Taste Testing Some Cyprus Market Food: Dried Vegetable

[Music] here we are paos Cyprus we’re going to try something else to to eat um now this isn’t my thing even if it wasn’t dried but it’s dried vegetables everybody in no stand knows he doesn’t like vegetables now the lady here really wants me to try it she can try it there is testers but I don’t want to try it I want to try it on camera later on is is this a snack what what vegetable chip snack oh okay I think this is going to be really nice Instagram if you want okay tell everyone what your Instagram is I don’t want to try it oh I’m going to try one I’m going to try one thank yous this withraw I love them as well M very nice strawberry Cuts that’s strange I love them too please thank you very much here we go so that’s the Instagram we have the traditional product you should you toast I’ve bought some over there yeah different flavors thank you so much what is this in is this just marshmallow marshmallows why is it so expensive though that’s expensive for marshmallow isn’t it yeah now I did see earlier like a um I forget what it’s called like a curry mix thing but I can’t see it here now so it is ooh 4 days later I think yeah roughly about yes I think I can take that off actually I think I can take those off found a nice little corner but is you’re going to hear a little bit of traffic noise and maybe an airon unit yeah there’s airon behind you just trying to find a quiet corner where we can fill yeah uh all up near the pool is busy yeah bit noisy so that was the market wasn’t it they Water Festival Market strip all the way up and down there and I’d have lik to have known the proper name for it it can’t have just been called Water Festival I think we didn’t we didn’t see anything to do with water but a lot of people did tell us it was called the water uh Water Festival so yeah so we don’t know yeah maybe it was because it was next to the water but it was definitely on on that bank holiday weekend so it’s something to do with the bank holiday weekend yeah yeah so if you want to find a time to get there that’s the best time so anyway from that market we’ve got um some treats Lords of treats this is one of a few videos we will be trying to do for 10 minute little Clips won’t we just to add a second video on an on an evening for you a much shorter one yeah um just to try some of the foods we got from there yes now the first one is what you saw as buying I’m really not looking forward to trying this you know what I’m like with vegetables Mazy but I’ll give it a go you don’t like vegetables so that cost F5 about 30 maybe 4 not far off there well done thank you um we did think that might be the name of what they call these dried vegetables but it isn’t that’s the name of the company um established in 1983 so we’ve been going for quite a while now I have had things like this before like I think it’s called Tyler’s crisps back home the FID ones I love them you get slices of this slices of that but in this you’re actually getting a more variety I think we counted about seven vegetables in this didn’t we well we’re going to find out we don’t know if they’re sweet sa so this is going to be interesting Also let’s see what we should have brought a PL oh can well can use the lid use the lid I can smell them I think I think some of them are going to be my cup of tea there’s something in there I’m unsure M so you’re thinking these are going to be like the vegetable crisps you get back home yeah I think my favorite is going to be the beetroot and possibly the carrot what do you think your favorite definitely be true what do you think your worst might be that yeah ocra is it is it called ocra don’t know what that is a so these are dried fet yeah they they I forget that term when you dry food out but they are dried so these are snacks they’re not like for your dinner plate or anything like that so should we give these a go I’m getting hungry now we we are actually off for something to eat after the we are we’re going to go for some lunch would you like to try that your favorite or the worst one fav up straight into um beetroot so I’m not going to be beating masses amount of it I just want to try these you can see the flavor on those actually you can let me show you [Music] closeup can you see that it’s got like little yellow bits on it and I can certainly see salt on there it looks like salt pepper and maybe paprika or something there’s different definitely spices on there I can’t work out exactly what they are so like I said I’m only going to be trying tiny bits we’ve off to lunch go on then you go first go first I feel like I’m going to love this yeah yeah I knew I would does it taste like the crisps I want to say a little bit more realer if you know what I mean by that I’m just sucking flavors off first now you’re left with a plain old foring vegetabl no on other side I’m not stupid they taste a bit more realer like like a real fidge dried out fidge rather than the tius Chris I think it’s tyus somebody correct me if not no I could eat those the flavor on it is really nice yeah but the actual it’s really hard not like the crisps you get back home in England it’s really quite crunchy now I don’t actually like beetroot but I do like the crisp beetroot I love it not bad