In this video we explore Guarda Do Embau. We started our road trip in Florianopolis, werented a car for 30 days and we are heading down the coast of Brazil stopping in small cute beach towns.
Guarda Do Embau is a short 1 hour drive from Florianopolis, it’s a small cute beach town. There are beautiful hikes and trails to explore in Guarda Do Embau and a beautiful river separates the town from the beach. You can choose to walk and swim across the river to the beach or you can pay $4 reis and take a boat to the beach.
The beach in Guarda Do Embau is fairly small, but it’s not too busy and you will not have a problem renting a chair and beach umbrella. Chair rentals for the day are $10 Reis per chair and an umbrella is $20 reis for a small umbrella.
They have many different food and drink vendors, you can get pastel, caipirinha, corn, cheese and other delicious brazilian food.
