Exploring Spain 2024: Almería to Valencia Road Trip Adventure
Duke and I and our traveling companions Brian and Joanne had a wonderful week in North Africa from the Spanish Enclave of Malia we took a ferry to Alura on the Iberian Peninsula in this video we start to make our way towards Barcelona we drive to albetti and from there to
Valencia where we’ll spend two nights after checking into our hotel in Al Maria we had a wonderful dinner nearby at labota restaurant the next morning we explored a bit of Al Maria then walked to the train station where we picked up our rental Car we’re in elira today we just picked up our rental car at the Euro Car place there we’re going to uh they they’re out filling it with gas I think and today we’re driving to the parador of albetti it’s a about a 4H hour drive a little
Bit less than that but I’m sure we’ll stop along the way so it’ll be it’s fun to be back in the the Iberian Peninsula we just pulled off the road to look at at this marble mine sounds like they’re still working up there Theying As we neared Alba City we saw miles and miles of almond trees in bloom we stopped at a grocery store to buy food for a picnic dinner Good morning it’s a beautiful cool morning on the plains of lancha we’re at the parador of alete today we’re going to have a not too long drive to Valencia so that’s albacete where we were last night the parador is there and we’ve driven what 7 kilometers South to the castle of chinchilla
Here as you can hear the wind is really blowing but it has quite a commanding uh position on the top of the hill here I don’t think we can go in from what we’ve read online the inside is being renovated that’s the town of chinchilla down [Applause]

To crawl out on the passenger Side we’re out exploring in Valencia this building to our right looks very interesting it’s supposed to be the mandile exchange but we’re not quite sure where the entrance Is so it took us cost us one year to get in because we’re retired Wow what a stupendous building Now we’re walking back to the hotel It’s about 1 p.m. in Valencia and this is out the looking out the window of our room where we were just out walking we had Tas for dinner and then we’re just we’re out strolling which seems to be had a lot of People Foreign foreign Foree We’re in the Ceramics Museum in Valencia it’s an old Palace this is a kitchen PA last time we were in Valencia we had a great dinner at restaurant garasha tinta so we went back there again and had another fabulous Meal the next morning we had breakfast and then walked around enjoying the wonderful Weather Yeah we found these kids playing in the uh Square here what the heck that’s and Brian what are they doing okay guys that’s for kids that’s not for you Okay Oh Fore I love exploring Spain Valencia is one of my favorite Spanish cities and I also like exploring smaller towns like El Maria and albetti it’s also a real treat to find out of the way places like chinchilla castle and the marble mine with iik that
