which is pretty cool going to Japan in the summer is a Death Wish in some ways in some ways it is in others it isn’t in a few weeks you’ll be in Tokyo staying in the suburbs on the west side
Of the city am Mirana just wondering is it socially acceptable to take drugs in the morning around the neighborhoods um generally I see a lot of people jogging around Parks specifically and there is there are many many parks in in Tokyo so I’m sure that you should go just go out
For for a jog in the morning the only thing that you’ll be surprised is that morning in in Japan is very different morning in Tokyo is sort of very different to morning elsewhere because the sun rises so early that that by 6:00 a.m. it will feel like it’s not
Not 6:00 a.m. um just do your thing look around you see see what people are doing and um maybe you can find some routes um I know that like Nike um club and Adidas club and some other um running websites um have routes that locals create and

Hi, I was asking where can I book online 3 individual tickets to the Shinkansen train all at once so I don’t have to pay fee for each ticket of $12 if I were to book individually.
Thank you for your insights. You have good thumbnails, do you mind letting me know what software you use for your thumbnails? Do you create your own?
My wife and I have been to Japan 20+ times in 25 years and were there 3 times last year. I feel like I know it all but it's still fun to watch these Japan travel channels.
Suica is available at Narita airport via vending machine or office
I dunno, you can get to a lot of places from Asakusabashi with 0 transfers (asakusa, akihabra, shinjuku, ueno) and everything else only requires one transfer and everything except maybe Tokyo disney or odaiba, is within 10-35 min.
For NRT to Ikebukuro, I recommend the Skyliner to Nippori Station and then transfer to the JR Yamanote Line. I've never booked the Skyliner in advance, just bought the ticket from the ticket counter upon arrival. If you don't want to transfer, there is a shuttle bus which takes longer (30~40 minutes longer depending on traffic) but is about JPY 800 less expensive with no need to transfer. (You might be able to find various discounts for both the Skyliner or shuttle online).
I still wonder … to visit Japan but not wonder about Japan history, literature and culture … this is strange to me … um, but I haven't finished Tale of Genji yet ! so I am just an idiot !
I am in the preparation phase for our upcoming trip to Japan and I am already pulling my hair with the Visit Japan Web in order to preregister for immigration and customs formalities.
Scanning the passport is proving to be impossible, at least with my devices, so I went with the manual procedure.
But once my passport details entered, the system tells me that the photo of my face is required, and tells me to…scan my passport!
Totally ridiculous.
So, my question is: is there a way to provide a photo without scanning the passport, or am I already doomed?
Thanks.
1:11:00 @NinjaMonkeyguy thank you so much for your very helpful advice 😀
