Money Saving Tips for Jungfrau, Switzerland (2024) | Get the best deal | Top of Europe

    [Music]
    o
hello and welcome to my channel the
    so-called travel expert if you’re
    planning on visiting Switzerland chances
are that you’re most likely going to
visit yra yok or top of Europe now at
€250 per person this is probably the
    most expensive tourist attraction that
    you’ll come across as
well is there any way to get a discount
on this ticket keep watching to find out
here’s a map of the yunga region and the
travel from inin to Yung yok and back
can be considered as a full day
Excursion my recommendation would be to
take the train from Interlaken to
grindal and from grindel vald take the
modern Iger Express cable car all the
way up to aiga gletcher from aiga
gletcher you then change onto the yunga
ban which travels inside the aiga
mountain and takes you all the way up to
Yung yok on the way back you can take
the scenic train route from Kleiner shy
EG to LA brunin and back onto Interlaken
if your journey starts from Interlaken
then you can expect to pay around 250 in
the High season which runs from around
    June till the end of
August however if you find yourself uh
living in gindel val or La brunin then
you can expect to pay slightly less at
around € 234 per person and yes this is
the price applicable for anybody who is
above 6 years of age so there are no
special discounts for senior citizens or
anybody else for that matter let us look
    now at what discounts are
possible so if you’re traveling as part
of a large group of 10 people or more
you automatically qualify for a discount
of 30% so in this case you would end up
    paying
    €175 instead of the
€250 so if you’re traveling as an
organized tour or with an organized tour
you can rest assured that you’re already
    getting the best deal
even if you are not traveling as part of
an organized tour but you are part of a
group of more than 10 you still qualify
for this discount as long as one person
covers the charges for all your group
another way of securing a discount as an
individual traveler is also the so
    calleded good morning
ticket now with this option you also are
eligible for a 30% discount however this
offer only runs from the first 1 of May
till the 3rd of November another
important thing to keep in mind is that
this offer is only valid for the first
three trains that leave from IGA
gletcher which are which are at around
7:45 8:15 and 8:45 in the morning so to
catch the 7:45 train you would actually
have to leave Interlaken at around 6:15
or 6:30 in the morning so it is a very
early start to the day with this offer
you also compulsorily have to take the
return train back at around 1:15 in the
    afternoon
in case you miss this train you will be
liable for paying the full charges most
of you traveling to the yra York top of
Europe will also be planning to visit
    other tourist attractions in Switzerland
or perhaps also other European countries
and you might also be having the Swiss
travel pass or even the interrail global
pass so many of you will be wondering
how much of a discount do you get with
either of these passes let’s have a
look holders of the Swiss travel pass or
the interrail global pass are entitled
to free travel up till grindal or
Interlaken after this point you are
still entitled to a 30% discount on the
tickets to Yung frok but you do need to
buy a separate ticket for this failure
to do so will again lead to you being
    charged the full ticket
price now if you’re also planning on
    visiting other tourist attractions in
Switzerland then the half effect card
might also be a suitable option the half
Fair card by itself costs around 120
Franks but this makes you eligible for a
50% discount on the ticket to Yung yok
so you would end up only paying around
€125 instead of the €250 now if you
happen to purchase a half Fair card and
you are visiting Yun yok in the period
between May and November then you can
also combine the good morning ticket
with the half a card and eventually you
only end up paying 9 5 so this is
perhaps the best deal you could ever
get the different options we have looked
at so far are only relevant to The
Travelers who are looking to stay in the
interlockin region for only one day and
for visiting the Yung y if you happen to
stay in this region for longer than 3
days then there are a couple of other
travel passes which might be suit
suitable options for you as well if you
are looking to spend around 3 to 5 days
in the yunga region then my
recommendation here is to purchase the
yunga travel pass you can purchase it
from 3 days all the way to 8 Days
depending on your preference and yes
you’re also eligible for discounts if
you have the Swiss travel pass or the
half Fair card with the yra travel pass
you still need to pay extra of around 75
Franks uh for the journey between IGA
gletcher and the Yung yor however you
have a wide range of other attractions
with which are included free of cost in
the unra travel pass these include all
the places of interest such as hard aul
shininger platter grindel Val fist Menan
mirin Kleiner shig and IGA gletcher and
as my final recommendation if you are
planning on spending any time longer
than around 5 days to one week in uh the
    yunga region then my recommendation
would also be to purchase the bner
oeland pass holders of the Swiss travel
pass or the half card are also eligible
for discounts on the Bernie oeland pass
now although the unra sear charge is a
bit higher of 99 Franks compared to the
yunga travel pass the bernes overand
pass does allow you free travel on many
other tourist attractions in the region
such as the brinzo rot to hor steam
train the cable car to Ocean and the
post buses to the Swiss passes as well
so in summary although the visit to
yunga yok is expensive there are a few
options to get discounts on this
    expensive
    trip the most appropriate discount
    depends on your individual conditions
whether you are just visiting as a Day
Tripper or whether you are spending a
longer time in this region and I hope
the information that I’ve provided here
helps you make an informed decision and
    saves you some
money if you have any further questions
