I am Der Geher and this time in the south of the city. In Heimfeld, the route starts at Borstelbeker Hauptdeich and leads up the Schwarzenberg. Passing St. Paul’s Church at the Heimfeld train station, the route continues along Heimfelder Straße towards the Green Center Park. The path ends at a small skating area.
Otto I of Lüneburg-Braunschweig laid out a supply yard for Harburg Castle in 1535. This gave rise to the settlement Zum Heynfeld, which developed into a village. In 1937, the village was then incorporated into Hamburg as a district. Today, 22,500 inhabitants live here.
