me I think it must be just a generational issue you know these uh these machines but anyways I’m celebrating guys I uh as I was setting up this live stream about 10 minutes ago I uh suddenly noticed 27,000 subscribers so here’s to each and every one of you all the 27,000 thank you so much hang on a sec live Show’s live black screen okay black screen one second black screen okay so we are back anyways black screen you couldn’t see my reaction to you guys the 27,000 of you that um are with me on this YouTube Journey so as I was setting up the live stream I know it is 27,000 we just broke it literally so thank you so much it’s been an absolute pleasure and uh today I’m on my friend Hendrick’s summertime nice with cucumber nice and refreshing um haven’t been on for a while just give me one second sorry about this guys but then again this is a live stream right things happen live they don’t they’re not supposed to be perfect they happen live as as they happen so um yeah it’s been a while been a couple of weeks and um truth is once again and it seems to be a summer thing I uh I’m been having back problems I went to the doctors the other day turns out I’ve got a rupt disc in my back and it’s making things very very difficult especially for YouTube walking is a challenge uh going out there filming but I was out filming yesterday I’ll be out tomorrow morning and the video for Sunday should be ready and I think it’s going to be a fun one so let’s just look at the U early messages an an hi Alice PR shy good evening my friend um don’t forget to like okay um Justin I’m off to relas you next week inspired by you keep up the good work my friend you know what thank you so much for sharing that because the the whole point of this channel uh was really to to motivate to inspire people to travel to experience to to dare to get you know into different cultures and and see see what you know what the world is like what else is out there so when I get messages like that it’s really mission accomplished and I really really truly appreciate that elender my friend how are you um laan summer Elliot Noble thank you I am enjoying this summer we had a fantastic Yanni Lego and Yanni holiday for those of you who don’t know what that is um one probably the B biggest holiday of the year I will say probably even bigger than Christmas here in lvia is the midsummer the summer solstice which is celebrated on the 23rd to the 24th so a big thing here in laia and name days just as important as a birthday so depending on what day of the year your what your name is you’ll have a designated day in the calendar year where your name is celebrated and whoever you know with that name you gift them something like a box of chocolates flowers whatever it may be so it’s a big deal um and on the 23rd is Lego’s name day or Liga Liga is the actual name Lio is just L the change the endings and Yanni or Janis um which is also probably the most popular Lan name and if your name is Janis you wear one of these cabbages on your head which I did a couple of years ago so yeah it was um Lego and Yan holiday went to the countryside I relaxed I had no camera with me it could have made some great footage but I needed a break no camera no computers no nothing I just sat in the countryside relaxed the Sun was shining uh some bathed a little bit I got a bit of a tan I tan quickly so that’s a good thing and literally spent the whole day um sipping some Tinto de Verano we made ourselves which is a mixture of wine with with uh uh in Spain they mix it with casser but you can use Sprite or 7even up uh probably 50/50 wine and seven up I like to go a bit more heavy on the wine and it’s the perfect summer drink and I was just lazing around in the sun with my drinks having barbecued Meats the most phenomenal barbecue ever and uh yeah it’s been a fantastic week actually and I’m going back to the countryside this weekend as well so but not before I uh I go out and make footage for this Sunday because YouTube is a hungry Beast a hungry Beast that likes to get fed and if you don’t feed it it kind of like throws you out it spits you out so we got to make sure that no matter what YouTube gets fed and um but on the other hand me being the toughest algorithm out there I won’t just put any video up I I really have to enjoy the video I have to make sure that it’s something I would want to watch before I put it out there so but I’ve already started filming and I’m super excited about it and I think um I think it’s going to work out to be a a good video let’s see what else we got here um vo in no video okay black yep let’s see is it in cilic or is it in in Latin okay is Mo I understood every Everything But must I’m not sure where it is let me know where must is my friend Dino but um to you too H yeah go on let’s let’s let’s tackle some questions and I’ll tell them a little bit because it’s the middle of the year now it’s the month of June it’s when I like to stop for a minute and it’s the middle of the year so this is really my time where I kind of like look at what I decided I was going to do for the year and I like to take this break halfway through 6 months in so it’s kind of like um the exact moment when I like to revise the year make sure that everything I wanted to do I still want to do and I’m not just running on some treadmill and also make