Here is a small snippet of our two weeks visiting Japan!
Although some bits were stressful, it was a memorable trip none the less.

My tips & suggestions for Japan:
-Put a fairly large amount in your suica card if you plan on traveling A LOT
-Use google’s camera features to translate hiragana, katakana, and kanji
-Make friends with the locals, everyone is super nice and helpful!
-Stray from tourist spots bc there are a lot of hidden gems if you just look around
-Yelp listed restaurants will most likely be filled with tourists since locals dont use yelp
-Check out local bookstores and thrift shops for some really good finds
-Definitely go to Chao Chao for award winning gyoza (I may have eaten at least 30 pieces lol)
-Dont stuff yourself too much so you can try more food
-Pack light and maybe bring an empty bag for all the stuff you buy in japan
-If youre going in the summer invest in body wipes
-Look for all you drink restaurants!
-Boba isnt super popular but I would highly recommend Otsumo Pearl
-If you visit any popular temples, you should go at 7am to avoid all the tourists
-Use google maps to help navigate the train stations
-Take your time when exploring and enjoy as much as you can 🙂
