good morning from beautiful Cape Town South Africa the MSC splendida is now back at the port and we’re about to get off the ship so join us with this embarcation day and to see what we get into [Music] today a little bit of conversation a little bit of relaxation across the sea City to City CER with me tell me when you’re ready ready to leave with my Cru and family across this eyes and see come and by with me yeah what you waiting for just step out that door and explore are you ready to par with me and this cruising family my cruising [Music] family oh we’re back in C yes I like can see a feris wheel from here and so many seagulls they are like sea eagles mhm all right let’s go [Music] baby we’re here at the MC splendida restaurant that we’ve been going to for dinner every night this is the first time we’ve come in for breakfast it’s dis embarcation day my family’s getting them a nervous y’all they getting them a nerves acting up screaming at each other AJ accidentally dropped his room key and Alan screaming at hand I don’t know what’s happening this morning maybe it’s the disappointment of getting off a ship I don’t know but we’ll see how the day goes breakfast on board the ship with a view of Table Mountain Cape Town South Africa on an interesting note the seated us at a table with a family of three so we’re at a table for eight but it’s a pretty tiny table for eight and so on this embarcation day of course you’re not assigned a table only Cruise Line I know that assigns you a table for dis embarcation is Disney Cruise Line and I love that but here it’s first comfor ser and you take what they have and they only had big tables so there eight of us sitting at this table let’s take a look at the breakfast menu as usual feel free to pause the video to read the of scrambled eggs for myself and Mommy Alan ordered the smok salmon the boys ordered hash brown sausages and bacon after a trip to guest services to get a replacement card for AJ we are off the ship we’re back in cave Town stand again what what is 79 we’re in front of the co Court waiting for our pickup cuz we got up a little bit earlier than expected we are now off with Brad our tour guide heading to stellin [Music] BOS stellin BOS is Cape Town’s Wine Country the scenery on the way there is beautiful you instantly feel a shift as you drive from the hustle and bustle of the city into the peace and tranquility of the wine [Music] country Brad is now pulling into Fairview our first stop for the day we’re now entering Fair View in stellin BOS for a wine tasting and just a nice laidback [Music] thing h [Music] M gold milk soap shz red wine soap soap mhm oh wow I think I’ll probably be getting some though bath bombs there’s a lot to see taste smell and do hair at Fairview I’ve been here basking in the different wine crafts soaps and things here at Fairview let me catch up with my family for the wine tasting that we’re here for to The Tasting Room I go hello good morning my name is and I’ll assist you the cheese and wine testing if you’re doing this morning I’ve got eight wines for you eight paing seven cheeses one meat and all these things is made here on this F great on the olive beautiful palette cleanser so whenever you feel are cleaning up the palette and just use the bra on the world there’s a list provided to tell us exactly what we will be tasting the wine and the [Music] [Music] [Music] peering this is make it’s refreshing while enjoying the tasting there’s a video playing in the background about the process of making the various [Music] wines thank you thank you goat milk and then a cow’s milk bre okay oh this is [Music] [Music] I actually prefer the goat milk com with um pairing so after the first few pairings and tastings this is what we have left so it looks like we’ll be getting 1 2 3 4 five more sips this is really a nice experience for families as you see they also accommodate children the boys have grape juice and we have our wine they have grape juice with sweets we have our wine without cheeses it’s and salami and some other things olives I think it’s really a sweet experience here at fa viiew in spell to show you the very first red wine same inspiration cauliflower celebrate the history of the farm and this time I’ve got 100% G no and you know ganach is Spanish or region The Grapes widely planted in the South France they uses a lot in Kon and Sh the P where they blend s this is 100% massive ber thin skin and because of a thinner skin you get quite a lighter color it’s a perfect red for a beginner or summer Red Wine Drinker and this is a red wine that come called The V vineard is really old it comes from a vineard planted 197 so that’s oh normally a lifetime for a Vine in South Africa is between 25 and 35 years anything older that gives you a good wine the wine and spirit Bo recognize you with that so fab was rewarded and recognized for a good wine frommer old wine beautiful wine for summer or for a like I said for a beginner and only 1,364 bottles was made because I are older Vette the Hills start to drop a lot and I’ve got a p more cheese with sunr tomato and H thank you thank you this cheese is so good look sundried Tomatoes it’s really good and it pairs with the red wine it’s so good I want to take it back to New York this is my favorite of all the pairings so far in 1925 he cross po two French root STS by using p FR and S homage and that’s P today I’m showing you um a top 10 pin in the country mhm so how long are you staying so we’re actually flying out tonight so we were in Cape Town before the cruise for a few days days then we got on the cruise Tuesday we were supposed to go to Namibia but we didn’t because of weather so we just stayed on the ship and pared and had a good [Music] time so while Brad has taken the boys out the adults are enjoying our peaceful time for about 5 minutes cheers have you done wine tasting on vacation before if so let us know when and where in the comments don’t Rat Race Rat Race turtle turtle turtle it’s the rat race Turtle interesting two of them there’s another one in the middle oh yeah a snake Rat Race oh yeah there was a snake on Rat Race [Music] too we’re looking for snakes guys not here at the Giraffe House in South Africa oh they have more than giraffes as you see okay it’s moving tape [Music] Cobra you want to see the Cobra come look at the Cobra Landon see it oh I can see [Music] it and and this one has nothing it’s us you see it’s a mirror this exhibit creatively classifies humans as the most dangerous animal on earth comment below Giraffe House provides a really peaceful and educational experience for [Music] families one thing I will tell you about giraffe house it is beautiful out here so tranquil so peaceful I told Brad I could be out here and just sit and just look around at the environment it’s gorgeous okay relaxing let me say it’s hot make sure you wear your sunscreen I did not today I know I should