And they were like what should we do today and they were like we might go to um ches Roes they said which is about an hour away from them and I like oh I want to go to ches RS but it’s three-hour drive from us from the lodge so we W

Going to go there and I like maybe there’s an outlet in the middle of us both cuz they live more down South we live here on the east coast and um Nick came up with a outlet in the East Midlands quick battery change there the battery ride so Nick came up with an

Outlet in the East Midlands I don’t know what it’s called I’ll tell you when we’re on as we it’s about 1 hour 50 drive for us and about an hours drive for Trac Neil and Faith so we’re going to go and meet me them um kind of in

Between for both of us going to have a little mooch a little shop and um just enjoy the day with some nice friends right we’re in the car we’ve been going for about an hour actually we’ve got 49 minutes to go Tracy and Neil are about 10 minutes ahead of

Us we’re just about to get on the M18 um so I think we’re going to do a little bit of shopping trying to get us steps up of course we are that’s why we go to an outlet well yeah I know but we actually started out we just were doing

Some walking well no we we actually going to go to dri field and just do a walk we I had planned a 7.6 mile walk maybe we’ll do that tomorrow that tomorrow cuz it’s going to be sunny tomorrow as well yeah we’ll do that tomorrow um and we don’t have to go home

This week we’ve got nothing planned to go home for we have to go home on Sunday for Mother’s Day and um then we have to be back to get the car sorted out the van sorted out the following week and then the two weeks after that then we

Have to get the wrap done so hopefully how long is it going to be in the garage next week well not next week but two days 3 days oh we can try it finally we go somewhere I pr I don’t know why but I’m a bit anxious about doing it I want to

Get the thing is I want to have it perfect no well we’re not waiting for it wrapping we’re going before we go on the road we’re just going I guess we’re trying it then so as long as he gets it sorted and we get this drive belt noise

Sorted as well as it does the um pump and stuff before we go we need to get used to that toilet know what chemicals we’re putting in I know exactly how it works we put the sachet in the sump the you show me as well I need to know what

I want say that you need about six sheets per wipe and just a nice conversation we’re having on the Vlog these are the kind of things that we’re going to have to think about we get into the van life is going to change yeah we’ll be we’ll be like 2 miles from the

Lodge and he’ll be like I need a PO let’s go back and I’m we’re going to be thinking about water constantly like take the shower off quick while I wash my bits the thing is right when we were in the van with the kids we said at the

Time that water becomes like a precious commodity and that we were like trying to conserve it I mean we’re not going to drive around with 100 lers of water in the tank it’s just not it’s just not cost effective to drag 100 kilo of weight around um but like I said on the

Other the last vog or the ear on this Vlog we’re still factoring that in that in we’re still factoring the water in as part of the the payload weight even though we’re never ever going to drag it around so it’s always that’s our bit of

Still an hour minutes we’re in uh a 30 mph on the m62 going over G bridge going over gbridge these Road Works have been here years since probably almost as long as we’ve had the lodge seven years they’ve been doing this bridge trying to reinforce it for that just rebuilding

The s in thing so every time we goes like leads way back to the apartment and then have to come back this way to go over this these Road Works 50 mph then down to 30 mph anyway that was just random moan about the road works really

So um there we go heading back to the lodge got a bit of work to do got some finish edit I did get I got something from the outlets I’ll show you when we get back we were the only people that bought something yeah which is surprising Tracy didn’t buy anything she

Usually loves a little purchase or two um I just got a hoodie and I got some pants I got some pants half price pants Lev I pants yeah it was buy one get 50% off anything in the Levi store I got hoody so ni as I’ll get some then so um

He got some pants nice uh sun going down back there just nicely ched away behind that cloud look at the look at the Rays coming out the back of the cloud everything reflective on the horizon is like flashing back we’re back oh that drive took what

Felt like twice as long to get back than it did to get there I’ve got I’ve got headache now as well it felt really quick for me yeah cuz you na most of it um right Le’s making tea we’re just have a filthy tea we’re just going to have um

Beans on toast um with sausages hin ones as well not my favorite I like the cheap beans better and then what we doing the rest of the night now um well what time is it going to try me pants on that I bought oh I’ll show you my top as well

It’s Quast 7 so it’s just chill time maybe might have a glass of wine I’ve not had a glass of wine for months beans on toast and wine you’re cold no your hands are freezing i’ got smack in it get some water down here well that’s probably it actually

Top story lines was about Star Trek Next Gen like oh my God who’s died come here I thought one of them had died but it was just a random story about um what about it a band episode which episode were talking about the reunification of Island and it would just oh BBC never