sure that what I want to do and still want to do is getting done because it still gives me a lot of time to to change things around so I like to do a revision mid year so yeah go ahead let me know what what the people are saying ah Bosnia Bosnia very nice very nice Dino from Bosnia we have people from all over the world isn’t this fascinating I absolutely love that how is my lvan learning going how is your lvan learning going by Kiko lovera hopefully you will stop using Russian well my friend that’s not going to happen I will use Russian I think it’s a fantastic language I spent a lot of time learning it and now I’m learning my laan and I think you will be surprised I’m advancing rather well and rather quickly so stay tuned to see that but um but yeah I can understand the whole issue here that’s going on between the Russian language use it don’t use it but it’s just a language and uh to me it’s just something it’s it’s a a skill that I learned and developed and I value and it’s brought me a lot of opportunities a lot of good and it’s for me it’s like French Spanish Russian uh you know it’s just one of those things that I learned and and I love to use it’s nothing political it’s just a language my friend yeah and if you if you uh if if you want to know my journey on um my lvan language actually uh I hold a weekly live stream three times a month um for a group that are part of the Speak Easy the Justin Speak Easy club and we meet three times a month and I really show my technique and share my technique for learning languages and we’re advancing pretty well pretty fast and we’ve the laian language is progressing okay so I’ve inspired you that’s nice PR so many places many bars many restaurants you’re going to the um to the fish market in Batumi a fabulous place um you can get some fresh fish go around the corner get it cooked but don’t let them abuse you if you’ve watched the video you know exactly what I’m talking about expect service if you order from them say bring me the salad and the fish together don’t bring me the fish and then the salad as a dessert which is what happened to me so and uh they can be a little bit kind of like aggressive as well so don’t let don’t let them uh take advantage just hold your Hold Your Position and and make sure you get what you want and how you want it demand that it’s important mhm okay so um someone saw me who was it Paul’s Paul’s Paul’s Burmont saw me riding the red scooters yeah I like those red scooters I because I used to ride all of them the red the green ones the green ones are super dangerous they got small wheels and as you know the Pavements in Ria are not the best there’s a lot of potholes and last year I had a disaster of an accident with the green ones so now I try and just ride the red ones they have bigger Wheels you know they handle the poth holes much better they’re more comfortable um but yeah I during the summer I’m I’m dashing all over Ria just on those red scooters they’re super convenient um how much do I pay rent for my Ria apartment I have a big apartment in Ria my friend it’s a very big apartment um but I’m not going to share details like that online because I think I got me a good deal um but well actually I know I got myself a nice deal it’s it’s a fair deal but it’s a big apartment it’s a comfortable apartment it’s um it’s big it’s big so that’s just the living room and then over there there’s a whole dining area and then there’s a kitchen and then a bedroom on that wing and then there’s a bedroom on that side over there and two on Suite separate bathrooms it’s a lovely apartment right in the center of town it’s one of those old buildings so it’s a really hot day today in Ria it’s like 29° 30° I’ve got a thermometer at the window actually just giving one second I’m just curious to see what the temperature is right now and it’s already like almost what 7:30 in the sun guys right now in the sun 44° it’s showing 44° in the Sun and I’m sat at home no way condition but because it’s an old building built in the beginning of the last century the war walls are about that thick I kid you not they’re that thick so the insulation is just unbelievable um so yeah love this apartment so here’s to the apartment it’s always nice to come home I travel a lot I travel to many places but to come home to Ria and to come home to this place I absolutely love it so Alice wants to know Alice is my sister by the way she wants to know what am I drinking right now I’m on Hendrix which is a gin um with tonic and slices of cucumber which pairs perfectly with this gin the cucumber and this gin just pairs perfectly together and in the summer it’s so refreshing and nice it’s really fresh yeah so Shai’s asking about the T-shirt right this is uh this is not a line of t-shirts this was gifted to me last year on my birthday in Bulgaria I was I celebrated my birthday in Bulgaria last year um lot of fun was it last year or the year before I think it was last year and uh and yeah my friends gifted it to me uh with a hoodie and a cap that says just in Eastern Europe subscribe however I have started a line of t-shirts um called um well basically I’ve I’ve done it on the kapi theme basically so it’s hangover cure with the kapi and also kapuri time uh the merch I I advertised it in the last video it’s not ready yet but if you catch the last video