not bad also something that we did buy also for snacks to try which we can’t show you now cuz we actually ate them last night stop saying actually you must have said it 10 times then actually did I so we brought a tub of these kind of a same sort of tub and they had like little round puy crisp in and can’t do that on camera because we’re already eting them and they were nice really don’t know exactly they type things so I’m going to try a carrot I think they’re carrots no that might not be make sure it’s a carrot should we just share you take a bite I take a bite no I want me on I’m very fussy with me carrots okay so again you can see a few things on it including a bit of green speckle on this one yeah are the flavored the same that’s what I’m wondering quite similar they”re all very similar yeah so the flavoring on them I think is the same but you’re getting the same taste through that’s much better I’ll tell you what so far what I’m thinking is these are a really good healthy snack give them to your children you don’t mind them eating dried old carrot if my mom’s watching M I like my carrot so that’s that’s really crunch that’s softer it’s easier to eat yeah so that’s I like that two vegetables we’ve tried so far I’m guessing it depends how long they’ve dried them out for us to how crumb hard they’re going to be sorry I had a hair in my mouth right that I have no idea but we need to try the same ones now in case you can’t find one I’ve got a bigger you got one okay right lime it better not be cucumber be cucumber don’t be cucumber you don’t like cucumber do you okay that’s my favorite so far actually whatever that is somebody if you if you know let us know nothing think I don’t know if it is yeah I think it is cucumber there’s an after taste I’m not sure about actually so just have a sip of water to to me they’ve all tasted the same so far very similar right if a woman’s just sat down and painted them all and made them look like different vegetables that’s three vegetables we’ve tried so I don’t know if we can find another one of these it’s that one is it you’ve got the best bit I’m not sure really what this is is it yeah looks the same yeah yeah I’ve got a much bigger piece I’m hungrier ready what is that is that orene crunchier m not sure about that one oh no I’m not sure about that one can’t get in it it’s like Black Rock teeth breaker that one so how many is that now 1 two three four don’t like that no let’s go for one of these so we’re going to go for one of these they just look like a PE and a pod that’s because it’s a pee in a pod or a bean no it’s a PE a bean is it a it’s a green bean a green bean yeah it’s the be ago plenty of flavor on that one two three four five M okay I like that cuz it’s Hollow it’s a bit like a w biting into a what we about the cheese flavor I’m actually going to go back for a second bit I like that I like that one actually that’s probably my favorite so by doing this you can actually then judge to which ones you feel like it’s worth drying out is it yeah have you like doing this kind of drying outfit oh well you’re looking at it like I see you got the smallest one though at size of it that ain’t small for a vegetable I don’t like but I’ll tell you what I bet I’m going to like this because it they all taste the same apart from that minging last one so I think this is actually our last vegetable stop saying that I think this is our last vegetable to try oh my God what you like it I think that’s me favorite no it’s actually got the seeds inside it yeah is it ocra I don’t know what it is someone tell us in the comments please it’s a bit messy when you bite into it it crack it wants to crack it’s messy but it’s nice it just wants to crack in all directions that’s me favorite no can’t believe that’s my favorite no I like a green pee so the one for me was definitely the P first whatever that was whatever it was a cucumber and then the beetroot I think we’ve tried them all yeah I think we have I think there was seven but surprisingly a good healthy snack I thought they were going to go in the bin after this but they’re not no I’ll eat them don’t know about you uh just that one I didn’t like yeah and for me I W Kean on that whatever that was I can’t figure out what that is so yeah I actually enjoyed that little taste test so someone tell us is this a something you can get all over Cyprus is it a Cyprus thing yes it is yeah it’s all local stuff you say yeah I know but is it something Cyprus sell a lot of dried vegetables don’t know is it something they do eat as a snack I’m I’m relatively impressed M and for the5 as well 5 y off yeah cuz that takes a lot of effort to dry all those out as well so yeah that was really good you want to wrap this one up and we’ll move on to our next 10-minute video we’ve got a few snacks to try here today let’s tell them what the next one’s going to be oh on no oh on I’ve seen something no oh no what’s that it looks like shrimp I don’t know it might I don’t know taste same as all they all taste same to me let me taste it I’m not sure what that is right it’s puppy coming up on the next taste test don’t show them all don’t show them all don’t need maybe the next one no just the next one it’s going to be these little Beauties just them just them just
