Kigali – Rwanda really shocked me – First Impressions (Best city in Africa?)
Bloody hell guys top of the morning talk morning Kish my world Y Man welcome to to Kigali Rwanda man yes I just arrived in Kali this morning I was so tired man from The Journey but uh this place that I’m staying at was so generous to actually
Give me early checkin so I checked in took an up and now I’m up and it was very cold in the morning Kali is not hot like Juba where I came from or even kalala so guys welcome to a new video I am staying in this place called Mamba
This is called the Mamba a youth hostel if you’re curious to know I’m going to give you a small tour of the place and then we’re going to go and check out the area experience The Vibes of Kigali Rwanda and uh you know combine this one with the first impressions Kigali yes I
Didn’t do much filming when was coming here but we’re going to explore later on today and probably tomorrow and then we’ll see how good Kali really is so this is it guys this is the area this is like the Lou area the chill area of the
Mamb h hostel you can see how it looks like and uh I like the setup the Wi-Fi is very good cuz I uploaded my videos very very fast and let me show you the area as we go down there they even have a free swimming pool free games and
Everything it’s not so bad but let’s go and see all right guys so this is Mamba the area and it has activities like over here there’s like some volleyball people can play volleyball here for free if you want and this is the area there it’s called a Mamba bowling alley so
Apparently this is kigali’s only bowling alley yes very very amazing so you can also play some bowling if you want there’s a green area over here for you to chill catch a Vibe that’s where I was up there it’s really nice and green and beautiful yeah and here is the swimming
Pool this is the swimming pool area also you can come here if you feel like you want to catch a Vibe oh but it says pool closed for now so I don’t know yes this is the pool man it’s a bit deep I don’t know why it’s closed but uh that is it
And there’s a bar and a bowling Eary in this other side so if you want to play some bowling also you can come here so it’s open also to locals as much as it’s open to visitors of the alley this is it man so yeah you can play some bowling
Here and enjoy life and of course it’s nice place to come and just sit and eat and chill and catch a Vibe so I don’t know why the pool is closed but uh hopefully it will be open soon enough yes my friends that is it okay let’s go
And uh explore I really like how it looks The Greenery and everything yeah but I’ve heard people complain in the reviews that at night it’s like a disco so it gets really really loud so it might be a bit difficult to sleep at night okay let’s go and explore outside
Now good morning guys top of the morning top of the morning Kish my world welcome to a brand new day a brand new video and a brand new country I am in Kigali Rwanda I arrived late last night and I was a bit too busy too
Preoccupied and I needed to rest a lot but now today is officially my first day outside guys look at how beautiful this place is look at all the views look at the background it’s called the land of a Thousand Hills so you can see like it’s
All hilly everywhere as you go around so I I’m living in this hostel called mamba mamba the best best place so far h i mean the only place I’ve been so far but it’s amazing a lot of things happening night life all these things and guys this is my first official first first
Impressions of Kigali Rwanda boy this place is clean you know look at this the streets the streets of gold you can’t see like any any any type of trash anywhere man so I’m excited to be here man First Impressions K my world so I’m going to be going into town downtown and
Seeing how downtown is and uh it’s actually my first encounter with downtown because I don’t know I didn’t really see much but so far so good man I’m really impressed when I came here I came here with a border border motorcycle and it’s one border per person and everybody has their own
Helmet so that was a a big shocker I didn’t know that you know yeah as you can see even this guy here coming up this hill it’s really really striep you can see it’s like two guys but everyone has to have their own helmet that’s the
Beauty of this place and it’s so clean guys look at the street so so clean like the place feels like a European Vibe and I’m super excited to be here and I also got to learn that this is the place I’m staying actually it’s called kimihurura kimihurura if you see this kimihurura
This is the area where I am living and yesterday I had lunch somewhere over here uh rice and beans and it cost me only 100 uh Frank no 1,000 Frank so it’s not too expensive so I’m loving it man so yes my friend good yeah okay okay
Yeah those guys fixed my shoes yesterday Yeah man so let’s go explore this Kali and I here it’s also the safest country in Africa so apart from being the cleanest cleanest city in Africa it’s also the same time the safest country in Africa so I’m excited to see this place
That is it my friends yes hi my you good yeah you’re busy working HH yeah okay you speak English or a little I do know you do know okay that’s good A lot of people speak English here not many but you you know you speak a little okay me I’m from
Kenya I’m coming to see this country and explore yeah I’m going downtown to town Town yeah yeah is a bit fun or it’s okay it’s okay it’s okay all right see you guys all right so guys first encounter with our local people I heard that H English might be a challenge here
Because most people they speak French and Kenya Randa which is the local language from here but let’s see how we’ll survive and also people are a bit shy you know I was talking to a lady in my hostel there and she was telling me that uh when people speak English they
