🚂 Berlin Alexanderplatz station is located in the centre of Berlin on the Berlin Stadtbahn. Together with the adjacent Alexanderplatz underground station, it is one of the most important transport hubs in Berlin. Operationally, the station consists of a stop on the long-distance tracks, which is served by a number of regional trains, and a through station on the S-Bahn tracks of the Stadtbahn line. The U-Bahn station is one of the most important stations in the Berlin U-Bahn network, where three lines intersect.

In terms of the number of daily passengers in S-Bahn traffic, the station was in third place in 2018 behind the Ostkreuz and Friedrichstraße stations with around 140,000 passengers. With a total of 152,000 passengers and visitors every day, the station is one of the 20 most frequented stations in the Deutsche Bahn network in 2019, making it the sixth busiest station in Berlin.

The entire complex of the station, including the S-Bahn and U-Bahn stations, is a listed building.
