Morning it’s our last full day how’s that happened so the first thing we are going to be doing this morning is the vets in uh n chatel um not been to there before I’ve seen it on Facebook and people have recommended it but uh I think we’re probably going to be a bit

Disappointed with the prices um especially since in brge where we normally go she’s 50 for the two of them so I’m expecting it to be possibly double but we’ll see when we get there I know sharp intake of Red’s breath there you can’t believe it yeah this is going

To hurt it’s not exactly chup skate is it it’s not chup skate um but we’re nowhere near Brugge so to the UK and then it’s probably 100 quid a dog this is two tablets though it’s pathetic I know anyway we’ll soon find out no point moaning before I even get

Get that down we’re smiling because we’ve just come out of the vets and it cost a grand total of €78 for do two dogs which is two consultations but she did them at the same time it’s probably helpful to tell them with weights as well do you

Remember um Pippa was 26 kg sorry for showing your weight and Dolly was 19 I know she’s always been a bit chunky so yeah two tablets two consultations and the tablets were coated in dog meat yeah so they went over a tree oh she she did

Really well with them uh yeah so €78 yeah now um she actually o gave them a full medical check each which was good um but something’s come up and it’s not been a surprise to me because I noticed this probably about a month ago on

Pepper one of her eyes first of all I thought it was both eyes had gone cloudy which dogs of her age she’s 12 will go cloudy um but then I realized that one was very cloudy and the other one only cloudy in where the pupil was so she’s

Had a look and she says we need to get Pippa seen by a vet as soon as we get home there’s something going on with that eye um I suspect from the way she was saying it and I have had a quick Google to be honest uh it’s possibly not

Something good but uh we’ll see when we get back it wasn’t a surprise to us when she said it and yeah uh it’s not great hearing something like that but I suspected it was something we had planned to get it dealt with when we got

Home and get it looked at by our vet um you know we’ll we’ll we’ll get it to the vets that’s all that matters and then we’ll we’ll deal with it then um but you know yeah let’s get rolling I know we’re going now to graine yes you know it’s

Our favorite Duck Farm stopover or arrival point when we come in and out of France so uh we just thought it’s easiest place we know it’s so well to go and spend the night before we have to get up tomorrow morning and get to the ferry indeed and it’s 2 hours from here

Yeah so uh let’s crack on what we go yeah we got to get some LPG because we want to fill up with LPG before we get back to the UK where it’s a bit of a struggle apparently yeah LPG and diesel diesel we’ll see what the prices are like cuz

We’ve heard it’s more expensive over here than it is in the UK weird it seems to be doesn’t it so yeah let get let’s head off and we’ll see you a bit further down the road I’m having my last shop in France in an ocean finding it quite emotional

Actually uh I got to come back to Asda soon right it’s our last meal on this trip oh I’m glad you said on this trip yeah it’s our last meal and we are having a lovely plate of lasagna and salad lasagna and salad yeah nice and

Big yeah so I see it our last meal of the trip it’s the last meal of the trip do m there we go it’s been great fun hasn’t it it’s the 27th of December and today’s the day we’re getting the ferry I think we’re still just coming to terms with what’s happened I was about the worst hour of my life she’s sedated at the moment and they’re looking to operate on her at 3:00 this Afternoon We’ve enjoyed it we’ve had um a lot more meals out this time than we would normally cuz we’ve done just a lot less traveling we did a lot less traveling so we could have more meals out and of course Spain has probably got my favorite style of food and yours as well

Well you like it don’t you yeah I look very good and uh so yeah we’ve eaten more than we would normally have eaten out so uh but we have done a fair bit of cooking in the van as well it’s funny how food in France and food in Spain are very different

Um I like both uh but for eating out Spain wins hands down yeah every single time I think the cities we went to had lots of choice they were all very close to each other so the competition was healthy and we just chose it random we W and we weren’t

Disappointed and of course menu Dela menu of the day yeah I mean what was one what was your favorite meal out that we had Villa hoosa when we sat there by the seaside oh yeah that was nice I think I enjoyed the um not the most but the uh