Laughed at by their fellow rwandese people so so I don’t understand why they laugh at them they’re just trying to learn a language but that’s why people are a bit shy to speak English and probably shy to be on camera but guys this is the the streets the real streets
Of Rwanda Kali you can imagine it feels like this is like the good area but trust me it’s generally everywhere it looks this beautiful man anyways I haven’t seen much let me not H jump the gun and uh go above myself because you never know
Maybe it gets more more bad but I really doubt I am super super impressed all right guys so I’m going to be heading into downtown and uh it’s going to take me about an hour to go downtown and the good thing is I am going downhill so downhill is a bit
Easier than going uphill you know so let’s go and explore and uh see what’s good in Rwanda this is it my friends wow amazing so I’m trying to cross the road over into that side so I don’t know how it works here in Kigali if people respect The Pedestrian Crossing or not
But uh let us see let’s see if it’s possible but there’s no car so it’s hard to see yeah but look at how clean it is the roads are well painted everything is so well organized man and uh here we have some river flowing the natural water water water
Water guys this is Africa man this looks like some place in Europe you know oh Kali I love it I love it so much the thing is though here they’re very very strict there’s some rules which you might might not know about like for example you’re not allowed to film some
Spots it can land even problems you’re not allowed to film some people like there’s a guy who a lot of people doing videos about him they call him the monkey guy cuz he looks kind of like a monkey and uh a lady friend of mine filmed him and she was arrested and
Detained for 3 weeks here in Rwanda you know so I just need to be extra vigilant I know how things work man look at the greenery look at this so nice so dope what like it’s so so clean the entire place so green the roads well taken care
Of the Border borders so well behaved yeah man I just feel like it’s a lot of order a lot of you know a lot of good things and uh this is the beauty of uh Rwanda so so far guys my first impression of Pali Rwanda I really
Really love it h i don’t know how it is to video here at the YouTube space but I can get some looks here and there people wondering what’s happening with this guy talking to himself on camera you know but yeah that’s almost everywhere but uh I don’t think it’s such a big culture
Here also I was watching videos on YouTube from Kigali from Rwanda and in this country there’s no partnership program so all YouTube is ad free so they’re not allowed to put advertisements on YouTube so you just watch your videos with no ad Revenue yeah all right guys so we are almost
There let’s keep walking and seeing uh if we’re going to get into the city center and now we going up a hill cuz you know kigal is the land of a Thousand Hills so that is it me friends welcome to Kigali in Rwanda the capital city of
Rwanda and I’m excited for this country Kish my world I feel so good to film especially after coming from South Sudan where it was a headache and a menace but that’s life man it’s always ups and downs let’s enjoy wow guys look at Kali man look at
Kali yeah this is Rwanda my people this is Rwanda in its best the border border guys over here yeah look at the streets The Greenery the bikes the cleanliness I still haven’t seen anywhere where there is trash you know that’s the beauty of this country Kali or oh wow so anyways
I’m about to go to where I’m heading the city center is just 5 6 minutes away from here and uh I’m really enjoying the views but it’s a hard climb you know it’s a hard climb cuz it’s very very hilly it’s full of ups and downs but all
The same I I like it I’ve been enjoying my views and the weather is amazing look at the sun the clouds the sky yeah crazy oh here’s somebody who’s not too okay on this Street yeah anyways let’s see time to test my theory do people wait no they
Don’t yeah I guess I have to force my way yeah I think if you force your way then people they do wait but if you wait for them to stop still not yet European standards when it comes to that but man yeah this is amazing Kali is super super
Amazing uh I hope yeah you see they’re waiting like if you step on thead they do stop actually for you when the lights the things are green okay and this is like the transport the national buses over here as I see very very nice buses but they
Seem to be very full sometimes you know yeah that is it my friends all right I’m almost heading into downtown let’s go into downtown uh look for something to eat actually I’m getting lost I’m supposed to go this way my bad yeah we go and see if we can get something to
Eat in downtown and uh see what we can catch over here that is it my friends all right guys it seems as if now I have arrived into the Town Center the more busier parts of the city as you can see there’s like much more people around here much more Activity The
Border stands are here but nothing compared to kalala in Uganda that was the best you know yeah and you can see this is Kali man it’s still clean even here even though there’s a lot of people around and uh let’s go and explore this city let’s look for something to eat cuz
Now I’m super hungry and super super thirsty and explore the town and see how everything goes and see how they tingle man look at this place it’s so busy yeah but not too busy man as if you compare to places like Kali to cala it was much much more busy so I really
Don’t have an idea where I’m going I am just getting lost in this uh City and finding out things for myself so let’s go and see how everything go how the thing go here in Kigali Rwanda this is my first impressions man yeah so far so good I’m
Still impressed by the cleanliness the tidiness there’s H yeah let’s see if there’s like something we can get to eat something to drink I don’t even know where this road leads to but we go where the Masters go you know if you guys know where where I
