We were only able to spend a day in zadar  but this definitely made an imprint in our memories our first stop was the sea organ which  is a unique architectural Marvel that uses the   power of the sea to create sound as the waves and  wind interact with the organs underwater pipes

It is truly something very unique to zadar  and I have never seen something like this before we walked down the prominade to find a quiet  spot we enjoyed a picturesque view of zadar Waterfront the water is a stunning  turquoise and it is breathtakingly

Beautiful we headed towards the Charming  streets of zad’s Old Town where history   comes to life around every corner we were  both surprised and in awe of the ancient   Roman ruins and medieval churches this area is  a treasure Trove of architectural wonders just

Waiting to be explored this Roman ruins gives a  fascinating glimpse of life when zadar was a Roman Colony we wandered through the markets  to do some souvenir shopping and found   the prices to be much more reasonable  than split or dubnik so we recommend

To purchase here if you are visiting the  other two cities as those are much more touristy for breathtaking views of zadar climb to the  top of St Anastasia’s Cathedral from here   you can soak in pan Amic views of the Town its  surrounding islands and the sparkling Adriatic

Sea like most other Croatian towns the weather  was absolutely perfect for being outdoors as   we wander through these cobblestone streets take  a look around notice the Charming architecture a   mix of an anient Stone buildings and colorful  facades it’s like stepping back in time while

Still being firmly rooted in the present and  speaking of History did you know that zadar is   one of the oldest continuously inhabited cities  in Europe it’s been around for thousands of years   and you can feel that sense of history in every  every corner you turn but enough about the past

Let’s talk about the present zadar is buzzing with  life cafes are packed with people enjoying their   morning coffee shops are open for business and the  streets are alive with the sound of chatter and laughter now if you a foodie like me you’re in for  a treat Zadar is known for its delicious

Seafood fresh from the Adriatic Sea I highly  recommend trying some local specialities   like black cuttlefish rissoto or grilled  squid trust me your taste buds will thank you we’re having mimosas in Zadar If you have the opportunity to  I highly recommend making your   way back down the promenade and  staying to enjoy the spectacular

Sunset after Sunset make your way towards  the greeting to the sun which is a   solar powered Monument which turns on  at night producing a beautiful light   show this can be found on the western  point of the zadar peninsula and at the

Entrance to the port this is a popular  tourist attraction and there is no entry fee that wraps up our adventure in Zadar  I hope you enjoyed exploring this Gem of   a town with me and if you ever find yourself in  Croatia be sure to add Zadar to your itinerary