The churos and the hot chocolate that was good yeah I enjoyed those not the fish heads eising buns oh I love those that now that was my favorite meal and that was in Dena I really enjoyed that they were good they were good and I was eating them

Right yeah so uh I don’t think we’ve explained to people where we are tonight we sort of said we were going hello hello Peppa all right there pip we said we were going to gravine to the duck farm but as we were driving along we

Knew we needed LPG so I was going to pull us in here then I realized it was the place we stayed at the first night we came over at the beginning of the trip in December and we decided just to stay here so we’ve spent the day pretty

Much sorting things out um in this car park doing shopping that kind of we’re in the car park in the pouring down rain it is yeah I mean it was so bad about half an hour ago we tried to do this and had to turn it off you couldn’t hear

A man came and he looked at it looked at it pushed and pulled it a bit walked away hasn’t come back since not very impressive is it not happy you’re not happy you don’t look unhappy it is what it is but here comes a guy now look he’s come to fix it is

There anyway we’ve uh arrived at DOA haven’t we we have and I can see the doors opening and it looks like there’s Sunshine what there is I I can see the doors behind me and it looks like there’s sunshine are you sure the doors aren’t just painted blue no there’s

Certainly No Sunshine view mirror and John’s message and said they’re Sunshine at home all right okay um I’m going to find out now in a minute now in a minute now in a minute over there by there yeah if we get through Customs easy this time

Isn’t it well if we get through then obviously last time was just a fluke and if we don’t get through then our names on a list somewhere yeah either the names or the number plate or something but we didn’t get get searched on the way over the van in front of us got

Pulled over and they had a look inside and yeah they were um but yeah we didn’t get a look at did we no that was one rough cross in really rough wasn’t it oh it was pretty bad wasn’t it yeah so uh fortunately neither of us get seasick but it wasn’t very

Nice especially with the doors trapped open like that and um the toilets weren’t clean and there was no milk in the coffee machine for the those who like milk and to be honest the drinks were a little bit lacking they were yeah you know you pay1 each to go in there so

It was a bit lacking this time unfortunately you know it’s a nice usually brilliant service it’s a nice ship it’s a comfy enough Crossing but again yeah as you said you know the wind the rain it was Hing through the door there was eight tins of cola they were

All gone in a short space of time cuz there was at least 12 people in the cabin M the milk ran out on the coffee machine so that was a bit poor but um there we go there’s worse things happening but yeah as you said you do

Pay for it yeah you do if it was free then it would be one thing but we pay to go in there and part of the deal is there’s drinks and if you can’t have them and it’s freezing cold that’s the door’s just opened yeah it is it does

There and this is on until July so I think we’ll be stuck here until July yeah may as well just turn around and go back then yeah and it’s all good to look back on I mean the trip itself in some ways went really fast in other ways slow with everything that happened

With Dolly sticking around France but we certainly learned that stay in put isn’t a bad thing we did learn a lot yeah that that is a very important thing we traveled this trip in a way that we’ve never traveled before whereas we took ourselves to a destination and just just

Traveled around a very small area but stayed longer than we would stay like 3 or 4 days per Place uh we’ve never traveled like that before no and I and I think that’s how we’re going to do it going forward well it’s not a bad way to do it because traditionally we would

Have gone a lot deeper into Spain we would have gone a lot further south we’d have probably raced around the whole thing yeah which would have been bit of a shame because you see a lot but you spend a lot of time driving as well so and we’d rather spend

The time exploring now wouldn’t we yeah we seem to spend more time exploring and what we realize is that there’s a lot to see in little pockets yeah I mean that tiny little area we visited you can’t go wrong youve spend three months there easily and still not see it all uh that

We’ve left plenty to go back to and we will be going back next year um yeah fantastic trip really enjoyed it very different from the Denmark trip and very different from all the trips we’ve done before yeah I think we’ve seen all seasons of weather over there so what’s
