What does a Belarusian neighborhood look like? Karl Marx street/Lenin district/City Center/Minsk

Welcome back everyone it’s been a few weeks since I’ve been on this channel uh my apologies I a little bit busy moving into the new flat or the new uh new Loft but everything’s settling down um the weather is really sunny right now you probably can’t see the

Sun but uh that’s my building and the three windows that you see on the bottom floor are my loft so I’m going to take you in my neighborh Hood show you all of the cafes some of the restaurants uh so enjoy okay I’m really excited about living in this

Neighborhood is it has everything all the restaurants has like five or six cafes um it’s very popular Street to live on it’s centrally located it is in the center so I can’t really be in a better location in Minsk I don’t need to take taxis anymore more um I can walk um

Don’t really need to take the underground unless I go outside of the center which I rarely do and if I do I just hop in a Yandex so here’s my here’s the uh it’s a little tunnel to get out of my my

Yard so this is what I I got to I got to walk through this every day when I want to leave but the great thing is when you walk out I’m I’m on Carl Mark street so let’s let’s go start the tour so right here is uh News Cafe and

Uh this is where all the xats hang out uh all the foreigners it’s really nice kind of expensive but this is uh this is where they hang out and during the summer they have a nice Terrace so so there’s probably another 30 40 people just sitting out here so

It’s really cool in the mornings let’s go inside and check it out I’m not going to order anything I just want to show you okay there you go okay so one thing I want to show you it’s interesting across the street from where I live from the US

Embassy or the news Cafe we got the British Embassy so if you are British uhoh gu’s coming out okay anyways I thought he was going to come and get me yeah he actually was he’s looking at me I don’t think he appreciated me uh putting the camera on the embassy but

I’m walking away he’s not coming he’s not following me so that’s good okay on to the next okay coming up we have a it school it’s called it shog which means it step so it uh basically just has different assortment of IT classes to help you with your computer and different

Softwares okay you also have a nice park um it’s very Green in the spring and summer but you have you know some benches you have trash but but uh if you can see there’s rows two rows of trees and there’s lights and so uh in the spring summer

It’s very very green it’s very beautiful okay so this is the cross stre of lenina and cudle marks it’s a very busy pedestrian intersection and I want to show you this place it’s called T um it’s basically means croissant but this is a very popular uh Cafe that I go

To and everybody else goes to um so basically I get I get a croissant sandwich and I get lasagna and I get a water and it’s only $471 cents so it’s very very good deal one thing I want to show you you got to have you got to have a KFC in

Every neighborhood that you live in I never go here but uh I just want to let you know there is a KFC there’s many KFC’s all around okay moving on okay just ahead of me uh we have a pizza joint pizza parlor it’s called Pizza

Tempo um I won’t I won’t go in there but this is if I want to get pizza we can get pizza to our little housew party that we had not very many people came over but uh I bought a few pizzas and this is where I bought it they didn’t

Deliver but I just picked it up okay moving on all right okay on the other side of the street uh it’s a university I believe it’s the University of economics and so you have a lot of students uh walking on the street okay just ahead of us we have a new bar

Called lid bear litka litka let’s go down and check it out I’m not going to have a beer but I’ll let you guys check it out you can get a beer here for a couple dollars draft see it’s a good good atmosphere lot of beers on top used to be a college bar

Um but that one went out of business and now litka moved in litka has moved in everywhere basically there we go light beer okay there’s another I think it’s a cafe oh it’s a clothing store there you can let’s go check it out I’ve never actually been up there okay oh oh I

See this is where you can get where you can get Vape I don’t Vape I don’t smoke smells good in there though so if you’re a vapor this is where you come okay here’s a an Italian is Italian restaurant this is actually where I took my uh my girlfriend on it’s our first

Real date so really good food expensive for for mens but you know oh I just want to do this hello all right thank you all right they’re usually really polite when I have the camera okay moving on another intersection and again here’s another Park with benches and rows of

Trees in the springtime which is coming soon another month or so it’ll be all green and then if you look look down this way I don’t know if you can see it but there’s a stadium there and that’s where I’ll do another video but see that look looks like a

Paddle those lights that’s where the 1980 uh Moscow Olympics were bellus was part of the Soviet Union so that’s where they had it right there there’s a a beauty salon let me go in there on just to show you the beauty salon hello oh okay hope you appreciated

