vibe of this Channel resonates with you I invite you to subscribe all right fabulous people let’s go explore pizza if you want to enjoy Pizza to the fullest I recommend starting your day trip to Pisa as early as possible before the big crowds and urban noise trust me having just a few moments in the pza de miracu or the square of Miracles to yourself will guarantee the most perfect start to your pizza day trip now I’m sure you’re wondering if it’s worth seeing the entire complex or just the Leaning Tower of Pisa and I can say with all certainty definitely see the entire Pisa Cathedral complex having been described by UNESCO as an outstanding example of medieval Christian architecture it consists of the Pisa Cathedral the Pisa Baptist tree the Leaning Tower of Pisa and the Monumental Cemetery please allow allow me to share with you why each part of this complex deserves your attention let’s begin with the Piza Baptist Tre of St John The Beautiful batist of Pisa is dedicated to St John the Baptist and it’s the largest Baptist tree not only in Italy but the entire world the construction began in 1153 but was only completed after a century and this is why when you look closely you’ll see that the building displays a mix of two different styles the Romanesque and the gothic as you can tell the interior of the Baptist tree is very simple without much decorations and it is here in 1564 that Galileo galile was baptized but there is one more reason why you absolutely must visit this famous site in Pisa The Vault of the Baptist tree consists of a double dome which gives it the most exceptional Acoustics and if you guys want to experience this one-of AA kind acoustic effect for yourself then you should definitely know that every 30 minutes the doors of the baptistry get closed and then one of the attendants on duty actually gives you a brief demonstration of how this astonishing acoustic effect actually works and sounds [Music] [Laughter] the next place in this pizza travel guide rightfully belongs to the compos Santo or the Monumental Cemetery one of the oldest Christian medieval architectures for the devotion of the Dead it was built in 1277 to accommodate the graves that until that time were scattered around the Church of the dwomo during the 14th century the graveyard has been decorated by the great artists of the time and the inner walls were embellished by St in frescos about life and death members of prominent families rectors and professors of the University were all buried here often using ancient sarcophagus from Roman times there is such a beautiful energy inside the compos Santo and if you plan to visit Pisa I definitely recommend not to skip this special place of peace and silence and of course you cannot forget about the heart of Patza de miracul Theo if you buy any ticket to the complex you will get a free pass to visit the cathedral now if you want to see an explore the entire complex including the Leaning Tower the price of the ticket is currently β¬27 and it can be easily purchased on the official website just make sure to book it in advance especially during the high season one thing for you to keep in mind fabulous people is that only for Leaning Tower you will have a specific visiting time indicated on your tickets and for the rest of the sides Be baptistry or Cathedral you can show up at any time before you enter the dwo pay close attention to the stunning details of the bronze doors made by Florentine artists in the 17th century after the original wooden doors were destroyed in the fire of 1595 as you begin exploring the dwo you will notice different stylistic elements from classical to Byzantine and Islamic perfectly blending together and reflecting the international presence of pis and Merchants at that time the 68 monolithic columns were brought here from Sardinia they represented how many churches were in Pisa at the time of the cathedral’s construction and as you look up you will see a stunning golden ceiling that was added during the miches rule in the 16th century before you leave don’t forget to explore the marble Pulpit by jaavan Pizano at true artistic highlight of the cathedral with a precise calculation of light and Shadow it represented A New Concept in medieval sculptures with figures seemingly stepping out of the frame the dwo of Santa Maria Sun Piza is a true Masterpiece of the Romanesque period and it’s definitely a sight to behold and of course your visit to Piza cannot be complete without exploring the symbol of Piza and one of Italy’s signature sides the leaning tower for centuries the Leaning Tower of Pisa has been creating admiration and concern to both experts and tourists it was even proposed as one of the seven wonders of the world one thing that you should know is that you cannot carry anything with you not even a small purse everything has to be deposited in a lock room just right next to the lening tower it’s a very quick very easy way to store your purses or backpacks or anything else that you have with you but you absolutely cannot carry anything inside the construction of the tower began in 1173 and continued for over 200 years due to the onset of a series of