Am H write down in the comment section what’s the area the name of the area that I’m in and what can I do I need I need your advice and I’m soon going to be meeting somebody who’s a local from here who will be showing me other places
But for now I’m going to do it solo one man one camera trying to understand the whole Vibes man okay let’s see so so nice so heilly so beautiful yeah this is it I don’t know how good the speakers the people here speak English maybe I’ll
Try and uh speak to some few people here and there and see but mostly in the restaurants is the best places also okay so let’s go down this hill there’s like some restaurant down there we can go and see how it is there’s zebra or pedestrian Crossing everywhere
I really like that and uh so far so good oh that’s kidali un I don’t know if they meant University or Universe I have no idea but it says Kali Universe over there okay I guess it’s the own Universe yes man wow I love the the stairs also
People are very curious wondering who is this Kenyan boy walking around talking to himself with a camera young man okay anyways let’s go inside this type of mall and see what’s good to see over there that is it my friends all right guys man I tried to
Look for local food but this fine restaurant over here doesn’t have any local food but I got some uh little recommendations to go and check out actually this is the bus park over here like the main bus Park uh and the buses over there go like to almost everywhere
In Kali and this is their local taxis but uh I don’t know man I don’t know I don’t know where to go very very straight Let’s cross the road over here and see if we can find some local food over here there that place they were only selling
Chips and burgers and uh tacos but I’m trying to find some authentic authentic African food in this place you know H this is the local bus bus stop here so it’s for the buses it’s like the bus stop for if you want to go to different
Plats of Kigali yeah this is the place to come and take the buses you know pretty interesting stop Yes man let me see if I can I can find out where my sister how are you you speak English a little bit H these buses where
Do they go I don’t know you don’t know you’re new here oh she’s new also here so I guess we both lost okay I’m trying to find out things about this are you from Ronda you are okay do you know where I can go and get food like local food yeah yeah
Yes where where do you know a place where I can get like some local food oh you should shy yeah wait tell me oh what food would you recommend that I eat s huh Sor you don’t know okay okay then see you can come with me I can we can eat
Together oh man she’s so shy and I’ve been told people here are really really shy but at least she told me there’s a place I can get some local food from down here but man it’s so true people in Kali they’re really shy especially if they don’t know you before they warm up
To you they’re very very shy and uh I mean that’s that’s it we just have to see yes ah here is something called Victoria rest restaurant I see they say buffet and good service African foods and fast foods okay let’s go and look at Victoria restaurant here if they have
Any African food I don’t know where the entrance is but let’s see this is the menu okay so guys I have found a local place to eat so it looks like it’s good food there local food and uh what is your name my name is ca ca
Yeah okay you know what CA means means yeah in Swahili what what does it mean like giving praise you know giving praise no yeah yeah yeah it means giving priz okay so what’s the local food here like local rwandese food in this menu what can you yeah uh like food from
Rwanda potato potato oh can you show me where they are in the menu cuz the menu is so huge so no Burgers no Burg no no no burger no Burger I want local African food African rues food yeah I want the Reales food yes yes Irish potatoes you said uh
Vegetable yeah uh beans yes okay you can mix everything up Irish potatoes beans vegetable you mix it up yes okay maybe I’ll have that it’s okay yes yes and uh and give me a a water water small uh give me menu is Chang huh menu is changed the menu has changed yes
Why water tomorrow is HK HK 800 yeah 800 yeah um big yeah okay no problem just give me give me the big one big water yes or the cheapest water is water leave me with this please let me check out the menu but the prices are not correct anyway
Okay cold or cold cold very very cold and start with the water please and then food later okay guys so I have a menu here which the prices is are not correct but whatever man yes but uh let’s see if the African food will
Be as African as I want them to be I’m a bit hungry so I only had breakfast today from my hostel they give you free free breakfast in the accommodation so our first meal actually is my second meal yesterday I had a quick chapati and beans but this is my official first meal
In Kigali Rwanda and this is the place where I am outside you can also see how the views look like and this is the main restaurant this is one of the ladies having so let the food come let’s enjoy and then we continue with our exploration that is
It okay enjoy the food is here maybe you can what do you call this in Kanda it’s called okay and this one and this one yeah Nim yeah okay and the means okay Nim yeah okay so guys this is the first rendes meal I’m having let’s see how it
Is you don’t have like a soup soup yeah I’m coming oh you’re coming okay it’s not finished okay okay Kish calm down calm down man I thought it’s too dry but apparently they serve it with soup so I jumped the gun take it easy Kish I think
Maybe I’m too hungry that I don’t realize okay let me see my food well I don’t know if I can wash my hands somewhere or I just use my handy sanitizer you know yeah man there’s no way I can find my a place to wash my hands here so I’m
