Tour Du Mont Blanc | Chapter 9 | France Italy & Switzerland | Le Peuty – Tre-Le-Champ | DAY 9
Good [Applause] morning This good morning soorry have not long since left Camp it is straight uphill from camp this morning and which we said knew that it was going to be but uh we got a 900 M clim this morning then we drop a bit and then we go up another 200 so
Decently climbing today had a cliff bar and a coffee so hopefully that’s going to give me the energy you need to get to the top of this hill and we’ve actually left at a relatively good time today I think it’s about qu past eight I’m well
Out Ro um so yeah not too bad at all we’re heading to trailer champ today and then we’re going to Camp there I think we’re going to camp at The Refuge cuz there are a few options down there and then head into the town so we’ll see how
We go could do re charging the camera swim may have toep for a campground so we can charge the camera but we’ll see how we go views are already beautiful it’s actually not too hot yet cuz the sun hasn’t quite made it over the mountain and it looks
Like we’re going to be going this Forest now so should be a pretty nice time today and we’ll catch you in a bit when I have caught my breath back Know you ser do ‘s hoping to be able to Fe them on the trip So So just off ahead there is um cold bomb which is where our highest point today is which was our 900 M climb which is so crazy cuz it’s literally like 9:30 I think we hadn’t even set off this time yesterday and we’re all almost at the
Top of the bloody Hill which is insane and the views are absolutely incredible little snap right when we get to the Towk [Applause] I look around the table my family’s all here in this town full of people who visit once a year so split down the midle you C and I CH whatever I do we both seem To but nobody nobody stay be here forever yeah m is Su Day I sing in the Shower let it all Out I know you can hear Me there’s no need to sh so we’re just leaving Refuge called Dill bomb behind what a stoning refuge and even though it looks like relatively DED on the outside it’s super mod on the inside it’s crazy but from this Hut there are three routes two Alternatives
And the main route we are going to stick to the main route and we go down about 200 I think and then back up again 200 so a little bit of a mission and whereas the other two alternative routs they just head straight down the valley so uh
Excited to see what the rest of the day brings it’s only like 10:00 but the views have been in soon is hopefully you can hear me cuz the wind’s picking up um but down in that Valley behind there um I’m pretty sure is where we’re going to be heading at the end of
Today and what I didn’t realize earlier is that is the start of the shami valley so we are so close we’re lit on the whole straet and how Bloody insane are these views and I mean I keep saying this every day but like this is insane count it’s as high as I can
Go and the washer helps heal me the washing go the words that you throw it’s like it and I we all have those St where we hurt those we love and need to part way but nobody and nobody stay be here forever without the words we Should that connect it’s only so thick the rest of it our to make sure that it That so we haven’t checked the map for a little while we’ve just been following this path along the side of the Hill admiring the views as it turns out we went to be up there so I don’t know where the Turning for that was um I’m
Pretty sure they do leave back up down here though but oh we too busy looking at the views and enjoying this path my fingers crossed we will meet back up soon otherwise we’re going to have to scramble through the bushes I think to get the Back so after checking the map it would be quite the mission to rejoin the ridge um so we are going to carry on on the path that we’re on cuz it does rejoin just a little bit further down unfortunately we don’t get to see that view that’s from
The ridge up there I mean we’ve seen this view that’s what 30 m down from the ridge um but yeah we’d either have to back track or scramble through the bushes which neither are ideal to be honest cuz I think there was meant to be
A storm coming at 3: so we don’t want to push it by going back or trying to scramble and um we’re literally like I mean we dropped a bit more now but before we were literally just off that Ridge so so yeah we’re continuing down I can
See a lot of the to bloners also coming this way so we’re not too far off them but the views they’re incredible and town is just down there it’s about qu 12 now the sign back there said that we only have like 50 minutes left until we get to town so we’re
Thinking we might just go without lunch and maybe just head straight into town and have lunch there then at least we can get out of this heat sooner because it’s so bloody hot so uh yeah not far till town now this hill is very steep though into the forest we Go I SP M SP all time storm about 9 yeah down so steep at the top so coming down that Hill ended up being insanely quick we got talking to the guy that that lives like literally down the road from us um so we smashed it down that
Hill it’s now 10 to1 we’ve already made it to Camp he’s actually carrying on to tomorrow night’s box it’s actually not a big day but it’s another Hill and we don’t really want to climb another Hill so I think we’re just going to set up camp and just enjoy the whole afternoon
Here which would be [Applause] lovely so we have just made it to camp and a little grassy sent vit here outside the Refuge and we paid 8 per person for camping that comes obviously with toilets and also a shower so I’m very excited about that we also paid an extra
€17 each for dinner so so for 5050 we have camping showers dinner toilets I’m pretty sure it’s charging inside so super HT on that it’s only 1:00 dinner’s not till 8:30 which is a little on the late side um but I’m sure it’ll be nice so we’re just going to set up the
Tent getting the grass off my mik thank you thanks set at the tent and then chill for the afternoon find something to do for seven hours before te is I’m all right now put my face in Water want have this drink com it seems to be having a drink that calls me down that app sprit is coming I think it’s still fiz at the bottom just on our way to get some snacks in town after our shower and we’re literally walk through the forest down
The hill should have R my trekking PS know going to be like This oh he’s so cute so we definitely made up for not going to the summit today by heading into town it was 128 M drop which is now in Ascent um of a 1.2k which we didn’t realize we did have an incredible vegan burger which kind of
Makes this semi- worth it plus we went to the supermarket so I guess it’s kind of worth it we are just shattered as if we’re adding 2.4k to our day and another 130 M5 not not not everybody