Read never read for some reason it were like a top story that they were just discussing and it showed a picture of Patrick Stewart and Brent spanner were like oh my god of died it it was the episode um I forgot what it’s was called now it just the hunted where bever Crush

Gets abducted yes that was it the BBC never showed it I remember that cuz I remember thinking how the hell am I going to see this episode so that were random I’m not been on BBC today yeah it’s one of top staries on BBC news for some reason how strange yeah very

Strange um so we got I saw it at a convention instead and then on DVD Nick went to Star Trek convention when he was younger before he met me I’ve always fany going to a Star Trek convention I need to look it up there’s a Star Trek

Cruise actually I saw it on um yeah 2,000 per person for an inside cabin £8,000 for a uh a suite or a balcony and it’s got literally the entire cast of all the modern Star Trek series not the old series they’re all going to be on it

You but you get to talkon for that kind of money I’ll just see him in a in a in a imagine you get see him you’re on you’re on a boat aren’t you so imine I don’t I doubt you’ll go down to Buffy with them and have have food with them

And stuff like that got to eat so we’ve got 25 minutes left of this film to watch I’ve got a smacking headache just no don’t tap it just tickle welcome to the next day forgot to show you what I got from the um designer outlets yesterday so East Midlands designer

Blue hoodie Levis quite like that just while it’s sort of cold still and winter spring um and then I was looking around for some else cuz it was 50% off but Nick says well I want some so he got some bring your Levis purches to show he’s getting ready uh so that’s

What we got so he you’re squawking it’s a beautiful sunny day so we are going to go out and do that walk what where you oh just show them what we got from the um thingy no we don’t want to see your pants on Nick got some Levi pants

They’re on that’s what we got yesterday big tight Jesus Christ well I’ll have them with the two tight for you cuz I’m a little bit Slimmer than you um no but when they’ve washed those slen up we were the only they’re holding everything quite firm we were the only people that

Got anything yesterday um like there which was quite a surprise um so um I do need to go back out today again because I completely forgot that I don’t have any wrapping paper before my Mother’s Day at presents you want to do this walk

Today why not cuz we need to fit the fly screen in the van or at least attempt to well I can do that as well um there’s lots to do today and before we finish this Vlog Nick is going to take you outside actually and um can’t I can’t

Morning I think she was called Tracy Tracy Kershaw I think she was called um so I said we’d film it today because we we fitted them and then we’ll busy doing something else and we never went back to it did we well we didn’t film it went

Into garage and and they got feared yeah so um we thought they were going to be a lot lighter than they are but they were light they are lighter than the the tires that were on there but not we saved cuz like I said I’ve got a Weight

Tracker that keeps a track on all the stuff that we’re putting in we saved about 6 and 1/2 kilos from swapping the metal trims to the allies um there’s no difference on there’s no difference on road road noise we haven’t actually um changed the tires yet we

Didn’t want to change the tires because there’s lots of tread on them and one of them is brand new anyway and they’re absolutely fine for going around the UK probably fine for Europe to be honest but the car garage recommended that we get new tires for going around sort of

Europe but um we also need to go and pick up another Amazon parcel today which is um it’s an electrical cable for the for Europe I believe it’s it’s the U EU Continental hookup adapter to convert the three pin in the UK to the two pin

In Europe we might not ever need it cuz a lot of campsites over there do support UK pins as well as EU pins but it only cost like six quid so I’ll got one anyway and’ll go in one of those draws that I fitted if you know the answer to

That let us now right just putting my shoes on I’m just having a rest actually I’m just talking to the Disney wives on WhatsApp and Tracy Neil um so um just a bit of an update on the cameras um that we put in on a few Vlogs back they’re

Absolutely amazing they have like I said before they have this people vehicle and animal sensors and it picked up this animal at the back of the lodge a couple of nights ago it looked across I mean we’ll put some footage on the screen now it was across between a fox and a deer

And it only had one leg and it was it was the size of a small dog it was weird anyway we had no idea what it was and we sent it to our friend Lisa who’s got a LOD on here and she says oh it’s a did

She say it was a munja munat or mun something like that we’ never heard of it anyway we Googled it and it looked just like it but this this poor thing only had uh one leg we’ll we’ll put a picture of the video on screen now we’ll put the video on

Screen now just so you can have a look what it looks like see if you guys can identify it we’ve we see Di around here all the time but we’ve never seen anything like that time to show you guys the Alloys so we got this from a company

Called Rogue Alloys which seems to be the provider for all the um Alloys for camper van conversions it’s the only company that I’ve seen um and I was speaking to them on Instagram for weeks guarding tire sizes and things like that for VW crafters and sprinters so here we

Go so it’s upside down at the minute but it’s Rogue alloy um you can get them with like this bit Chrome which I think I’m probably it’s like a plastic cap on there so I may end up just spraying that silver just to give it a bit of a more