Just going to use the hand sanitizer and I don’t want to leave my food unattended even though Kali is the most uh safe country on in Africa at least I’m clean fresh and clean wow guys let’s dig in to this local rwandese Cuisine the first meal in
H Rwanda let’s see how it is kishma World okay we start with the greens over here know wow it’s really traditional food really really like grown organic nmo the beans it’s good oh here’s the soup yes yes oh and you get this on dessert has a complimentary here’s the soup what soup
Is this meat with meat but there’s no meat inside no okay and this is pineapple yes okay fin out thank you okay uh my waitress is very very shy yeah she’s not used to the camera so guys I don’t know if you’ve seen the
Entire mle so let me just show it to you one more time in 3 minutes so this is the theate so it’s like a lot of green and I love colors in my food and there’s like all these colors in my food I feel like it’s really Fresh then we have the soup
Over here cuz it’s too dry and then we have the pineapple which they give you as dessert but if I’m not full I’m thinking I might order myself a a salad a food salad just to make it much much more tastier so this is the entire plate I think I’m going to be
Full and satisfied with this one yes man so amazing and the sweet potatoes you know this is is so much better than the other place that they were selling me burgers and fast food and all those things I want in Africa I have to eat very very well authentic homegrown
Food I love it okay so let me enjoy this Hefty meal then I don’t even know how much it costs then I’ll tell you guys the final prize and uh then we go and explore G that is it my friends h guys I am done and the meal was
Scrumptious it was amazing it was nice and uh let me drink some water then we call our girl and see how much it cost oh she’s coming coming in hot thank you yeah I’m finished I’m very satisfied it was real authentic R this food yeah yeah you this one for
You sorry I’m so sorry you to spill everything oh my gosh look at this ve this guy is making how much is it total 4,500 4,500 rwandese Shillings or Kenyan shillings Randa maang 4,500 yeah okay I pay you in cash or I pay you iay
There okay but I pay you I pay the counter I pay you okay yeah go and come no worries okay guys it’s been 4,500 R is Frank and the money here they call itang amanga so let’s see how much that is 4,500 man she’s spilled a lot and
It’s flowing towards me oh my gosh it’s coming towards me okay so that is about 3.5 us the it’s really really cheap and it was a heavy meal including drinks and actually the water is 1,500 and the total bill is 4,500 so that means the food was only
3,000 yeah it’s pretty cheap here the food was good but I must say the the P okay ah now it looks good yeah so I wanted to compare with the the ones from Uganda yeah oh no I’m sorry I’m talking to myself what your name my name is Kish okay thank you can
You say Kish Kish yeah Kish is me and me is Kish Kish my world so wait let me I have I have some points I need to get rid of actually they annoying me 3 four five okay this one is keep take all of them thank you for your extra yeah okay
Thank you thank you all right so guys as I was saying 4,500 for that heavy heavy meal it’s incredible including drinks so yeah man that is it and uh the pineapples were not as good to be honest they were not so sweet when I compare to
Like the one in Uganda the ones in Uganda were amazing the ones in Kenya are also very amazing but yes I did enjoy the rest of the meal very organic very healthy so it’s time to go and explore some more and I am thinking to go to the genocide Memorial right now so
I don’t know how far it is or when it closes but uh that’s one thing you have to do when you come to Kali visit the genocide Memorial all right let me see how far it is it’s only 1.4 km away basically yeah it’s about uh 40 minutes
Walking but I think I would rather take the Border okay let’s go see the genocide Memorial hopefully it’s still open and then our last thing we do today is we change money that is it my friends so let’s go and explore and see what you can see but first impressions remember
It’s my first day outside first time I love it so far so good people told me it’s really expensive but it’s really not expensive to be honest yeah all right this is it my world Kish my world let’s go all right guys so I was trying
To exchange some money but I didn’t get the mafang I was looking for so now I want to go to the Memorial Park directly before the sun goes down and uh that fine lady told me I can come back and she have the money that I need so to go
To Memorial she also told me it’s about 1,000 rwandese Franks to go there so that’s that was nice so let’s see if this guy can take us there yeah my friend how are you I want to go to Memorial H genocide Memorial yes you know it uh seven huh
Seven no seven why are you trying to increase the price because I’m speaking English okay guys in Rwanda you have to wear your your helmet right is requirement by the government okay yeah you have to wear your helmet and uh then we go to the
Memorial Park man oh I don’t know how to wear this it’s like this can you tie it for me here man this is new stuff for me you know so I’m trying to understand how everything works here okay it’s okay yeah okay guys let us go to
Memorial yes and uh this is the yes my friend you’re very curious the people are very curious when they see me with a camera but you know it’s all good it’s not common eh it’s not common for people to be YouTubers here okay so we’re going to go to the
Memorial Park and of course we use the best and quickest means of Transport it’s not too far from here it’s like 5 6 minutes 7 maximum depending on traffic yes and uh I know it’s an emotional place so I hope everything goes good but yeah guys welcome to Kigali Rwanda okay
