travel videos good Saturday morning I am
um walking down the stairs from uh feda
the town you saw uh down to the port so
I started up there and passed a whole
lot of donkeys and I am now heading down
to the port which is down there and
they’ve got these ships uh that take you
and also they have um these boats that
take you out to cruise ships there are
no cruise ships in dock today so it’s
not as crowded on the way you can see
people riding up on donkeys
this donkey seems to be thinking it’s a
race yes it’s a good thing hello hello
so yeah you can take a donkey up but
we’re going to try to see another way to
get up here uh up to the top up there
when I get down to the bottom so when
you get to the bottom of the
stairs you of course find a sanini gift
shop with pictures of donkeys on
t-shirts the Norwegian Jade the cruise
ship must be in
Port there’s the
um
transfer um
boat I think it’s called a
tender over there this is what the Old
Port looks like that’s a Norwegian
Cruise Lines
photographer this is the Old Port the
whole Old Port
and I’m going to try to find a way back
up that does not in U involve riding a
donkey so this place is selling tickets
one we to ER on a boat
for um €30 and you get a return ticket
back by bus now the price to go to EA on
a bus as I did yesterday is
€160 but these people are just brand new
tourists that just arrived into Port
that line there there is the line to go
up the lift which is those cable cars
right
there and uh that line loops around and
it is a long line and it’s full of
tourists cost € 10 to go up one
way um I talked to a tourist from
America and I told her that you can
actually walk up and she decided to I I
wasn’t worth believing but uh which I
just
did anyway walked down that is I might
go to the donkey station don’t know so
I’m lining up for a donkey
ride well that was a hair raising
experience getting on a donkey and going
up this hill uh the donkey has a mind of
its own and uh it’s a powerful animal
that was my first time actually riding
such a beast so a photographer takes a
picture of you riding up the donkey and
then his wife sells it to you for 4 I
don’t know how they got it develop so
quickly it’s pretty good Greeks have a
unique way of uh creating hot water
tanks they’re all solar powered they’re
on the roof of every building and um
that’s what they look like lots of
cactus

vegetation of uh theeta as you can see
there’s churches over on the left one of
them is a Catholic church and the
Orthodox Church is in the center of town
up there and that’s the town of feda
which I showed you the first night I was
here and you can see it’s built on the
slopes of the cliff and then there’s the
walkway that I took you could see those
stairs going all the way down and then I
took the the donkeys on the way up and
goes all the way down at the Port as you
can see uh NCL Norwegian Cruise Line
ship is in Port today
it looks like it’s the only cruise ship
in
Port and that’s what caused all the
chaos down at the Port TR to go up the
uh the aerial lift and that’s why I had
to take the donkey and there’s a few
extra people up in the town of fura as
well they’re from the uh cruise ship if
there’s no cruise ship in town this is a
really empty Town good perspective view
of
sanini um there you can see the tabletop
rock at 1700 ft it is joined to the
island and um you can see that on the
right hand side that’s IMO vgi which is
the last Town um before you get to IIA
which is on the left side way over their
distance to complete our walking tour of
santerini I’m going to show you the fame
Blue Dome Church which is on the
waterfront the church was first shown in
about 1960 on a National Geographic
article and that’s why it’s famous and I
think this is going to be the last view
I’m going to show it you today I hope
