I grew up hearing about you know, my mom talk about Italy and her family, my grandpa, just all these stories. It’s so great to have my daughter here and so many years of planning to come to Italy. I knowww. And here we are! And I’m glad my first time was with you, too. Ohhh, I’ve been wanting to go to Italy forever. My ancestors are from Italy. I definitely, feel like I’m able to explore my routes. Errr, I don’t know I’ve done a lot of hiking, in a lot of different areas, but this one, definitely hits the top of the list. ummm The views of the coast, the water is sooo blue! It was so nice seeing the horizon almost the whole time on the trips. You know you would look out and there’d just be vast sea. I’m from Denver, so you just don’t get that on hikes out there and, so it was such a treat. Oh! The locals have been great. So friendly, and one woman, literally gave me the shirt off of her back. We met a super fun fisherman, who was standing by all these colorful boats. That was super fun, getting to know them, they’re all, sooo ummm Easy to talk to and welcoming. It was nice that Macs offers this unique trip in Cinque Terre, because we were able to stay in the same place for a couple days and it really allowed us to immerse ourselves in the culture here and you know, have a coffee before we went hiking every morning and stop for a drink after. It just, we really felt like we were learning the ways of the Italians. I thought this was a perfect trip to do with my mom, because it offers a lot of different terrain, we both got exactly what we came here for. It was really special bringing Ally here with me, and to be able to share this with her, has just been really special, and you know, there’s no words that can describe, actually, being at a place where you’re from.