there’s a link in the description you can pre-order you’ll get a discount if you pre-order uh but as soon as they’re ready I’m definitely going to be wearing them on the video because you know there’s a couple of things I’m going to do a line of of things that are typical just in Eastern Europe so kapuri there’s going to be moonshine uh there’ll be pickles um there’ll be caviar and um and probably the smoked fish as well so I’m not quite sure yet how to make all that into interesting t-shirts but I’ve been working on the kapuri one now for for about a month it looks great and uh unfortunately I didn’t upload a picture but I think I can get a picture up there later so yeah but this this was a gift greetings from Vana surprised to see me smoke uh I’m not mate I’ve been smoking for a long long time I’ve been smoking for how long now oh boy 30 yeah 36 37 years took a break of 10 years went back on the cigarettes and then I discovered these things which do the trick they’re not as bad they don’t destroy the house with the smell and everything else and the best thing about this you can smoke them in hotels they don’t find you they don’t even know so yeah got to get my nicotine you know am I planning on coming to kakow or kov or Poland anytime soon yes absolutely I was there about a month ago uh in Warsaw I’m planning another trip um probably either in September or I might do a getaway in a August I’m not sure yet I absolutely love traveling to Poland it’s one of my favorite countries and uh crao is also one of my favorite cities so I definitely will be there soon stay tuned for that together in an amazing restaurant um and it was just phenomenal so don’t be shy Reach Out how often do I use what how often do I use food deliveries in lvia um let me tell you I don’t I really don’t because I love to cook for me it’s not a chore for me it’s an absolute pleasure if I’m stressed just put me in a kitchen give me an onion start chopping I’ll start crying and nobody will know if it’s because of the onion or because of the way I’m feeling um but you know when I’m there cooking it really focuses my mind it takes me away from all the stress and everything else that might be going on in in my life so no I don’t use food deliveries I think the last time I got a food delivery was I think it was just before I traveled to Brussels and it wasn’t a delivery that I ordered it was a young man who served me at the Cigar Lounge at the kinsky hotel and he opened an Indian kind of like takeaway kind of place and he said I want you to try it and if you like it feature it in your YouTube channel and I got to say the food was phenomenal um and I think he deserves it the guy works super hard he’s a he’s a business student here he holds down two jobs and he’s ventured into opening a takeaway uh the guy’s a machine he works Non-Stop and I absolutely love to support these things so um yeah that was the last time I ate food that was delivered to me uh I do eat out quite a bit I like restaurants and things like that but if I’m eating at home you better believe I’m going to be cooking it from the salad to the main course to the dessert everything as a matter of fact tomorrow I’m creating myself a feast I absolutely love Middle Eastern food food I’m actually soaking right now I’ll show you just give me a second let me show you I’m currently soaking chickpeas you see this chickpeas and they’re soaking for 24 hours I’ll just put them down here and tomorrow I’m creating myself an absolute Feast I’m going to be making um oh fried eggplant falafal humus uh tahini dip and an eggplant Salad called mbuka and I’m going to make my own breads as well my own peter breads to go with it so as you can go in there and really scoop and make yourself a nice stuffed sandwich so I’m still debating whether I should record it and make a video out of it or not um why don’t you guys let me know in the comments right now if you think it’d be a good idea because my cooking videos don’t always do great but I don’t judge my videos based upon how many views they get I judge my videos on based on two things one did I enjoy making it and two did I enjoy watching it um then if it makes a lot of views and and does great that’s fantastic if it doesn’t well it’s also fantastic you know at least I enjoyed making it so let me know what you think I’m going to make aaf um you know it’s going to be a feast so and I try and get it around cuz I love Middle Eastern food however nobody can make it as good as I make it so um it’s going to be phenomenal so a question is why did I decide to live in Ria instead of Talon or vus um I used to live in vus I I was 6 months in vus another phenomenal City loved it I was 6 months in vus before I came to live in Ria so there were a few criterias when I decided to choose the city I would live in first of all I love Ria the the architecture here is phenomenal the vibe of the city is great it’s very uh very small City in the sense that everything is accessible reachable you know you can walk everywhere even if it’s freezing cold outside 3 minute walk I’m in a supermarket 3 minute work I’m in a restaurant in a bar wherever I need to be and it’s absolutely fantastic and I’m looking dark on the screen right now cuz the sun’s coming through um but I decided to to choose Ria uh because of the airport at the time the