That is it or you call it TIG yeah the local name is Chi yeah man nice area we do it the local Way so here we’ve hit some traffic yeah it’s traffic light but the lights are working really well there’s a countdown over there the motorcycle guys are here yes my friend yeah the motorcycle guys are also here doing their thing but it’s not like Cala this one is much much Better at Memorial oh yeah this one I almost forgot thank you yes so guys in Randa it’s mandatory to wear a helmet even where you’re going and it’s only two people in the motorcycle not more than two people that’s nice I like the rules here you
Know very very well okay let’s pay the guy and then we go in and this is the entrance of the Kali genocide Memorial man that is where we are going do I have money or not no MAF okay yes so the ride cost 700 to come
From downtown here and the same way back and this is a Kali money okay all right thank you yeah okay so guys we’re here and there’s a lot of tourists also coming in I can see but I know it’s not allowed to film inside there so I won’t
Give you everything but I’ll give you a nice description of how everything works around here but yes this is it the genocide Memorial and this is the main entrance here so let’s hope everything goes well according to plan and uh last entry at 4:00 p.m. so we have time okay
Cuz it’s now about 3:00 all right guys that is it Let’s cross over go through security and see the genocide Memorial I know it’s going to be an emotional time here cuz I’ve had people come here and they shed tears they break down so let’s hope for the best Gish my world all
Right guys so here I am I’ve arrived at the memorial uh let’s go and see how it is it’s a beautiful day so we here on time so let’s go and look for the entrance I’ll tell you how much it costs to get in and uh what you’re allowed to
Do or not do I hope they’ll give me instructions ahead so I don’t film something that’s not supposed to be filmed yeah because I know sometimes they can be strict about these type of things you know and then after that H I know inside for sure there’s no filming
It’s and it’s also true graphic but uh has been through a lot so let’s see what the memo Memorial has to offer guys Kish my world I think there’s a lot of people as you can see here the parking is so full and uh that is it my friends Peace
Center okay let’s go in and then if I’m not allowed to film anymore I’ll see you guys when I come back outside all right and this is the reception area and I like how nice and beautiful it looks already so reception Kish my world let’s
Go all right guys so a quick quick uh intro about the place you know H this is the Kali genocide Memorial as you can see remembering and learning that is what the place is all about looks really nice and beautiful so I’ve just been given a brief about this place they
Looks really good so actually entrance here is by donation so you just donate whatever you want so there’s no really entrance being charged but you can if you want an audio guide you can get it for 20 uh us but I’d rather donate that money than getting the audio guide to be
Honest so before we go in it’s not allowed to film inside the actual Memorial but over here outside in the green area and in the places you can film freely it’s not a problem and uh we’re going to start with a short film of 9 9 minutes
That explains the overview so if you guys never knew what happened in in Rwanda there was a huge genocide for 90 days or 3 months where a lot of people died and it was an internal conflict a civil war between the Hutu hutus and the tosis which are
The biggest tribes here in Kigali and they slaughtered each other so bad you know so that’s what we’re going to learn about we’re going to see about where the graves were how the people were you know what they went through and everything and it’s an emotional one but let’s see
I’m going to give you the overview of everything so if you don’t know about the genocide in Rwanda you can Google about it it’s a quick quick YouTube search or even a Google search you’ll see everything that you need yeah man that is it so I’m just going to wait
Here for a while and then we’re going to go and start watching the film cuz we need to be a lot for 9 minutes it’s not allowed to film inside the memorial but it’s allowed to film outside here in the grounds so that is it my friends let’s
Go and uh just enjoy I don’t know if we’ll enjoy but let’s go and suffer yeah cuz it was a lot of atrocities that happened in this area wow guys very very emotional yeah I just left the main exhibition Hall behind me there and it’s really sad what happened it’s crazy
Crazy world funny how humans can be such animals to fellow human beings man you could see how people were literally butchered murdered tortured they raped you name it there even a kids section kids as young as 8 months 15 months 2 years 5 years they were literally hacked
To death just for being the wrong ethnic community and 1 million people lost their lives just because of some foolishness people thinking they are you know Superior than others man so on the left here it’s the wall of names and the other side is the Open Grave so I think
We go to the open grave and see where more people were buried cuz this is like a burial site also to 250,000 victims of the genocide who survived in this place so I don’t know if it is uh Straight Ahead or the other side but yeah guys
When you come in here it’s really emotional you hear the stories of survivors how people like they watched their entire family get butchered like people just came with machetes and they hacked them and kill them without even showing concern or anything yeah man it’s really really really sad uh and
This was just in 1994 yeah because of thinking they are One race is superior to another like human beings are just up sorry to say yeah anyways this is some of the you see people are still laying flowers here just to just to remember what happened
Up to this day and it’s very important I think these are Graves over here that you can see cuz it’s supposed to be 250 50 Graves of surviv of of people who lost their lives sorry not survivors and this is like part of it and it’s
