Making memories in the Dordogne, France – La Roque-Gageac .#family #travel #hike #france #carpediem
We are now in the Dordogne for 8 weeks . This is a morning out with our grand daughter visiting La Roque- Gageac a town perched above the river Dordogne and one of the “plus beaux villages de France . We did a 3.6 KM circular walk that took us above the town with some magnificent views of the town and the river below . There is a market every Friday morning from May to September selling local produce . You can also take a boat trip on the traditional Gabarres boats . Canoes can be hired in the summer months but the river was too full and fast flowing for us to try this. There is a stunning Romanesque church and Chateau Malartrie to visit.

Hello we are Andy and Julie we have taken a years (or maybe more) sabbatical from work to travel at home and abroad.
To date our travels have included St Lucia, Martinique, back packing in Columbia and Peru. At home we have visited St Ives (Cornwall), Cumbria, and North Devon.
We are currently on a 8 week adventure in France staying in the Dordogne region to get a feel of French life and polish off the French
Later in the year our adventures and travels will include Hong Kong, Vietnam and Sardinia.
This year is about new adventures , new experiences , pausing the 9-5 , spending time with family and learning new skills. Our mantra for the year is CARPE DIEM (seize the day) !!
