In this Krefeld City tour in Western Germany, I am walking you through the City Center of Krefeld during the worldwide pandemic and cover various sightseeing spots. Krefeld is located in Western Germany (North Rhine-Westphalia) north-west of Dusseldorf and because of its economic background often referred to velvet and silk city in Germany.

Due to the production of silk fabrics, Krefeld was one of the most prosperous cities in Germany for a long time until the first half of the 20th century. This is still evident today in the magnificent Wilhelminian and Art Nouveau facades from the 19th century, which have been preserved in many parts of the city – despite war damage. I am starting at the main station and then walking towards the city center following the long shopping street until Schwanenmarkt mall. After I walk through the mall you will see the Alte Kirche (Old evangelic church). This tour will end then at the Neumarkt which I passed once before.

This video covers the following city’s attractions: Krefeld Main Station, Krefeld City Center, Schwanenmarkt Mall, Alte Kirche (Old Church), Neumarkt (Market Place).

I hope you can relax and enjoy this beautiful walking tour. Feel free to give me feedback for this city tour during the pandemic in 2020 and please like and consider subscribing to my channel if you enjoy my work.
