Outrigger boats, ranging from small canoes to large vessels, feature lateral support floats attached to the main hull. They come in various configurations, including catamarans, single-outrigger, and double-outrigger vessels. Traditionally equipped with Austronesian sails, they now often use petrol engines. Unlike single-hulled vessels, outriggers generate stability from the distance between hulls rather than hull shape.
