Skiing at Zugspitze, Germany’s Highest Ski Resort | Garmisch-Partenkirchen, Germany (2024) Vlog

Hello and welcome to my channel the so-called  travel expert we are here at the beautiful ski   resort of garmish partenkirchen in Germany  now this time along with skiing for a couple   of days also at the Garmisch classic Resort  we also chose to go up uh to Zugspitze which

Is the highest peak in uh Germany and also  the highest ski resort at around 2,800 m now if you want to go to Zugspitze you have  a couple of options you can either take the   train uh from Garmish Partenkirchen main  station or uh the Hausberg ski resort as

Well and there are a couple of other stops  that you can take this train as well but my   recommendation would be to take the train either  from Garmish Partenkirchen main station or from   Hausberg because the train is full after that  and you will not get place to sit in the busy

Tourist season another option is you could also  just drive uh to the Eibsee Lake from where   you can uh take the cable car up to Zugspitze  however keep in mind that uh you still have to

Carry your own skis and from my perspective just  sitting in the train is a much easier thing to do [Music] so we are all dressed up and heading  off uh to the Zugspitze to ski on the   glaciers so really looking forward to that [Music]

Experience and there’s the cable car departure  point a short walk away from the I train station   the ski pass for Zugspitze also includes  travel either by the train or by the cable car and here is a view of the train  station and restaurants once you reach

The Zugspitze ski area we are standing on  the ski slopes corresponding to the black   point on the map and looking towards  the Green Point which is the train station there are two chairlifts and two T-Bar  lifts serving a number of blue and red slopes and

Here’s our experience of one of the chair lifts  which takes us from 2,300 M to 2,600 [Music] M   as you can see the slopes are also quite busy  because it was High season and coincided with   the school holiday week we are on the Zugspitze  glacier are you enjoying it yes just sitting

On the chairlift and taking in the wonderful  views was also a worthwhile [Music] experience At this height the snow quality  was great and skiing was an   enjoyable experience compared to  the poor quality snow at the lower levels let us now experience the second chairlift  which also takes us from around 2,300 M to 2,600

M we were also quite lucky as on this day the  weather was calm and the winds were also very   light I’m not sure if this would have been as good  an experience in very windy weather [Music] hello

From now this was perhaps the only disappointing  experience of our ski trip at Zugspitze at around   lunchtime there were pretty long cues  of people waiting to get a table in the   restaurant and the only option then was  to find a table in the outdoor seating

Area not everybody’s cup of tea I guess so my  recommendation would be to avoid going to the   restaurant at around lunchtime or even better  just carry your own sandwiches and have a quiet picnic so that’s it for this video and I hope  it gives you a glimpse of what to expect if

You go skiing at Germany’s highest ski resort at  Zugspitze if you have any questions please let   me know in the comments section and yes please  do like share and subscribe thank [Music] you
