Berchtesgaden National Park | Bavarian Nature Series

Hi everyone, Today we will travel to Berchtesgaden National Park, located in Bavaria, Germany. This park is easily accessible by public transportation, bus 846 brings you from Berchtesgaden railway station to Hintersee lake, from where you may walk to the national park. I absolutely recommend you walk around the lake as well, all the area is absolutely stunning. Let’s enjoy it together. The area has everything for tourist comfort. There are a lot of benches where you can sit and enjoy the calm, powerful nature. Compared to other areas around Berchtesgaden, Hintersee, Ramsau village and surrounding areas are not full of tourists and have a much more virgin environment. Cars are not allowed to enter the national park, and there is a paid parking area. A little further there is a museum that anyone can visit. Same did I. The museum tells a lot about the flora and fauna of the national park. If you go further into the park, at some point you see the Eagle observation point. In theory you may see eagles right here in the wild environment, but it depends on many factors including the season of the year. I didn’t see anything. Some trails are closed during the winter season. During the warmer months there is a bus that could bring you deeper into the national park. I was here in March, fortunately the weather was perfect. Red deer winter enclosure – or in German Rotwild Wintergehege – that’s how this point was called at Google Maps. When I came here, I expected to see something, but the area looked absolutely empty. I already lost hope of seeing anything, but suddenly I saw a group of deers. They are very good at hiding. Please don’t forget to appreciate my time and like this video. This is the last video from the “Nature of Bavaria” series. If you haven’t seen others, I recommend you watch them. It’s not as informative and dynamic as other videos I published on my channel, but these videos are simply beautiful and relaxing.
