Video shot with a drone in the Montmajour Abbey, a monastic complex located approximately four kilometers north-east of Arles, in the Bouches-du-Rhône department in France. Abbey of the Benedictine order characterized by a Romanesque and Cistercian architectural style.
Montmajour is made up of a hermitage (11th century), a medieval-type monastery (12th century), a lookout tower (14th century) and a classical monastery (early 18th century).
During his stay in Arles in the years 1888-1889, Van Gogh created several paintings having the religious building as their subject, such as “Sunset at Montmajour”.
