Join us on our tour through one of the cutest little medieval villages in France – Yvoire. Stones and flowers will be everywhere you look.
You will see the beautiful Yvoire castle that was built in 1306 during the village fortification by the Comte de Savoie Amédée V. At first, the castle served for military purposes, as it had an ideal location to watch and control the road which linked Geneva to the high valley of the Rhône and Italy.
Yvorie is ranked as one of the International Laureates of Floral Decorations and a member of the Association of the Most Beautiful Villages of France. Although this information speaks enough on its own, you should definitely come here to check if it deserves such high reputation.
