This October, marks the return of the bi-annual Asia Contemporary Art Show and Duddells’ autumn art exhibition along with some new offerings such as the Heritage Fiesta where 25 historic buildings in Hong Kong will transform into an art destination.

Duddell’s is no stranger to the contemporary art world with their monthly exhibits and art collaborations. To welcome the autumn season, Duddell’s is showcasing works from contemporary Beijing artist Song Dong. The exhibition will feature Song Dong’s earlier works with photos and videos of his globally renowned installations as well as ceramic sculptures. Song Dong’s use of edible ingredients as his chosen medium of art allows viewer to both consume and contemplate the inspiration behind the artworks.

Heritage Fiesta 2015

Heritage Fiesta 2015
Art isn’t simply staring at a painting on a wall, but rather an interactive experience between a viewer and their environment. The Heritage Fiesta 2015 will transform 25 historic buildings into an art and cultural venues where guests can enjoy a collection of different heritage-based artworks. The exhibition will display photos of each participating historic building and visitors can go on guided tours to hear first-hand stories about each site.

It’s that time of year again where art enthusiasts gather for the 7th bi-annual Asia Contemporary Art Show. With over 60 exhibiting galleries from 16 countries over a span of three floors, visitors will not be disappointed with the 2,000 original paintings, limited editions, sculptures and photographic works of some of the world’s up and coming artists. Apart from the art, visitors have the chance to interact with over 40 artists who works are being displayed at the show.

Ken Matsubara: Repetition

Ken Matsubara: Repetition
Japanese artist Ken Matsubara is making his first step into the Asian art field with his installation Repetition. The eleven video compilation is presented in a book form that was created using old snapshots and reshooting images from the same location to create a comparison between the two places back then and now. The idea of recollection, memory and time are explored through Matsubara’s use of antique objects.