Important if you have a chance man come to visit this Memorial cuz humans need to learn one thing or two avoid the history because you know history has a tendency of repeating itself so so as to avoid a repeat of what happened in this beautiful country visit the genocide
Memorial okay let me just make my exit from from here now then we continue with our tour of Kigali so guys I’m having a small tour of this area in Kigali and uh it is named as the safest and the cleanest city in Africa man and yeah no doubt it
Is actually yeah man so I’m just being shown around here you know I remember I saw do you know whataya yeah yeah I saw him sitting on such a g and eating some food and that video went viral yeah so now I’m seeing for myself like how clean
It really is you know yeah do they clean like every day the streets here yeah yeah yeah they have a regular cleaners regular cleaners yeah paid by the government yeah every morning every morning they have to swim Duty yeah and or if you’re walking in the streets here
And you drop some litter can you be arrested if they like if some they police cut you not yeah yeah no no they will they will tell you to take it to the dust beans okay you see some dust beans alongside the load yeah oh but generally it’s a culture of people to
Keep the city clean yeah so they don’t even need to be told no no okay wow that’s good that they actually have the discipline to do it by themselves I like it and uh what are you not allowed to film here just because I’m walking around and I heard some
People have been arrested also for filming some places you know uh like sound I don’t know yeah like maybe government a street in a street you can feel anywhere yeah if if it’s restri restricted they have uh this post okay they showing you that okay okay no it’s
Not allowed to film oh okay so it’s just about looking where you’re not supposed to film yeah but mostly for some private private spaces yeah you can film just like that okay you need to have some special but like for example here in the streets is no problem I can just walk
And film and nothing is going to happen okay cuz you know I was in South Sudan man and it was not funny there filming or anything you know that stuff oh that’s a speed camera yeah yeah wow so it’s regulated even in speed this is the first speed camera I’ve seen
In Africa to be honest wow they are everywhere everywhere yeah so what’s the speed limit it depends on uh on the press okay sometimes 60 yeah sometimes 80 ah so if you go faster than that the camera Chuck immediately yeah you get fine you get a
Fine yeah is it only for vehicles or even motorcycles even motorcycle oh so even then if they over speed same wow that’s amazing that’s why it’s so safe and I see everybody has to wear a helmet in a border it’s only two people maximum in Kali you in kalala you could
Even be four people in one border can’t be here yeah no is it possible amazing man this is the Africa we want this is what we talk about when we say we need an evolving Africa this is a perfect example but I don’t know is the
Education free or do you for it here in Randa you should be sponsored by by yourself by government but but regularly you pay okay you pay otherwise yeah yeah okay you should have a sponsor government has some student supports for their studies yeah okay but this a private university
It’s public it is a private private okay yeah ah and what about Healthcare do you pay for your own hospital or is it the government we have uh we have insurance insurance local Insurance you pay like a like a 5% 95% by government okay but must you be working or it’s for
Everybody it’s for every every citizen of R okay yeah every city is supposed to pay that uh Insurance yeah yeah wow so how much do you pay like as a premium no it depends on your on your income on your income yeah yeah but mostly they we pay 300 per person uh
3,000 3,000 uh 3,000 per person Franks no no Franks Franks okay per month or per year per year yeah per year yeah wow 3,000 that’s really cheap yeah wow so and then you can go to a public hospital if you’re sick and you get treated yeah oh this is the future
Man this country is the future of Africa everything is working the way it should and uh would you say the cost of living is high or it’s low here in h in dep on your income yeah but generally generally do you think people are saying life is tough or
It’s like okay yeah it’s high it’s high yeah okay what if if you would compare it to a country like like Uganda and here where do you say is more expensive he is more expensive than more expensive okay but maybe there’s more job opportunities here also yeah yeah yeah yeah okay
Definitely and there is almost no corruption here it’s very limited yeah yeah okay it’s a very limited very Li limited yeah what happens to the corrupt do they go to jail immediately immediately no no jokes even in law levels or just in government levels anyone
Yeah so if like you meet a police here and they arrest you for nothing and they demand for a bribe yeah yeah if you report them they are also taken down from service immediately wow man this is this is the future this is the future this is the local bus stop
Over here and this is the like 311 that one goes to the main bus stop you said no not to the main bus stop 311 you said it goes to so the bus STS are here and then you use your card if you want to go in they
Call it stop and go so you just stop then you go yes man this is Kali man so beautiful and this is a Driving School area so guys are practicing to ride motorbikes you know forklifts Vans Vehicles so this is a training area all controlled and just to make sure you have everything
And it’s quite expensive to get a license here it’s not cheap paying for for license or paying for your studies uh everything like your studies then after your studies you get the license you go for the exam not too expensive yeah yeah like how much for example in
