hey guys it’s Lauren basically I’m in Germany for 3 months because I’m doing a research internship with the program RISE Germany and I have the day off today so I decided to come to Schwerin which is the capital of Mecklenburg-Vorpommern which is the state in Germany that I’m staying at and I’m just here by myself and I’m really scared to film in public I just got off the train here and now I’m trying to find a restaurant so I can get lunch and I’m just kind of hiding in some bushes so I can talk to the camera but yeah hopefully I can film what I do today it’s my first day trip there is construction in this area but look at those houses they’re so cool wow I look like such a tourist cause I’m filming everything but that’s okay I’m going to get lunch I think this is a church not sure I might come back to it after I eat I keep getting distracted sorry I’m filming every 10 seconds but I don’t know how to cross I heard that you should not jaywalk in Germany but like how do I get there I’ll figure it out oh ok there’s people crossing maybe I can just cross sorry oh no ok anyways guys I got fish n chips from this fish stand and I really wanted to get something more German but I asked what the most popular dish is and they said fish n chips and I was panicked and kinds of was like I’ll get that but yeah I bet it’s good still but I wanted to get something more Germany ok and not British since I’m in Germany but next time I won’t panic I’ll be like but what’s your special sorry I’m not facing this camera towards me it’s kind of embarrassing still to vlog in public but I’m going to eat now this sauce is in an ice cream cone which is kinda cool this is the name of the fish stand I don’t think I got it on camera it’s called De Fischjung Fisch-yung cause J’s are pronounced as Y’s in German Europe is more beautiful than I ever could’ve imagined like I don’t know I didn’t expect it to be this nice so I’m very excited for this 3 months this is only the first week and everything already is so cool like look at this castle these are Corinthian columns ok guys I’m kinda in a waiting area so I can talk to the camera but I got my ticket for 8 euros but what’s good is that a lot of people in Germany speak English which is good so I can get around I do know how to say that in German "sprechen Sie Englisch" do you speak English I also know "wo ist die Toilette" that’s all I need right but I will learn more German ok I’m sure I’ll pick up on some things over these next few months wow look at this circular room this is the parlor room imagine having dinner in this room on one of these chairs look at this view isn’t that crazy I’m gonna go there after to the garden this room is actually insane wait let me do like a I can’t even do a 360 because it’s everywhere but let me do the best I can I don’t know what this shot is it’s kind of everywhere I’m kind of going in zig-zags now sorry for the ASMR content isn’t that crazy I actually gasped when I entered this room this is amazing I need to bring a tripod next time I go on a day trip I’m excited to see the animal paintings triptych more like drip-tych the way this be looking sorry this is a turban snail shell and it’s carved and turned into this goblet with a dragon head isn’t that cool and there’s a painting of it it’s a snail shell wait no this is a nautilus ok I think this is the front of the castle isn’t that crazy they have a thing where it looks like you’re in a painting but I’m scared to ask to get my picture taken so that’s what it looks like ok so I just finished looking at the castle and now I’m going to try to get ice cream somewhere and then journal somewhere just sit and journal somewhere for like an hour and I want to find somewhere with a really nice view so I can eat my ice cream and journal with that view but yeah bye Schloss Schwerin that’s the Schwerin museum it’s closed right now but I wish it was open just imagine what it would’ve been like if I could’ve gone it’s right next to the castle isn’t that neat but yeah I’m gonna head back to town and then try to find an ice cream place Karl’s strawberries they’re actually everywhere there’s one in my town too I want to try them before I leave cause I heard they’re really good now I’m at a German shopping mall I guess it’s just a mall but it’s German it’s a German mall so it’s special but yeah I’m not gonna buy anything I’m just here walking around I’ll find the ice cream place after this mall ok this place looks popular so I’m gonna go here Milchbar let’s get ice cream ok I got my ice cream I don’t know what flavor it is I kinda just pointed at the one that looks like that looked like it was emptiest cause that means it’s the most popular but I don’t really know where to sit I might just go back to where the castle is so I can sit there cause the view of the sea was really nice but yeah I have like 2 hours until the train comes so I’m gonna sit somewhere ok I’m on the train now going back to my internship site but it was a successful day trip stay tuned for more Germany vlogs and yeah I think this first Germany vlog was kinda rough and all over the place also I didn’t bring my tripod so that was kinda bad but that was kinda a bad decision but how about we compare the first and last Germany vlogs cause there will be an improvement I will improve ok so yeah see you