More Decor but um yeah they’re quite solid um well obviously the solid the metal but um yeah we like them I mean these need need these need blacking with with like paraffin paint that you put onto black tires and once they deal they’ll match up and then when we

Obviously we had the paintwork and the trims done but um there’s a lot of soap around the tires at the minute where it’s fitted them and these were the these were pretty cheap there was 175 a tire um they do collect water in these like rims here

But they have little these little Chrome caps on as well I’ll just show you around the other side here we go they all look they pretty much the same but I think these were 175 a tire like I said uh they do have some that are like 300 400 but we went for

The lightest just to keep everything nice and simple and obviously costs makes a difference as well but um ignore the geese sring in the background right so in the next Vlog we are going out for a walk we’re going to do that first we’re going to do the walk we have to

Get the 2 and 1/ half hours 7.6 mile walk cut it down to 1 and a half hours we’ have to walk up the fields then but then we’re no no I don’t want Fields I don’t want myy well just we somewhere um right when we were in Wales um we picked

Up well the guy dropped it off actually at Bob’s house so we’ve been talking to this guy that runs this company for quite a while he helped us with the the shower door in the uh van yeah uh help with installing it and things like that

And he basically said oh when you when you’re in the area let me know and I’ll get you a universal bug screen now this is the version two of it because apparently version one the holes in it were enough to let Midas through in Scotland but they’ve enhanced it now the

Problem we’ve got and he gave us these so thank you for that um his named Reese by the way the problem we’ve got we midges in Scotland yeah well there’s no PL to go to Scotland at the minute yeah there is well maybe at some point so

This is like a big um f screen big fly screen that goes on the side door the problem is it needs the rubbers on the trim to come off now I didn’t know this when we met when we built the van so our rubbers are hidden behind um wooden

Paneling so we can’t get behind the rubbers so there’s no way we’re going to be able to tuck this in is this for the side door this is for the side door the back door I think we could I think we’ll be able to install it on that so it’s

Like a and there’s one for there’s one for the back door as well we need to look at this today and work out before we obviously set off on any Journeys how we’re going to do it so this is the inside of the van M so if

You imagine your door cuz some siiz Vans cuz this one will fit hold on this will fit uh Med wheel base and long wheelbase um crafters and sprinters which is what this is for so the height and the width obviously will change depending on which van you’ve got and then you’ve got the

Fly screen bit in the middle and then you’ve got this reflective um back sheet so as far as the outside concerned they’ll just see that and this inner section here will be unzipped and rolled up tight into these clips at the top the problem is you’ve

Got to tuck this into the wood into the rubber trims around the door and all our Trims on the top and down the side are all boxed in and hidden how the Fig we’re going to do that then I don’t know so my my current theory is we either put

Puppets on the wooden batons M and cut it to fit the batons yeah that’s not a bad idea or um we take the rubbers off which I really don’t fancy do them because if they come off and we can’t get them back on we’re going have fan leaks so I don’t do that

Or we look at um screwing maybe the poppet into the into the rubber and through the metal but if it’s just a one if it’s just a thin piece of metal it’s going to breach the the the water the water type barrier if it’s like an arched thing where the rubbers go around

Like a bent piece of metal and you need to have a look at the van to see how it works we can screw it in either side then it won’t protrude the other side or we use velcro or something like that but sticking velcro into rubber I tied that

The other day with the Alexa in the bathroom and that didn’t work so I don’t really know how we’re going to do it it may mean that we just keep keep the side door shut and in the summer in the summer and we keep the back doors open

Where we can fit it on a yeah yeah that’s that’s not bad because the back door hasn’t been touched there’s nothing around the frame so we can fit it on that but we have to take it out there and kind of hold it up and see what ideas we’ve got and at

The minute I’ve really no idea so that will be in the next Vlog so current plans are we’re going to go out for a walk get our steps up because when we were um shopping yesterday we only did 3,000 steps so we need to get steps up

Today trying to go for 10,000 a day yeah if I don’t do it I get on a treadmill but last night after we just got back from um the shopping thing we just had tea and then but oh we’ve watched the rest of that film The Day After Tomorrow

Um which was good we’ve seen it a lots of times so have you got Disaster Movie have you yeah I do actually let’s watch another one tonight should we watch um the car or Deep Impact I’d rather have deep impact the rubbish or Armageddon yeah I like Armageddon we’ll watch

Armageddon benlick yeah yeah um so have you got it planned out where we’re going to watch walk yes we’re going to walk we’re going to go drive to driffield don’t let me forget some tight I love them we’re going to go to driffield uh we’re going to walk to nepheron and then
