further Ado let’s Dive Right In and escape the ordinary together very cool [Music] [Music] hi everyone excuse the noise there’s been construction going on to my left so it’s the same day what time is it it’s 12:34 p.m. we’ve been up since about 3:00 doing well we ate we’re chilling and we’re going on our hike with our lovely buddy boat salty going on a hike to I believe it’s called sportal choro something like that it’s organized by our friends they going to show us the way they’ve been there a few times apparently there’s good views and get the Drone out yeah it’ll be a nice break reconnect with Mother Nature we definitely had plenty of her this morning not the nicest side of her so to enjoy the greenery and the Stillness of land today you have some in your hair yeah so we’re going to get Ked up hop on the dingy drop rubbish off on land and then get going on the hike see you [Music] [Applause] [Music] there Bandoo mean a small island has its own share of mythological significance in ancient times it was said to be one of the places where the fans lived the fans a mythical race mentioned in her’s Odyssey were known for their exceptional seaf Fairing and dancing skills as well as their kindness to strangers according to the legend it was the fans themselves who rescued Odus after he was Shipwrecked and then helped him to return to his home in itha every time I come for a walk in Greece I am astounded by the variety in The Greenery it’s nothing like I’ve ever seen and Australia has some beautiful landscapes but I couldn’t I could sit here all day and try and count all the species of trees that I can see nothing short of magnificent if you guys know any special trees in the region let me know I’d love to become more familiar with the species oh she fantastic beautiful place I’m coming while katam Mar does not have a direct reference in widely known Greek myths the town itself can be tied to the broader mythological tapestry of meanes and the ionian islands themselves katame with its traditional charm and historical Ambience Could Be Imagined as a place where ancient Greeks might have found Refuge or Solace it’s easy to picture a Wandering hero stopping in catam Mar sharing tales of adventure and receiving Hospitality from the warm-hearted locals just as Odus was received by the [Music] fans wow the bag is nice I like the tur the turquoise one how much okay give you a deal [Music] okay back can’t go wrong with this beautiful beautiful bag this lovely woman she waves in herself with a lurm it’s my favorite color too [Music] new addition I lost my other one the cruise paths LED them to the Charming town where history and Hospitality intertwined here they met a kind soul who shared her crafts much like the mythical fans who selflessly aided Odus [Music] the leaping sheepies how are you finding the walk oh yeah I needed it oh yeah exhilarating I mean I was tired at the start after no sleep last night but there a VI wow the collection of wild flowers here is just another suing theme what is it yellow Bells any horticulturalists care to inform us what do you think of that viewer by the way that Vista back there and over here too oh how lucky are we waiting for response good how you doing Sam I’m sort of little Bright Day amazing views yeah only a few cars here and there [Music] how are you finding the walkies I’m loving it actually I think I really needed it to clear my head that’s exactly what Dad said oh really yeah there some glasses stay now cuz there some dark circles under my eyes from what oh just like crazy night that we had last night morning does anyone remember oh well morning yeah that was ages ago our destination is marked as that way let’s see how we go who’s making all that noise hi grazing in a field right now I love sheep oh the baby this one is yourself go different yeah bye there yet almost [Music] with cat’s warmth behind them they journeyed on to SP Chi a town where ancient watchtowers once stood and where the gods themselves vves very well may have watched over these very same Waters oh my God the chy we made it oh we’ve reached the top of the mountain no was it it was actually quite a pleasant walk we were a little bit tired starting off but uh we kind of got got our it’s got a blood pumping and the view is well worth it it’s absolutely gorgeous and it’s so calm I would tell you it’s never think any wind last night whatsoever at the peak of spart CH they found themselves surrounded by Whispers of ancient tales perched on a hill with stunning views of the surrounding sea this town can be linked to Tales of ancient Mariners and watchful Gods according to local Legend the lookout from spart Chi was used by the ancient Greeks to spot incoming ships to discern whether they were friends or foes it’s even said that the gods themselves would sometimes take mortal form and appear at these Vantage points to observe the actions of the humans below imagine Athena the goddess of wisdom and warfare standing at the spart chury Lookout keenly watching over the sailors and guiding them strategically through the waters before them pretty cool right with ancient Tales discussed let’s dive into some more modern ones Marcus just told us that this island ahead of us used to belong to Aristotle Onasis who was a big ship owner ship company there’s confirmation but now it it belongs to a Russian oligarch it’s pretty lovely too it’s protected look at the water from here you get the most magnificent view back check it’s actually least because Aristotle put in his Testament of the island that if it should only belong to family and that if his children or his kin can no longer afford it then it should be given back to the Greek state so right now it’s being leased by that oligarch daughter Bill Gates tried to buy Georgia Armani as well not to be confused with the large island behind it just a small one island of scorpus or something along those lines very interesting bit of History we’re so grateful to be experiencing all of this in early spring because there’s no one here we saw maybe five locals in the town uh on the the way up same in this town about two or three people few people on the road on the way but nobody traveling we spoke to Marcus and CA they said they’ve been here in High season and it’s just packed full of people so not only are we Super Lucky but so are you guys hopefully we get to give you a bit of that the the pre-season just us little intimate Vibes it’s beautiful so thank you for being here I’m going to enjoy my sandwich and I think we’re going to start uh heading back back to the boat might be time for a little little swim we’ll see how we go their hike filled with natural magnificence mythical history Seas of wild flowers and Symphonies of noisy sheep the crew soon found themselves on the way back to Trinity tired yet somehow entirely fulfilled [Music] [Music] yeah Supermarket maybe in like Skyrim or something Ye Old Tav I thought the wiring on my boat was bad look got look at that this is the Greek way yeah truly ain’t got nothing on that oh [Music] no didn’t know which one of those smile me here’s a pretty princess [Music] he say it’s where rocks go to Die the rock graveyard yeah they say bye-bye and then they get to people watch for the rest of their lives hi this way almost back to the pult almost home guys soon [Music] do you hear that it’s the sound of water we are almost home we made it did you have a lovely day amazing day me too let’s go back to the boat we’ve gone through the whole spectrum of human emotions in less than 24 hours all five stages of grief the day’s Adventure left them with many Newfound mythical stories and as the sun began to fall asleep the crew followed suit let’s check in oh we hope you enjoyed a wonderful episode of exploring engaging with some local culture and Designs some beautiful animals um secluded walking trails I mean it was just us interacted with some cool humans some magnificent viewers I mean let us know your favorite down below was it the Vista was it seeing the ocean through up on the hill was it the view of the town was at the animals let us know it’s really interesting knowing what everybody kind of takes away from each video with all that being said we are all in for a well-deserved rest I’m going to have a quick dip and cool down my body we’re heading out tomorrow as I said we’ll be filming ourselves leaving This Magnificent Anchorage that served as our home and challenge that was this episode of around the islands in 80 Days we hope you enjoyed from the entire sailing Trinity crew I think my other two counterparts have gone straight to Betty bu I don’t blame them we’ll see you guys next episode bye after enduring the tempestuous nature of Mother Earth that morning the crew indulged in her more nurturing side this afternoon basking in her sunlet glow they meet anded through cobbled streets held by vibrant buildings and blanketed in the warmth of local talents before ending the day breathing in the stunning Vistas that Mark the island here in mean SE the crew Rel lived more elements of A’s YY through the Charming town of katam mar and the ancient Lookout of spari marked by the presence of the fans and the watchful gods of old during the next episode as they journey to Fado on the island of calonia where their attempts at land Discovery become interrupted not once but twice by pesky troubles aboard if youve enjoyed this episode give us a like to show your appreciation which moment today stood out to you the most and what ancient t Tes do you think our next destination will reveal let us know in the comments we can’t wait to escape the ordinary with you 1. What an incredibly beautiful view from that Vista. It does look as if you all made some truly wonderful memories together. This episode had a nice flow to it you are doing great with all of the new equipment you picked up. I am also glad to hear you were each able to get a good night's rest before setting sail the following day. After all, a well-rested and well-fed sailor is a happy sailor. Awaiting next week's episode as always, looking forward to what we all get to share with you. Those 80 Days are going to go by so quickly… until then, with you all every step of the way.

