city of heidleberg in Germany stand to the end for our bonus tip cheers everyone [Music] let’s start with a visit to C BR hobber situated in the heart of the old town this Brewery is located in a historic building dating back to the 19th century curai offers a fantastic selection of house brw beers Simona tried their double book a dark beer with 88.8% ABV while I opted for their croen a 5.8% color beer you can definitely tell who can handle the strong stuff in the family we didn’t have any food here but the menu includes many traditional German Classics like schnitzel sausages and pork knuckle whether you’re enjoying a sunny afternoon in the Beer Garden or a cozy evening inside cultur barai provides an authentic Taste of heidelberg’s beer culture and there’s another interesting fact B wenberg the state where Heidelberg is located is home to 210 different breweries boasting the second highest number of of breweries and beers in Germany after Bavaria we know we were also not expecting to find an amazing Ramen place like this in Germany but as you can see H highberg has more to offer than sausage when it comes to food minan ramen bar brings the flavors of Japan to H highberg with its Rich flavorful Ramen balls the Bruff is simmered for hours to achieve a deep complex flavor Simona went for the delicious caramor Ramen the Prof was amazing with lots of umami and just the right amount of saltiness I went for the tantan men this bowl is made with spicy minced chicken and again the broth was perfect and the spice level was serious but if you’ve been following us for a while you know that’s exactly what I go for the warm and inviting Ambience along with the authentic Japanese Decor made us feel like we were dining in a small Ramen Shop in Tokyo all right guys we’re just walking down here in the huim uh one of the districts here in heidleberg and we wanted to talk a little bit about food and drinks here in heberg obviously in food you would think that it’s mostly about uh sauerkraut sausage and schnitzel as we’re in Germany but uh actually they have some other stuff too um it’s really International City so a lot of people from around the world uh work here and study here so you can also see that in the restaurant scene for example they have a really cool ramen bar uh Min Raman which is pretty legit and then also uh an Argentinian restaurant called uh chapana uh which we sadly probably won’t visit you will see it at the end of the video if we did or not uh but we had uh this recommendation from a lot of people and it sounds really good so maybe if you’re here you can check it out also don’t forget to grab a nice beer over here now we must say that mostly they do concentrate on traditional Bru a lot of logger beer but they also have have some very surprising um Bru when it comes to especially uh Vice beer really really good ones um so don’t be afraid to experiment as usual yeah uh you can also visit these guys here um they’re called herlick they’re probably the only like Craft brewery in like a modern uh style here in heidleberg they make a really really good payale with the Mosaic cops uh also their helas is quite nice and I’m usually not a PE a person that drinks too much helis uh but that was really good and their little uh Tap Room that you will see in this video um is also really really cool they’re really friendly so you should definitely check those guys out and also don’t forget that there are also some very nice place for drinks we will show you some of them very cozy I would say that we really like to describe heidleberg as a really cozy Place yeah it’s kind of H if it would be in Scandinavia yes all right cheers guys the next stop is perfect for those who love modern craft beer herlick is a Craft Brewery located in heidleberg known for producing Regional sustainable and handmade beers they mostly focus on loggers but all with a great variety of flavors far from the industrial German helis or pills we tried their hesel with huge drinkability and subtle honey notes and the p with mosaic hops which had great citrusy and mango notes the beer is brw in hhe another District in the city which will be featured later in the video the stuff here are super friendly and the beer is probably the best in h work and after you’ve tried all of their beers which could happen don’t ask us why we know this they have several guest beers available for you to try as well Nomad Cafe is located in the previously mentioned huim District it’s a place popular with locals and visitors but especially for Bunch enthusiasts we had made a reservation for Easter brunch which was priced at €39 per person upon arrival we were welcomed with a smoothie named glow juice made with apple carrot ginger and [Music] beetroot our brunch board followed offering a wide selection of delicious items such as German Easter bread various cheeses fruits and our favorite Wild Garlic Pasto the cafe Prides itself on using locally sourced organic ingredients and you can really taste the difference for the main dishes Sandra chose the SM with bacon and eggs which was wonderfully fresh with crunchy vegetables and a perfect balance of sweet and salty [Music] flavors my gois frata was a real real Masterpiece the sweet Jam combined with the Savory goat cheese and potatoes created an amazing blend and I don’t think we have to say a lot about the banana bread for dessert just look at this the ambient in Nomad is modern and inviting perfect for a relaxed weekend meal if you plan to visit be sure to make a reservation and don’t schedule any other meals for the day you won’t have space for them after this brunch if you’re in the mood for more beer feter brow house should be on your list this place is home to the world famous fet Dron tric or feter 33 once the strongest beer in the world with an alcohal content of 10.5% this Brew is not for the faint-hearted but it’s a must try for any beer Enthusiast the record is from 1994 so obviously these days 10.5% is not even close to the strongest beer anymore and is actually quite common in craft beer we tried a flight of their beers including fet dryon DC topple Bo meron helis and hi and dun our favorites were the fet dry and dryc and the helis can you guess which of us like which beer more let us know in the comments below the brewery has a rustic traditional feel with old brewing equipment adding to its charm we enjoyed a mix of German sausages with tasty sour crab and oota a Bavarian cheese spread made of soft cheese butter and spices you’re not into sausage or sauerkraut don’t worry we have some pizza for you instead unen is a small pizza place located in Oldtown the toppings range from classic marinara to more modern interpretations you have to note that when it comes to food combinations Simona will always go for the weirdest h i mean for the most interesting one here she opted for the bacon dates and G gonzola Pizza which was fantastic with a nice sweet note from the dates my bacon and peina pizza was also a great option the slightly spicy pecorino was a nice [Music] touch as unen doesn’t serve alcohol you can visit this place after your pizza [Music] sapiens is a cozy smoke Cafe and bar just off the mar plats offering delicious specialty coffee during the day and amazing cocktails during the night Sandra went for a classic probably one of the best haers in the world [Music] theuser Simona absolutely loved their sign signature cocktail called obviously sapiens made with carrot juice almond syrup and bourbon it had a nice vegetable note with a sweet touch and a kick from the [Music] bourbon sapiens is a perfect spot for evening drinks with a lively Ambience and excellent service [Music] no food tour is complete without dessert okay cool is not just the answer to the question want to get some ice cream but also the best ice cream parlor in heidleberg this artist and ice cream shop offers a variety of unique and traditional flavors all made from scratch using high quality ingredients from classic favorites like chocolate and vanilla to more adventurous options like baked apples there’s something for everyone here the shop itself is bright and cheerful with a modern design that makes it a fun place to visit our flavors of choice were tonka bean salted caramel and lemon basil time for more beer visit Hans here’s cor falb a cool bar in the heart of heidelberg’s Old Town the menu features a mix of light and Hearty dishes all paired with fine beers from Kur falb the beers of this brand are brw by the vde brow manufacture and our flight consisted of helis calab beer viton pills and Pock the beers were all more about drinkability than bold flavors but they are perfect for enjoying that typical German gust house Vibe and none of them are too strong so you can have a couple of them per night our favorite was the viton with that typical German wheat beer hint of banana if you have a sweet dude you can’t miss sidef Brad Bakery there’s cinnamon are super tasty made with Rich buttery dough and to with a generous layer of cinnamon sugar they also offer a variety of other treats from croissant to cookies but the real star is the Walnut Maple bun which is super decadent we were on vacation so calories don’t count right the combination of Walnut and maple is just a match made in heaven so you absolutely have to try it they are really centrally located in heidleberg so expect them to be busy especially during the weekend thank you so much for watching we hope you enjoy
