Hey good morning I think this is day 9 uh I’m just in a little village called Keo SEO something like that in uh the center of France just heading up towards melon today uh Mulan melon and uh yeah forecast be a really nice warm day but

It looks like it’s going to be wet from about 700 tonight until about 8: tomorrow morning so I might if I feel like it I might stop in a in this cheap cheap hotel tonight because yeah I just can’t be bothered sitting in a very

Small tent if I don’t have to uh cheap hotel might cost me35 so yeah may do that um but the bike’s ready behind me and I’m going to head off down on the Euro 3 euroo 3 is the pilgrim route goes from northern Norway down to uh Spain uh so I’m hoping

That’s going to be a bit better than the canal route that I tried to take yesterday it goes along the same canal and then into the river Lo Ling Lo long long put it on the screen uh goes along that River into uh past font blur and

Onto the sand so uh I’m going to go that way today um probably about 80 km yeah looking forward to That So I got about 10K into this and I had to stop take my jumper off it’s so warm really really humid as well beautiful absolutely gorgeous love it yeah 10K and there’s a sign there that says Nur is about 20K so I’m going to stop there for a coffee and then move on Just coming up on this look the uh managed part of this Waterway is falling down the hill rather than climb coming up it which is lovely and it’s really nice to cycle along the perfect Surface There’s an enormous boat sliding into that lock can only just fit I mean it’s CM each side I suppose they’re built for it and they know how to uh do it but yeah amazing see looks a bit Tight Okay so I’m in Nur and I think I’ve uh managed to entirely bypass the town and ended up at this lock where the cafe the other side’s actually closed uh so I’m going to head off along the river towards melon and uh see if I can find a bench make some coffee All right out of namur and on to melon I’m trying to find myself a bench now there was nothing open in any of the uh spots by the canal there so I’m on the long river now heading North For For CX reflex D the patina on that paint is absolutely brilliant just looks fantastic what a Car I’m getting closer to the sa now you can tell because the boats are just getting larger much larger they’re not Little River Cruisers anymore they’re uh former commercial shipping fantastic to see all liver board I Think This is the first real glimpse of the scene it’s uh industrial it’s just a great big industrial site I decided to carry on for a little bit it was a bit sketchy back there bit industrial bit of a mess um so there’s another Village in about 3 km where I’m going to stop and have some lunch get my bearings sort things out I’ll do some shopping this

Afternoon prepare for tomorrow it’s Sunday tomorrow wet Sunday as well um so I just want to get everything ready so I can ride into Paris and to the campsite and stay for the stay for the Sunday evening and uh do some stuff in Paris on Monday so yeah just looking for my lunch

Spot [Applause] Okay had my lunch still enjoying cycling through the font and blur Forest this is about 70k today so far just got a little bit further to go get out the forest and then head off to do my Shop Just coming into Mulan now and uh you stop up here and find out exactly where I’m going this cycle route the surface is very poor really bad there’s some multi-million pound houses just to my left and the road is Dreadful utter Rubbish so I’m just following the toe path route or the former Toe Path route I don’t can ever tow anything down the scene again it’d have to be another boat um into the key along here that kind of ends today’s ride at about 80k I say ends it it ends the the

Purpose of it because I’m not staying at the campsite back there and I’m staying in a hotel I’ve got to go and find that now and I think that’s probably going to be another 10 to 15K on top of this but all Good

Riding my Genesis Croix de Fer 10 2021 bike with flat pedals and a selection of the most inexpensive equipment money can buy, wearing tennis shorts, trainers and a £20 jacket I travel over 100km a day fully loaded to the camp spots and typically complaining about stuff.