know better and I have sunscreen packed in my bags but didn’t wear sunscreen and wear something cool hey my zebra friend tell them it’s hot tell them it’s hot even the zebra is getting a 10 that’s not white baby I mean I guess a little bit I you must T back in the van cooling off and heading to our next location and we’re at Tara heading in for lunch before the airport [Music] we can’t buy these views this is gorgeous just look at it now off to lunch to [Music] Cara starting it off with our New Found Love grape Tizer well really we know about appletizer but grape can’t be bad especially in Wine Country surprise surprise the boys got pizza I’m kidding that’s really not a surprise enjoy your Pizza [Music] Boys and let’s not forget the french fries for the boys I think you mean chips this is our meal all the adults got the fish of the day which is the haki haky is that how it’s pronounced Haw the fish of the day is the Haw and that’s what we’re going to have time to dig in Alan says he likes the sauce so it’s time for me to try the sauce okay so my first chew on this was kind of long cuz the fish was really good but hot the fish is really good but it’s hot from the fire not like peppery hot and it’s good Sal y I’ve noticed in general the food has not been salty yeah that’s true just right fresh good yeah just good food man good food yeah yes there’s an entire playground here at Takara delicatess in in stellin BOS so you can have delicious food and a funfilled day for the children definitely a gem if you’re residing in or visiting Cape Town with children this is all a part of Takara where we just had lunch look at this it’s so gorgeous [Music] careful you got this though you got this right who got [Music] this see this is where you climb not on my couch and stuff you climb on these things well this looks like the couch to me really it’s fancy couch [Music] let go of that cap that’s not yours why do you have it someone left it doesn’t mean you touch it [Music] Landon kids I comments below [Music] [Music] having had lunch and some play time it’s now time to leave Takara and head to the airport with a couple stops along the way basically if you look at the sculpture it is Testament to the change in the last 30 years M Sal BOS the birthplace of segregation and of what we call the parted the M fact that you got a statue and an artwork of Nels Mandela um says that we’ve moved on yes you know the changes happened and and he’s acknowledged and this is phenomenal an architectural Masterpiece m in the Town Square yeah where segregation was born yeah moving in the right direction we are we are that’s powerful he’s called MBA right MBA this is one of his famous things mhm never and never again shall it be said that this beautiful land will again experience the oppression of one another yes [Music] so this place only has a few locations and we’ve now been to two cuz we went to this ice cream location before the cruise and we’re going [Music] again clothing whatever you see it’s all local oh that’s great believe your own hype I like that you know the deal look at all the flavors and comment below what flavor ice cream are you ordering from [Music] Kristen’s I chose Claire’s rainbow block this ice cream is so yummy this ice cream is so [Music] good Kristen’s ice cream gets a thumbs up from J to what a day we are now truly on our way to the airport we are about to wrap up a beautiful week’s experience in the motherland and think about it in just one single day today we’ve been on the ocean on the city and Country Roads and we’re about to be in the air and just like that we’re back on board United Airlines out of CPT Tape Town International Airport heading to newer Liberty International Airport in New Jersey one thing I immediately realized sitting in this seat versus the bulkhead seat that we had on this United Jet same at least the same type of jet7 if not the exact same jet is that there’s a lot more a lot is Extreme for economy for 16 hours but there’s more leged room in this seat the regular economy seats in the middle section rather than the bulkhead for me I’m 5’1 and so is Allan is I still think I’m taller than him but 510 511 you have more leg room I would say in these middle seats spend the bulkhead seat which we had on our flight from nework to K town so see where Alan’s feet are like when you come in and just sit normal mine are there too right in front of me I have a bag under my seat right now he doesn’t right now but we’ll switch that around during the flight I can stick my feet on the side of my bag all the way in and Alan can s his feet all the way out so we couldn’t do that on the flight from nework to Cape Town when we were in the bulad if you are see in an exit room you may be asked to assist the C during an evacuation if you’re unable or uncomfortable please ask a flood attendant to move it’s time for takeoff and despite nighttime not being the best to capture this sort of footage 13-year-old cameraman AJ yes that’s my baby got us this exclusive look at Cape Town from the night sky [Music] thank you thank you the boys were waiting to get these headsets so they could watch the United entertainment system which is pretty good AJ had me promised to watch Sonic 2 on this flight tonight’s dinner we got be there wasn’t a choice but that’s okay we’ll see how this goes cuz we were saying food in Cape Town And even on the mess has been wonderful I United Food all the way to K to was not so much I you to give it a try on the way back home down to New York well to New York okay smells good I was smelling it before we got it it smells good but that’s Alan opening his up I got the same thing as I said there was no choice going to take guys now food is actually tasty even the couscous we each have a chocolate dessert a dinner roll and a bottle of water to add to the drinks we already had for snack we have a chicken sandwich which is just okay in the bag with a sandwich we also have cheese Knack a chocolate bar and a yummy fruit chew stick I alluded to this earlier but didn’t come outright and say it so let me say it now this flight in total is about 16 hours long I’m getting in my Abbot Elementary on this flight for breakfast we each have an omelette I’m having cranberry juice with mine you have milk yeah it’s good the food on this trip from Cape Town back to nework is far better than the food we had on the flight from nework to Cape Town so we we actually really did enjoy this omelette breakfast I’m surprised I had the whole thing and the fruit look fresh so I’m about to have that and we are about an hour or so away from Landing all in all we’ve been enjoying the food drinks entertainment and service on this United flatback home just like that we are back at New York Liberty International Airport ready yeah what you waitting for just about that door and explore are you ready to part with me and this cruising family my cruising family