Franks right pay paying for your license if you want need for it yeah it’s 50,000 maybe yeah if I’m sure I’m not sure sure something like that yeah yeah but paying for your driving for your driving school no driving driving school yeah it cost you like uh 1,50 100 for a
Month okay yeah and okay so like total how much would everything cost you until you have your license in hand 250 200 USD it can be fine okay 200 USD yeah two 200 usds and you get your your driving license and if you misbehave in traffic can they take away your license
And then you have to do it again no okay there’s no that punishment and guys look this is it they show you like the speed you can see it says like 60 km hour and if you they said speed camera ahead so if you go beyond 60 the cameras will nap
You and you know there’s no corruption in this country so if they cut you you have to pay the price you have to get a fine can you also get prison time if you don’t pay the the fine no they will take your your your your car your car or your
Or your bike okay and because all license plates are registered by the government you can’t escape no yeah what a system you go home and keep it yeah they they can’t come and take it yeah but they have your number oh okay they should call you they can call you and
Tell you you have a f after yeah and how much would you say is a fine for over speeding how much would you pay for example if you know 5,000 25,000 uh Franks nice that’s really nice so basically Road accidents here very limited sorry Road accidents here is
Very limited not a lot of Road accidents it’s because of the control yeah man guys this is Africa why don’t we all adopt the same thing Kenya what are you waiting for because in Kenya it’s a very nice developed country but people are driving like crazy they’re overs
Speeding they’re driving drunk do people drive drunk here we have Al taste anyway yeah alcohol alcohol below everywhere and if they cut you you’re in problems if you’re drunk driving they we they will even P your your your your car yeah if they catch you yeah driving and you
Are drunk yeah they will park your car uhh you it to the police office station you you have they arest you maybe 15 days yeah wow all that yeah man this country is amazing I think I want to move to Rwanda now yeah I’m tired of H of
Kenya we need new laws you see like this guy they they have to take two bikes because they two people even three bikes now because you cannot be two people in one motorcycle like such small laws and they change the entire country and that’s the
Way it should be man you must be very happy to be rues yeah yeah yeah cuz you’re like in the best you’re in the best country in Africa you know so if you travel other countries in Africa man you’ll be so so surprised and you’ll be very very happy that you’re in
One of the best countries here really really amazing this country is doing even better than for example some parts like in Italy you know Italy people think it’s all por and everything but it’s not as strict as here some things are just like you know it’s very
Dirty also if you go like to Rome if you walk in the streets like this you can see so much trash you know and that’s Europe but here in Rwanda man so far so good maybe I’m still new but I haven’t seen anything so far that’s really disappointing me so Randa big up
Yourself and look at the sunset over there man the horizons up the mountains very beautiful nature oh it’s so amazing the only thing is people here are really shy I don’t think there’s a lot of vloggers coming to walk in the streets with their cameras not not many yeah people are
Very very camera shy and they’re afraid oh this is the bus yeah yeah okay down see okay there yeah it says Downtown there yeah downt and this is an electric bus actually no it’s not it looks electric some electric this is a okay or maybe a
Hybrid yeah but it’s new it’s new yeah looks really really dope look at this man so 303 takes you downtown yeah yeah okay so guys if you want to go downtown this is the bus to take and you said it cost like all like maybe 200 Franks yeah look at this
Beauty and it’s so ped man people are up there still up yeah man and those are the buses that we also have in Europe so I’m telling you Kali Rwanda is just a small Europe in Africa one of the best best places I’ve visited you know so big
Up yourself and the weather is amazing okay guys the rainbow is out in Kigali this must be a good sign when you see the the rainbow out like this it means Kish my world is welcome in Kali Rwanda wow love it so much anyways I’m going to
I’m in downtown now I need to go and change some money then H we’ll end the video after that yes so I’m still very very impressed and all right guys so I am back in my beautiful accommodation and I love this outdoor sitting area you know it’s like
My my area you know I’m living in this room rooms behind me here but I am the only guest I am a bit wet cuz it’s been shivering so I am the only guest here and it’s supposed to be a shared room you know with uh some other people but
Nobody has checked in since yesterday and tonight I see I’m also all alone so it’s like I have the private room for myself and I’m only paying 15,000 a night that’s an equivalent of about $10 per night including breakfast and all these facilities like swimming is included vol ball is included there’s
Like a bowling alley over here there’s like a what is it called a pool table it’s amazing but uh it can get a bit noisy at night because it’s also like uh open to the public to come and get some drinks and listen to some music but it’s
Nothing that I can’t handle you can just sleep through it and I like it anyways guys that has been my first experience or first impressions of Kali it’s been amazing man this city has really mind blown me um like it’s my blown me for
Real and I love it so much just a recap of the things that really stood out first of all I am very very tempted to say it’s my favorite country in Africa yes I very very much tempted to say so and I think I dare say so it’s my