airport in Ria was really happening you had rer you had whiz you had air Baltic um there was even uh Norwegian at the time and you could literally get anywhere you wanted from any day of the week um but things have changed dramatically you know during covid it just went all to [ __ ] actually um whiz closed down their Hub here so there’s only one flight twice a week from Ki in Georgia to Ria um there’s only two airlines that fly to London you’ve got R A that will stick you all the way in the east in stanstead which is a nightmare to get back to London and uh and you’ve got air Baltic which will fly to Gatwick which is much better actually but there was a lot more choice in the past and that was a a criteria for me was choosing uh a city that had easy access to airports I got kids that live in London in Spain um you know so I always am traveling and that was an important criteria now it’s all gone to [ __ ] but now Ria has just become my home really I love the place it’s it’s a phenomenal city um and yeah so that’s really how how it all happened and Talon I mean also a great City but why not be in the middle of the baltics I can be four hours in Talon four hours in in vus and um I just really like like the vibe of Ria so I get this qu I get this question a lot and bear in mind guys have I ever traveled to to Central Asia usbekistan Tajikistan uh you know Kazakhstan um back in the late ’90s earlys when I worked in the investment banking business I focused primarily on central eastern Europe and Russia and all the countries of the former Soviet Union so we traveled extensively um but what people don’t understand is that as a YouTuber I still need to catch up I still need to get to many countries I mean uh Turkmenistan is one that I’m working on to maybe get there in September I have a friend from turkistan who is quite high up and trying to get me in on a as a delegation for tourism so we’ll see if that happens and obviously if I do that I’ll be doing it through usbekistan which is a neighboring country uh and if we go to usbekistan my God guys what are we going to do what we go to Tashkent we go to Samaran we have the one of the most phenomenal kitchens in the world and I can’t wait to get there and share all this with you have I been to cesis um yes I have and that’s one of the places that I do have a video of if you um if you check out uh on the thumbnail it says and in Italian because I flew all the way to cesis from Ria in a plane with a friend of mine I flew the plane and uh we went um to tesis specifically to have lunch in the most amazing Italian restaurant ever and I tell you I love Italian food I’m a big fan of Italian food I love to eat it and I love to cook it and let me tell you something even though Italian food is made of very simple ingredients it’s Mediterranean it’s simple getting it right is difficult especially in Eastern Europe they’ll botch the pasta you know they’ll cook it to buggery till it’s like complete mash um the sauces they they don’t have that that freshness to it and everything else they’ll just pour some some sauce from a jar and unfortunately that’s not what I call Italian food so I went to tessis on a recommendation to go and see an Italian restaurant over there and I tell you for me to find myself in the small town of tessis to experience Italian food that I never experienced before in such a quality was absolutely phenomenal it was an absolute dream I mean I I was literally Gob smacked so check out the video is I’m wearing sunglasses I think I’m by the plane in the thumbnail it’s there andamo in Italian because we were going to tessis by plane and uh but I’ve also visited there you know as a tourist the amazing remainders of the fort that was uh you know sieged by Ivan the Terrible and then you know the story of the people in there that pretty much blew themselves up rather than fall to the hands of Ivan the Terrible it’s great history fantastic City very beautiful the lake there is unbelievable First Time I Ever Saw swans cuz you know swans always travel in peirs you know there’s always two swans first time I saw a black and a white swan going together um and I’ll for some reason that was just something that I remembered uh from that trip but yeah tessis by all means guys if you travel to lvia there were so many great cities other than Ria in the fall in the Autumn you’ve got to see siga in the spring you have to to see ciga um cesis is a fantastic City to see anytime do which is not too far from there as well fantastic architecture great remains of a fort there as well so uh a lot of history a lot of uh a lot of architecture to visit here in in lva so when you come to lva don’t just go for RIA spread out hop on a bus buy a ticket to who knows where look at the board and say I’m going to go there who knows what’s there who cares what’s there enjoy the journey are we disconnected I think we are reconnecting hang about let me call again I have lost connection with my assistant which which which which that’s got to be the one yeah it’s this one okay so let’s see if she’s not answering we will how often do you use food deliveries now we did that okay no I guess they must have lost connection never mind anyways just give me a second guys cuz I’m trying to reconnect here because problem is I’m looking at this screen and the writing