Trip to Disneyland 2024 ~ Downtown Disney & Disneyland Hotel Alamo Inn Day 1
We finally made it to Disneyland 5 hours long trip here but we made it and we checked into the Alamo in which is right across the street from the parking lot at Disneyland and I’m going to give you a tour of our room here it seems pretty quiet doesn’t seem
Too busy right now so um this is the room all right so when you first walk in we got a double Queen room so we have a queen bed here and a queen bed there and we have a refrigerator and microwave and a little set of drawers and TV over here
There is a mirror right there there’s our fridge mini fridge and then we have a little desk area next to it with a little coffee station and some um plug bus for charging don’t forget I got an elf and this is my real elf right here y
Jameson’s elf is coming on vacation to Disney with us he didn’t want to go back to the North Pole he wanted to come with us right and you can see out the window there right across the street is Disney California Adventure and then there’s the parking lot so we are very
Close we flew into Ontario Airport um and then took a lift here which was about 40 45 minutes which was not bad at all traffic was really good we’re getting here on a Tuesday and then we’re actually going to start walking over to downtown Disney right now but um
Again we have a little back to the room we have a little seating area with a little table and then there’s also a little rack up there for hanging our own little heating unit um all of the hotel in this strip look like they’re mostly Motel style the more classic uh
Motel uh type places um over here we have our little charging stations and we also have a lamp a clock and then there’s a phone and the bedding looks nice and comfortable the beds feel pretty comfortable when I sat down on them and then bathroom is just pretty
Simple so nice and clean though I did notice it smells clean it looks nice and clean just a nice little simple bathroom sink mirror toilet shower they are using papaya products it looks like yeah papaya so and then the window does open up back here but it does it’s locked at
The moment so just pretty simple but um this was one of the more inex inexpensive places to stay and as far as being inexpensive it was was also close to Disney and then um like I said this is more of a motel style so when you leave you’re exiting to like the
Exterior kind of like the um moderate resorts at Disney moderate and value Resorts and we’re actually right across from the little elevator elevator we’re only um two stories up but there’s a pool over there and maybe I’ll show you a little bit more of the Alamo in later but we’re going to get
Walking CU we’re hungry and we want to go check out downtown Disney all right so here’s the little pool area over there it’s cute little pool oh yeah we didn’t feel like waiting for the elevator it took too long so we’re going going down one flight of stairs and we’re heading to downtown
Disney I keep wanting to say Disney spr Springs but it is called Downtown Disney here so there’s the pool and we are going to start walking Alamo in and suits that’s actually the little check-in Office right there this is classic Disneyland yeah probably one of those rooms look see
Probably next door to where we’re saying is the Anaheim Discovery in and sweets this is another place we could have stayed soic Disney there’s California Adventure right there is that that’s the uh the roller coaster I don’t know the name of it I don’t know the name of any of the rides
Really such small little like guest service areas yeah cuz they’re all like motels yeah no homeless no now I heard there is a garden with all these statues all these topiaries back here somewhere near the Best Western Plus and they say it’s a really cute little
Garden like you can just walk there it’s not um might be able to get to it from over here I don’t know there it is no I don’t think we saw that last time nope yeah I think this guard the topiary Garden is over there so they said on Google Maps that it’s
About a 14-minute walk from the hotel we’re staying at to the entrance to downtown Disney or we’re actually heading towards Trader Sam’s over in the other Hotel over here just keep following the walkway follow the signs for Disney Downtown Disney and theme parks walkway to downtown Disney right there
Yep there’s the grand californ foran Hotel over there lots of construction going on the Disneyland Hotel what do you think of that that’s cool huh yeah we’re going to head in and head to Trader Sam’s and this is right across from the entrance into downtown Disney right there
There must be a run Disney convention going on right now it’s not so bad an hour and a half so this is the Disneyland Hotel I it must be over there cuz that’s very TIY looking oh look at the pool the pool is cool come this way this is really pretty here
Huh this is the adventure tower on this side there’s four towers that one I don’t know the name of but we want to head up there right up there is where we want to head Trader Sam’s and tangaroa Terrace straight ahead so that’s Trader Sam’s and then tangaroa Terrace which we’re going to
Mobile order is this way and so you can order and then pick a seat anywhere outside that you want to eat so let’s go up here and check out the mobile order app and see what we want to eat here right here honey tangaroa Terrace water and to go inside on the
Inside all right so this was the Shipwreck on the rocks uh yeah I’m Shipwrecked $20 for that it was yeah it was $20 for the drink without the cup and it was 40 if you want the souvenir cup there’s some really cool cups over there oh I’m sure
There are I’m I bet people collect them we have a nice spot right next to the pool here and we mobile ordered we’re just waiting for our order I think we’ve got like 15 minutes or so before our order is ready ready don’t forget try and find the free hid
Mickey not near the pool okay let’s see where are the Hidden Mickey let me see if I can zoom in Hidden Mickey oh I see three of them down under those um the towels over there under those uh what are they called little Huts it’s pretty here though isn’t it
Yeah yeah okay so we got the pork gaoa which is like a dumpling yep and then we got the Hawaiian platter I think it was called which is rice and beef short rib macaroni SLO it’s good buddy they look good you know what they are the dumplings sure Damon likes the rice though right mhm let’s try it okay it’s good it’s hard to screw those up yeah so there’s the meat the meat is very good these are delicious the spicy mayo that’s with them is so
Good Jameson loves the rice and the uh pasta salad’s good too yeah definitely hit the spot finally a good meal yeah for sure yeah so as you can see this this was terrible we didn’t like any of it actually quite the opposite it was delicious Jameson ate all of the rice we
Ate everything else the pora was so good B thing is that boozy drink I drunk one you had a sip of it and didn’t realize it was a boozy drink huh yeah fall was lemonade oh boy well next time next time first okay I so there’s the monreal pool it’s not open right
Now but the food was delicious at tangaroa Terrace so we are going to just explore around the hotel here a little bit we’re heading over to the convention center I know there’s a run Disney event happening or a fitness expo happening there’s the convention center and here is the Fantasia shop I
Think we’re going to go in here all right so we’re heading out of the Disneyland Hotel and we’re going to head into downtown Disney for a little bit and check it out down here too C yes already freezing it’s like in the 60s but we’re freezing I don’t know how kids were
Swimming in that swimming pool I’m sure it was heated but still we’re not used to this cold 60° weather all right we’re going through security here so I’m going to put the camera away but then we’ll come back when we get to the other side so we are in Downtown Disney
Disneyland and there’s a lot of construction happening it looks like there’s a new restaurant going in over here and then there’s also shim shim what is this called it’s called skim or shim skim scrim scrim scrim whatever it’s called um there is the Star Wars Trading Post

Are cute huh hello okay thanks what is this chur is that toffee with chur like white taco and then o sounds good they’re cute huh so this is all the 2024 Disneyland merch got these cute little clear ears that say 2024 lots of bright Colors this is a nice sweatshirt it’s more of a cropped sweatshirt just a hoodie yep it’s still like the traditional one
We took a little NEW YEARS trip to Disneyland CA! On day 1 we explored the Alamo Inn across the street from the Disneyland Resort. We also walked to Disneyland Hotel for dinner & Downtown Disney area for some shopping.