That okay so now we got oh the clothing store female women’s clothing store I’ve never been here but uh hello okay all right okay right here you got Cafe o YY so let’s go check it out I believe this is a uh B Russian restaurant and uh they have really good

Really good uh drwy so this is where you go when you get draw so I didn’t want to go all all the way in there okay moving on okay here you got a this a college bar it’s called Adam bar I actually think it’s closed right up

Here we have a Belgium sandwich cafe they call it sandwich like Halloween the Witch and it’s actually good in here I come in here get get a couple sandwiches get some soup and uh hello I’m just doing a video what oh hello hello I’ll be here tomorrow

Okay that’s where I usually go to get a sandwich um very good oh if you want to get uh Wine and Spirits you can actually get a bottle of wine get a bottle of hard liquor whatever you want okay just ahead they have it’s kind of interesting it’s a chest and Checker

Center or kind of like a a little University for children so they teach uh the children young how to play chess and checkers that’s something we don’t do in the US I’ve never actually played chess kind of embarrassed but I did play checkers I think I’m pretty good at it

But it’s it’s not too hard not too hard so but also what they have in here and let’s go in here I don’t think they’re going to let me in they have a gym um which I was going to join um but the only reason why I didn’t

Join is they don’t have a squat rack but everything else is good you can see in here it’s pretty state-of-the-art equipment um but I opted not to I opted to go to gym 24 over by the Galleria CU they have everything there okay let’s go across the street here

This is a cool restaurant I believe this is I’m pretty sure it’s Georgian May check I mean not check but uh B Russian let’s get a little view in here okay it’s actually around 4:35 right before dinner so no one’s in there um coming up we have place that

Uh my girlfriend and I go to all the time it’s called Madame Coco and so it’s over here in the kind of in here inside set in the back it’s a cafe bar uh we actually were here for for breakfast on Saturday morning and they have a really good breakfast and a nice

Little bar or you can have a beer let’s see if they’re open okay okay okay all right hope that gave you a little good view inside the cafe it’s one of our favorites okay and here we got a simply food store it’s kind of like a little Deli kind of a high-end

Deli I got uh ice cream you got coold Cuts desserts fruits and vegetables and you can get coffee here we we don’t shop here cuz it’s a little higher but if you need something they’re definitely here okay coming up we have a cafe it’s called paragraph coffee and one of my favorites actually

I was here this morning because I drink cold brew and and in the winter they they definitely don’t have cold brew and the cafes the cafes don’t have any eye and if they don’t have cold brew what I do is I have them do four espresso

Shots and then uh and put it in a glass with ice and that’s my cold brew in the winter no but none of the cafes have ice but paragraph coffee they have ice so I usually come here because I I can get my uh my cold brew my espresso over I and

Then here’s kind of uh view very cool very cool okay and then and then right next to par paragraph Cafe you have another Cafe restaurant called Michelle’s which uh we we like to go to for breakfast we bring Obie the dog and uh we’re not going to go in there now

Cuz they’re working on the door but Michelle’s is nice they allow the dog they feed him water and then I give him some treats and then you got Milano Cafe which is a nice place it’s been here a long time it doesn’t look like they’re open now

Um yeah and then let me give you guys a few col marks look at the apartments up above really nice place to live okay it’s green so this next place we’re going to go to uh is called Paris de Cafe and it’s a really nice PL you know five star

Restaurant and uh it’s been here for forever probably the first nice five star restaurant in in Minsk don’t hold me to that but that’s what I think um so you got here we go Paris de Cafe it’s got a cool bar tables there’s a section on the left oh I just one

Minute and it’s really cool here we got all the old Bell Russian uh actors politicians artists here’s the the cool bar and uh hello and then you got a side up back there you can put your uh put your jackets restrooms down there there’s another section and

Uh my girl and I like to come here thank you CU they’re really nice and uh it’s actually not too expensive okay then there’s a there’s another Cafe it’s called Marx and books or Marx e kigi which means Mark and books Ki is books so it’s kind of around the corner

Here and I think it’s pretty cool because it has a bookstore and a cafe combined marks and Ki cume Books Okay one here so this is the cafe and then here’s the kind of the book bookstore which is kind of cool you got English too Warhol Andy Warhol The Rolling Stones