is so small and I cannot uh I stressed over it I used to get so frustrated now it’s like well you know what if it works phenomenal if it doesn’t work phenomenal too just have another drink and it all works out see that’s the problem I’m getting people calling me through the phone and they knock me off and I don’t know why I need to change the settings I put the phone on do not disturb yet the calls still come through cuz I use my phone as the camera for these live streams because the quality is better than the camera indoors although I don’t know I look I look really dark here I’ve got all this backlight coming through but um never never mind never mind so let’s keep going so um yeah so I would say it’s kapori pickles moonshine uh black bread with uh with herring um and caviar it’s got to be the caviar too so caviar time which is not necessarily a uh a cure for for a hangover but it’s definitely uh one of my passions so mhm who’s asked if they can message me Brian King you’re not nice can you message me well you know what the thing is that people PE people that are not nice with would never say they’re not nice so I know you’re just kidding um so absolutely message me because it sounds like you and I have the similar s sense of humor so by all means message me cmk went on his trip to Ria a few weeks ago what a lovely town you know what I’m happy you feel that way I don’t if you had it planned or it’s something that you saw in the videos that made you want to go but it’s it’s an absolute treasure it’s so underrated you know and I always say Ria you got to understand this one thing it’s a beautiful city it’s a magnificent City during the Soviet times it was the Riviera of the Soviet Union it was the place where the elites used to go and party it was the dream to travel to the baltics to riaa to urala the coast of Ria and it was extremely prestigious you have no idea and then now that they’re out of the Soviet Union they’re now part of the European Union and they’re just so obscure you have no idea how often I’ll say to people it happened to me last week actually oh lvia yep yep yep I was speaking to someone in Spain Leonia ah see Lithuania no not Lithuania not Lithuania lva they always get confused with Lithuania Poland even Russia so it’s a shame that it’s such an obscure country in in uh in Europe but um there’s a reason why it was the Riviera of the Soviet Union so get over here guys message me let’s meet up let’s have some drinks let’s have some good times some great food I’ll show you all the best places so yeah I’m waiting oh Tracy your your lvan grandmother was from tessis you’re going to visit next year well why don’t we visit it together I think it’ll be phenomenal it’ll be a great trip and unfortunately the Italian restaurant that I visited is no longer there but I hear they opened the Delhi so maybe will just pick up some perfect ingredients and cook up a fantastic Italian meal because I tell you it’s a phenomenal City and any excuse to go there I will take ah Rodeo Jones just did a week in Ria saying the city is amazing I couldn’t agree age more with you my friend it’s absolutely phenomenal as I just said it’s a great place to visit so I’m happy you had a good time it means a lot to me especially because a lot of my subscribers kind of watch my videos before they go and I hope it gives them a true insight about the place but also gives them the opportunity to arrive and really take advantage full advantage of their holidays because they already have an idea what to do where to go what to try what to eat what to drink so that stay tuned for that between Georgia and lva which is best to visit first oh they both phenomenal countries I mean I love them both they’re both countries that I would consider living in one of them I do live in um it’s hard to say mate I mean you should have them both on your bucket list and toss a coin heads lvia Tails uh Georgia but make sure that you do achieve both because they’re both phenomenal cities uh when to expect me in Armenia again I am possibly planning a trip to the caucuses to your part of the world uh end of August maybe or beginning of September that being the case I will uh I’ll make an announcement beforehand so make sure you follow me on Instagram which is where I kind of like put posts of where I am what I’m doing um because on on YouTube kind of like just make videos and then post them a couple of weeks later but if you want to know a true understanding of where I’m at what I’m doing and and follow my stories and and reals and so on follow me on just looked at the thermometer at my window and you’ll have a very nice summer where you might even need a fan some nights just to keep you cool but on the 1st of September the summer’s gone there’s no kidding here it’s like clockwork first of September there is no summer um in October you might get a couple of weeks like what they call the an Indian summer um I don’t know what they call it in in in lvia and I know the name in Russian it’s they have the same thing it’s called babila but it’s basically a like an Indian summer it revises in October but then you can say goodbye to the sunshine it where the weather is a bit milder and then it’s always nice to come back to the snowy weather where it all looks nice and and white um whilst everybody is already fed up with it