What to see in one day in Karlsruhe?
•Karlsruhe Palace was built in 1715 for Margrave Charles III William of Baden-Durlach after a dispute with the citizens of his previous capital, Durlach. The city of Karlsruhe has since grown around it. The building is now home to the main museum of the Badisches Landesmuseum.
•The Staatliche Kunsthalle (State Art Gallery) is an art museum in Karlsruhe, Germany.
•The market square is the central square in Karlsruhe city center. It is located at the intersection of the central axis of the fan-shaped city plan, which extends from the castle to the south, and the main commercial street Kaiserstrasse. The dominant buildings of the square are the town church and, opposite it, the town hall, as well as the entire square, classical designs by Friedrich Weinbrenner. The Karlsruhe Pyramid is located on the square. It is the city’s landmark and the tomb of the city’s founder, Margrave Karl Wilhelm von Baden-Durlach.
•The Evangelische Stadtkirche is a Protestant church built in the early 19th century in the city center of Karlsruhe. It is one of the two church buildings in the old and medium-sized town of Karlsruhe as well as the preaching place of the regional bishop of the Evangelical Regional Church in Baden and therefore the main church of the regional church.
•The town hall on the market square in Karlsruhe dates back to 1805.
