France EP. 2 Touring château de Fontainebleau and doing Paris in a day !

hi I’m Jason hi my name’s ran this is our T4 camper van we’re going to be traveling across Europe and come and join us I do other things we got cheese and crackers anyway so we’ve come to fonton blur now and today we spent the day in the chatau mhm in fonton BL last night we passed up literally at the gates yeah there’s a wicked parking if you do drive down here right outside the gates there’s free parking and loads of space there was other Vans and stuff parked up as well definitely if you’re in font tblr visit the chatau yeah cuz it was actually built before the Versa by the same architect um so it’s definitely worth seeing yeah lots of Napoleon facts there and amazing paintings like astonishingly good paintings and loads of rooms rooms that they didn’t even need and rooms that they converted just for the sake of converting what did you think of ruen ruen I liked Ren it has its own history um nice little town um not enough green for me like we found a nice place to eat in the courtyard which was really peaceful um but I’m a nature girl I going to have my trees font BL is not just one Monarch’s Palace it belonged to all of them 34 Kings and two Emperors passed down from generation to generation from the Middle Ages to the 19th century 800 years of history took place within the walls of the chatau outside its walls there are over 120 Acres of parks and Gardens if you’re ever in or around font blur it’s definitely something that you should check out as well as the chatau the town surrounding it is absolutely beautiful and then tomorrow Paris yep uh tomorrow going to Paris going to the catacombs finding a vegan Patisserie go see the Eiffel Tower just because it’s a must we’re tourists we’re tourists I’m going to go around with my camera and look exactly like a tourist yeah all right catch in a bit so we have made it to the train and we are on our way to p and the train has double deckers we could actually stand down here that’s why was going so long didn’t realize platform so long uh yeah it’s a double decker train we’re on the top deck of course like true royalty so we just got out of Shaz de no Shaz de uh train station and we’re now on our way to The Patisserie to [Music] get mhm Natural History is that what back yeah so we not sure if we need to be yeah you do some filming oh I do some filming it’s already filming okay this is a dude don’t know who it is all right we’re going straight down we’re going straight down there you go that’s in [Applause] [Music] than what are you doing [Applause] h this is St like [Applause] Sprouts could to get out r Rice r Rice a [Music] take my good so oh it’s going to get steamy in here me hello yeah um so we went to Paris today and we decided to do a bit of a flash Tour Paris in a day Paris in a day um I’ve been there three times so I kind of knew a few of the sites to see but we did the catac and then we pretty much walked through every Other M Outlet throughout Paris came back on the train back after leaving at 8:00 this morning it is now about 4 8 so good 12 hours we be [Music] out the train decides to miss our stop due to their being being a suspicious parcel left on the station so missed our spot we look outside absolutely hammering it down you can’t see out of the train window all I’m worrying about is that we left the washing [Applause] [Laughter] [Music] out uh we just the washing didn’t too too bad the washing is good um so we hop off of the next station after finding this out decided to ask a few people cuz it’s an hour and a half walk yeah so we were prepping for an hour and a half walk back in Toral rain with about 20 knots a win it wouldn’t it wouldn’t be fun and then we asked this bloke just if he spoke English he was he was like a little bit said how can we get to font blow he’s like we’ve got the kettle on yeah so we’re getting steamy in here trying to warm up all right I should do it um so we asked him like look do you speak English he’s like yeah just little bit um how do we get to font and blue he’s like you want to go to fonton Blue yes please he’s like it’s okay I take you uh I don’t know what REM was thinking but maybe I was like I was just hoping he knew there was two of us I was like do he know that I’m with you and he just said that he’d take us to fonton blur his mate pulled up we both got in the back we showed him where we were on the maps and he pretty much drops us off on our front door uh didn’t get the names tried to give them some beer money H they wouldn’t have it they were just really nice people just willing to give us a LIF like yeah it it was nice to just have some faith in humanity but like people are nice people are nice you’re just a pessimist I am a pessimist what’s your take on uh Paris cuz I enjo your first time yeah I mean Paris in a day how many what was it 3 38,000 steps we did we were both wrong he thought I was being a bit so I thought REM was really high and I at first I said 21,000 but that was too low so then I said 25,000 we both promised that we wouldn’t check this until we got back and obviously we didn’t do if we have done the extra hour and a half from the train station to here would it be even more that’s how much I watched there you go it’s backwards but 34,0 74 steps in a day it was worth it got to see the catacombs yes went to the L so Shard Eiffel Tower Concord yep Concord went into the art oh we had vegan pastries yeah that was highlight highlight of the day uh we had vegan pastries vegan Patisserie all lined up ah we had Chaka so now we’re going to chill out get warm have some food go to bed start again tomorrow see in a bit it’s so cold in here this morning that the ls for the camera’s actually fogging [Applause] up I think it’s a clash of the cold and the heat cuz we put the kettle on I don’t think it’s that cold in here ran out of coffee about 2 days ago but we found in fonton blur this lovely roast this was from a quaint little family Coffee wellow coffee shop yeah Roastery Roastery uh you walk in they do nothing but coffee and teas it’s like an old sweet shop where you go in and pick what you want and then they weigh it out for you yeah so this oh my God excited to see how it tastes flavors what flavors flavors notes roast roast yeah we went the traditional I don’t really know what that is and oh God my French is kind of crap so I can’t really ask her questions so this is the first coffee um in my arrow press and basically it’s just going to be a case of figuring out if this is the right grind and stuff like that but we’ll see you’re going to watch me grind it there might be some people arguing over whether to push through the whistle or not go fres well I’m getting creamy notes definitely a place that if you enjoy your coffee you must go grab a bag from there it was amazing [Music] come here I’m hiding from it you’re hiding from it hoping the slug crawls off your face no well you make it it’s a surprise it’s a surprise is this for the restaurant earlier yeah I made did you go out for food and it was [ __ ] I’m sorry it rates in my top three worst meals and that’s pretty considering we usually have really good um vegan food I’m going to try and make up for it R’s fighting with the coffee yeah I need to have a look into why that’s suppos happen maybe I’m doing something wrong but I’ve done it the same with the other coffees maybe it’s just the coffee you can do it oh dear this morning we set out to do the Tor dinot walk uh in fonton blur this offers you a 360 view of the fonton blur Forest on the walk we found numerous plaques unfortunately since they were all in French we hadn’t a clue what they were saying good camping the fonton blow Forest is the second largest national forest in France it is connected to the mainly on the munip pal of fonton blur boasting the distinction that more than 98% of its territory is occupied by two National Heritage attractions the chatau of font blur and the national forest of fonton blue it was really nice to get out of the cities and the greenery was much welcome destruction hello little woman [Music] look at you you [Music] you have oh why [Applause] all right just got back from the hike we got a little bit lost uh we crawled under some things climbed some things jumped over some things and now we’re off climbing mhm wasn’t a BL reach [Applause] good God it’s a very dramatic turn though sleepy hands sleepy go on Bob stand up that leg go on [Music] oh introducing the iPad see dates hot chocolate probably can’t see us but it’s movie night it’s coffee how do you have to zoom in on that it’s coffee enjoying a little snack before we get on the road and leave fonton Blue today our last day been really nice love how green it is font and blur has been my favorite