for you it’s all new the channel is all about I know that if I can just deliver quality and useful information and a form of entertainment then uh the rest will take care of itself it might take a year it might take another five years I’m not racing here so you know I when I hear that kind of uh feedback I realize that I’m doing my job correctly so I really really appreciate that my friend okay looks like I’m in need of a topup of My Gin tonic so I just need to get some ice stay with me for a minute type some questions I see we’re out of questions type some questions whatever tickles your fancy ask me I’m my favorite Beer Garden in the old town There’s a really nice one that I like to go to Simply for historic reasons all right uh they got a great variety of beers um but there’s a place called two more beers they have two locations the the original location which is right by the convent shetta or whatever it is um and the reason why I like it there because you can sit on the Terrace and the setting is absolutely amazing you’re sitting in a courtyard that was used uh in many films during the Soviet times that’s how beautiful it is um really renowned films such as Sherlock Holmes um The Three Musketeers dartanion and what you have to realize is that during those days Not only was Ria a place for the elites and you know it was really the the place to visit it was also a if you like a Hollywood studio an outdoor Studio a lot of films were recorded here because of the beauty because of the cobblestones and you know I I feel uh sometimes that lvia should do more in promoting that because they could give Czech Republic or run for their money when it comes to settings for for um for Hollywood sets and everything else so let’s hope let’s hope they do cheers guys oh I just noticed Ally says what about cheers good point we’re doing this in English cheers what are we talking it seems very boring until unless you’re retired and Rich what are we talking about Ria oh yan yan seems very boring unless you’re retired and Rich uh I’m neither and I tell you I wasn’t bored but then again I I I um I’m the type of person that just does not get bored I cannot be bored put me anywhere you want I won’t be bored um it’s just my character I’ll speak to people I’ll mingle with people I’ll find myself in someone’s house partying with them uh I never met them I only just got to meet them you know it’s just who I am so um it may seem that way but I was not bored in Yan by no means absolutely not I mean I met a subscriber in a supermarket and then we went out drinking that night and two days later he’s taken me to the most amazing places to the reverse gravity Hill basically a a hill that is like that and you put something and it rolls up it’s really weird it’s spooky um I made a video about it and then he took me to loads of places so no I don’t I I’m just a person that doesn’t get bored uh I’m also a person that just does not rela I can’t just sit on the chair and relax for 10 minutes um unless I’m completely exhausted or I’m always doing stuff either cooking or you know arranging things or on the computer or out and about filming and it’s just my character so I never get bored maybe try it go to Yan and say today I’m not going to be bored just make a conscious decision not to be bored not to allow yourself to be bored and go and find yourself an adventure my friend I I can’t hear what you’re saying you’re choppy now do I recommend for a Brit to relocate to Yan let me tell tell you as a Brit I would live in yavan I find it a phenomenal City uh exciting beautiful reasonably priced um yeah I I if it was me if I had the choice between living in England or living in yavan I’d choose yavan for sure M tomorrow’s Feast what is for dessert good question I haven’t thought about the dessert I’m so focused on getting it all right I’m soaking my chickpeas uh tomorrow morning the reason why I’m going to film at the market is because I can get all the fresh herbs I need the coriander I need the parsley I need you know all these things to make an absolute feast and once I’ve cooked it all I know myself I’m going to make so much that I’m going to have to call friends and invite them and help me to enjoy this stuff so um yeah dessert I haven’t thought of yet but in the market qu good thing in the market there’s a stall that sells amazing kalva and that’s just something that goes great with a cup of tea after after such a meal so maybe some kalala well watch watching Soviet films so Tracy is saying that she watches Soviet films for another layer of understanding of her secret father’s country and yes that’s absolutely correct I mean I actually learned my Russian um through watching Russian television Russian movies this was in the early u0s you know over 20 years ago and um I was exposed to all the Soviet films and it gives you a true understanding of of of the culture which is a very unique culture so I’m I’m sure you’re getting a very good insight and a very authentic one too what did I do to celebrate Lego and Yani day um as I said before unfortunately I’m having some back issues um a ruptured disc so I have been immobile and in serious Agony I’m drinking pills right now that’s why you’re seeing me so animated because I’m on some seriously heavy pills that kind of like help me cope with the pain but on Lio