  2. Again – Awesome ep! Loving this season 😊.
What you called "yellow bell" looks like Mullein to me – dried & drank as a tea it is amazing for treating respiratory conditions. It should go without saying positive plant I.D required before consuming.
    Keep up the great work.

  3. Too funny! We hiked up to that same village about 3 weeks ago and I bought a purse from the same lady. She really knows how to tear at your heart strings! She makes beautiful purses though. We love Meganisi so much.

  4. FABULOUS scenery guys! You guys are surrounded by beautiful nature at all times ☺️ super jelly. Keep em coming so I feel like I’m living my best Greece life with y’all Xxx

  5. So glad your getting off the boat to stretch your legs.. funny all the times i have been to that island I have never walked over to Sparatachori. Might have to do that soon. just 49 days to my own 90day Greek odyssey again. Fiskardo is fun before it becomes mobbed with tourists. I dont even try to dock in the town.. i stay tied back to the wall out past the last finger..less headachs… and have you tried Geocaching? there are many on the islands. and its a great way to go to places you never would have thought to go.. as locals put them in amazing places. one took us into an old church that we never would have found without looking for the geocache. and hey it stretches the legs and gets you off the boat. good to wear off some of that Mythos and Kleftico. How is the water temp? normally its still chilly a bit right now… but should be warming up fast.. Being Canadian though we go swimming there in November. who am i kidding.. we go year round just not after a big rain… its so cold.