Wars debt and hopeless attempts by engineers and Architects to correct the lean with 207 columns ranging around eight Stories the Leaning Tower of Piza is more than 16 ft of perpendicular and as you start climbing to the very top trust me you will not only see it but you will definitely feel it as well guys this is such a crazy experience because at first you start leaning to your right and you have to compensate so you balance yourself out and then you start leaning to the left and the whole experience is just insane because the entire time all you’re doing is still trying to find your equili as The Architects and Engineers try to correct The Lean by making the remaining stories shorter on the uphill side due to the foundation Stones been laid on the soft ground consisting of clay fine sand and shells the tower unfortunately or fortunately continued to lean more and more with over 5 million visitors per year this world famous Italian Landmark reminds us once again that it’s a your own imperfections that make us so special unique and attractive and of course fabulous people if you want to take all the headache out of the planning process then I bronzo every plate is a perfect combination between the scents of the sea and The rhythms of the city resulting in the freshcious traditional dishes with a touch of innovation and creativity and the your meal [Music] and in the afternoon get to know Pizza on a more personal level with its numerous stunning churches hidden streets beautiful Parks this city has so much to offer so don’t leave Pizza just yet give it another couple of hours to really soak up the atmosphere of the city one of the things to do and discover in Pizza is a CH Church of Santa Maria de laspa in Pisa located on Aro River Bank in Pisa this extraordinary example of pisan Gothic has undergone numerous changes due to its proximity to the river the most radical renovation was in 1871 when it was fully dismantled and rebuilt about 3 ft higher as you explore the church you will find an impressive Madonna of the Rose by Andrea and Nino Pizano as well as temper exhibitions that are occasionally hosted inside the building Santa Maria de lasp Piza is open to the public just a few times a week and if you’re doing Pizza travel visiting this little gem is an absolute must another church that should definitely be on your list of things to do in Pizza is the kiasa D Santa Katarina built at the beginning of the 13th century the facade of the church is done in pan Romanesque style and is decorated with white and gray marble from Monte Pisano the church is dedicated to St Katherine of Alexandria a beautiful young woman from a noble family who according to the legend was murdered by emperor maxentius when she refused to worship Pagan idols and converted to Christianity with a single na particularly suitable for preaching and music it’s not a coincidence that numerous Coral concerts are often held in the church thanks to its perfect Acoustics in fact the last time I visited the church I was fortunate to witness one of the rehearsals and to this day I still have goosebumbs just thinking about the truly special [Music] performance renowned for its marble Cathedrals Leaning Tower and historic patas there is one Hidden Gem of pizza that often gets overlooked and that is the Oro botanic de pizza or the Botanical Garden of pizza founded in 1543 it was the first University Botanical Garden in Europe and to this day is still operated by the University of Pisa located just a few minutes away from the Leaning Tower it offers a relaxing peaceful break in its lashes botony if you’re looking for some peace and quiet away from tourist crowds this B iCal Garden offers such a peaceful Escape as you Welcome to Pisa, fabulous! If you are in doubt about visiting this stunning city, I can say with all the certainty – it's definitely worth your time. So in love with this town! Let's go explore it together….
Great information as usual. Thanks
Wonderful and professional shooting. It's a pity Piazza dei Miracoli is almost always crowded with tourists, because it's just a soothing and calming place.
9:25 π It does looks delicious.
"I Porci Comodi" π. Tuscan sense of humor.
Pizza in roma ?
Thank you for this post! A friend and I plan to stay in Livorno for 8 days in September, and we are working out what day trips we'd like to take while we are there. Pisa is definitely on the list, so I appreciate the specific suggestions. I was there 9 years ago but only for an hour or so between trains to Cinque Terre from Pistoia. I have subscribed in case you do videos about any other places we plan to visit. π
Pisa is beautiful. I love my visit and saw the whole complex. I did not get to see the garden. That would have been wonderful. Thank you so much for for sharing this wonderful video.π
Nice video, you said you cannot carry anything into the leaning tower of Pisa at all, and everything has to be put in a locker. So how did you manage to get a camera in there to shoot your video/photos ?
Never been here before, looks like time to plan this trip
Brava come sempre perchΓ© ami l'arte e la moda e i tuoi video sono intelligenti, saluti da trastevere