Favorite country in Africa although I am still new so I don’t want to judge too early but so far First Impressions have been amazing man I really love it guys the motorbikes they have speed limit you know how motorbike bike drivers are crazy not in Kali not in Rwanda there’s
Like speed cameras and they govern both bikes and they govern cars drunk driving as you were told do not D drive drunk here they’ll put you in for 15 days and you’ll pay a hefty fine and there’s always control with brazers so Road Safety is definitely on point the
Motorbikes you cannot ride two more than one person is the driver and you that is it and everybody has to have a helmet I’ve never seen that anywhere else in Africa even if you four people they’ll put you in there it’s all about making the bu here is very very well controlled
And also the bikes they’re e eco-friendly it’s not just any rusty old bike you can take and start riding there’s a driving school for driving motorcycles cars any type of vehicle ala foron you can’t just hop into any car and start doing business like in other parts including my own country Kenya
Which is like the most developed country in Eastern Africa Kenya man you need to pull up your socks with all these rules the roads there’s no Port holes no P holes on the roads they’re very very smooth very nice very fine oh my gosh where do I even start how do I even
Continue guys the roads are well marked late well late like the structures are amazing did I mention Security man it’s so safe it’s so secure you can leave your phone like on that table and just go somewhere and come back you’ll find your phone there nobody will touch your
Belongings or anything because the repercussions are too too much if you’re CAU committing crimes so it’s like people are well very well disciplined I asked my tour guide the guy I met about littering because there’s lit trash cans everywhere you actually don’t get even a f for littering but nobody litters it’s
In the culture to take care of the environment they’ve been brought up and trained to do that and a man I really I really love it man I guys I don’t know if you can feel the excitement on my face it’s so clean the streets are so clean the gutters are so clean
Everywhere you go it’s like sparkling clean they always cleaning there’s ining routines there’s people taking care of business taking care of man Rwanda it’s so amazing electricity electricity does not disappear you know like in some countries like in Uganda in South Sudan electricity would just boom disapp even in Kenya sometimes electricity blackouts
With no warnings no nothing they just disappear nope not in this country if electricity blackout happen you have a case to answer like the people of the power have a case to answer you can imagine public transportation is regulated so you don’t even have to pay with cash like in every
Other country in Africa you’ve been to which is like very bad they have the European system where you use a card and it’s like tap and go man where do I begin safety you can walk at night in the middle of the night 4:00 a.m. 5: a.m. whatever time you want right now
There’s a restriction about uh clubs they close at 1:00 p.m. just because they said the government said the people are drinking too much so they’re trying to you know restrict that but it’s okay man it’s good control what else man what else like it’s one of the best countries you could
Ever live in everybody told me that the only thing they said which is like on the down low is just keep politics out of your mouth then just be a law abiding citizen and you will enjoy this beautiful country with no stress at all also I found it it’s quite a cheap
Country it’s not expensive at all not like I had thought yes the money is not too strong I just exchanged anything I exchanged $100 Us the official rate on the website or on Forex Bureau and wherever in the international rate it says is 1,280 but when I went to exchange it on
The black market or whatever they gave me 130 so I got 13,400 us so I even got a higher exchange than the official exchange it’s crazy man I got like 2,000 more extra which I used to pay for my border to come home it’s so cheap man I love it
So enough of me guys thank you for watching the video till now H this has been my first impressions of kigal Rwanda the beautiful land of a Thousand Hills the most safe country in Africa the cleanest country in Africa the most organized country in Africa my gosh I
Love it so much and I’m just so in love with it first impressions the weather has been amazing you know H the people are a bit shy but I hope they’ll warm up I’m going to try and uh talk some more locals H the ones I’m trying to talk to
Are a bit camera shy or they don’t know they because they don’t speak English so they a bit you know hiding uh but we’ll see if they’ll warm up oh I forgot to mention the internet speeds Hallelujah uploading my video takes like 20 30 minutes and it’s like a 21 GB
Video man the upload speeds are to die for the download speeds are awesome I mean what’s the what’s the what’s the problem what’s the problem yeah guys what’s the problem with this country where do they go wrong all right thanks guys for watching this video so
Far till this point I am really really really amazed and I can’t wait to explore this beautiful country go outside the city you know go to you know the outside of Kali also and to see how things are how things run things don’t run we I’m happy guys I’m happy really
Happy so guys top morning Kish my world thanks for watching the video up to this point and see you tomorrow in from Rwanda Kali that is it my Friends
Finally made my way to the beautiful city of Kigali the capital of Rwanda. This was my very first day in the city and I was super excited but did not have a clue of how beautiful and organised and clean this city really is. The laws here that govern the country are amazing and this makes it in my opinion one of the best cites in the entire Africa.
Toppa di morning
