Discovering Gorges du Verdon: France’s Grand Canyon
hey tar what’s the most beautiful place
you’ve ever been uh hands down the gorge
de Veron in France surprise surprise
it’s in France most people have never
heard of it the gorge of verone was
created by the verone river and it has
rocks and canyons um as deep as 700 M
it’s absolutely extraordinary it’s
France’s version of the Grand Canyon
here in the United States it’s not too
far north of um like nce so I’ve driven
there twice from nice I think it took me
an hour hour and a half and the last
time our youngest and I drove through it
and actually stayed the night in the
gorge de Veron and there were some
little towns that you can stop in
whether to stay or to eat we stayed in a
place um that was like a spa resort
where people had weddings it was a
destination place and it was so
incredibly quiet uh there’s climbing
there’s hiking there’s river rafting
there’s kayaking and it is an absolute
mustsee if you are in pance or anywhere
