[Music] in the earlier episode we visited the source of the river ve and the dareld castle after a nice day over in the city of dareld we continued with a two-day round trip in the turtle burger Vault we entered this hilly Forest at teenburg the forest consists of two ridges that stretch from west to east over 105 km the highest hill in the East is almost 450 M High [Music] n [Music] [Music] n n [Music] the hermans denile is a statue to honor the German leader arminius as the Romans called him he defeated the Roman army in the year nine the Romans never came further east and north than this point the statue dates back to 1875 together with this pedestal it measures 54 M with the 27 M height of the Statue itself it was the largest statue in the Western World until the Statue of Liberty was erected in New York [Music] n n [Music] [Laughter] the exter Steiner is a Sandstone rock formation that dates back 12 million years it has been sculpted by erosion the mystical atmosphere attracts people to use it as a place of worship signs indicate that men visited this place as from the Middle Ages and maybe even from prehistoric times [Music] [Music] [Laughter] [Music] w [Music] [Applause] [Music] in M it’s the ven or Water Street cross the river wazer flows underneath the moland canal with a length of 326 km this channel is the longest man-made waterway in Germany [Music] [Music] [Music] w [Music] a
A 2-day motortrip across the Teutoburger Wald in Germany. Stretching east from Osnabruck the forest and hills span 105 kms. Curvy roads, forest, viewpoints and interesting sites to see. The video includes visits to Hermanndenkmal, Extrensteine and the Wasserstrassekreuz (Water street cross) in Minden, where the river Wezer flows underneath the Mittelland kanal.