and Yani I made it a point I’m just going to chill um because I was really stressed about getting a video out and I don’t like to film stressed because when you film stressed you film [ __ ] so I decided you know what I’m going to go and chill I’ll come back I know I have a deadline I’ve got to have a video up by this Sunday I still haven’t finished it my editor is already screaming at me because it takes some time to edit my films um but I’m finishing it tomorrow morning and um so what I did was literally lays around in the countryside for 2 days laying in the sun having tinos Deano which is basically wine mixed with seven Up or Sprite in in Spain they use CER and just chilling with amazing barbecue great food great people around me and it was an amazing time so I absolutely loved it and I just chilled doesn’t matter what’s going on I’m here in the present my feet in the grass laying down and not giving a [ __ ] about anything else and sometimes you just got to do that especially me because I live I live quite a hectic stressful life in the sense that I’m always on the go always trying to do something and sometimes your body just says enough is enough so um I did a Lego video two years ago so I could get away with not doing one this year however you know I love my cooking I love my eating I wish I could turn my my channel into a a a semi Cooking Channel because I have a passion for that um but one day I want to share with you a a um a barbecue experience because I travel all over the place and certain countries have certain things that they make amazing on the barbecue so if you go to Armenia for me the king is the Lula Kebab if you go to Georgia it’s the sh sleek and I like to take recipes from all over the place and then replicate them when I get home so maybe one day we’ll do a barbecue video maybe this summer we’ll go to the market get the ingredients get all the tools necessary the huge big thick uh skewers that you need which I have by the way and show you how we marinate things how we prepare the meat how we smack the meat and smash it until it becomes really fluffy and and and you know gains a certain texture that makes the perfect Lula that is played like like a a a virtuoso would play the violin you prepare these and then getting them on the barbecue so they don’t fall off you got to have them at the right temperature it’s a serious work of art to produce this so yeah maybe we’ll do a video about that because I the barbecue was amazing so who’s commenting this this is so cool so Ste Stefan is saying that he watched my Breakin bad video he’s been following the channel for a year thank you so much I really appreciate it and he found the Breaking Bad video uh one of the funniest thing he’s seen I really appreciate that but what I mostly appreciate is that you shared it and I’m asking you guys I want to take this channel to the next level we just hit 27,000 today literally just before we went live and I want to get to 50,000 and I can only do that with your help because the more you like the more you share the more you comment the more YouTube realizes ah this is a serious Channel let’s get it out there so I’m doing my part but I’m really asking you for your help in uh in helping those videos go out there and spread the word so share a couple of videos with some friends introduce them to the channel uh I don’t think anybody’s going to you know resent thank you for it uh because it’s just fun it’s really just fun okay Paul um he’s saying I’m looking good thank you thank you very much you should have seen me this morning I was completely out of it with those painkillers but I really appreciate it hadn’t shaved either and I just got back from my physiotherapy before I went live um recommendations on getting from the Ria airport to the center of town options I will recommend you three ways and I will also warn you on what to avoid you’re going to land you’re going to collect your luggage you’re going to go through customs which depending on where you’re flying in there’ll be no one there so you walk out you go out on the street you’ll be coming out in the parking lot so if you arrive from the UK or from a non shingen country you’ll be closer to the entrance of the parking lot if you arrive from a European country you’ll be closer to the ENT exit of the parking lot now when you come out there’s going to be guys that are going to be saying taxi taxi do not under any circumstance get a cab with those guys because a friend of mine did it few months ago and I haven’t paid more than 12os to get from the airport to the center of town he paid 52 so avoid those guys at all costs now here’s what you do you have three options first you can order like a a Uber Uber doesn’t work here in lvia so there are two apps you want to get bolt or for me for us Fus these are Uber like applications you just type in your address they give you a price you select it the cab driver shows up in the parking lot you hop in and you drive out they take you there your second option if you take the bolt um actually there’s four options if you take the bolt app you can actually get your own car so you can just drive yourself so you rent the car there are a few by the airport you hop in a car you drive to the center not the most popular way it’ll often cost you the same as getting a cab to drive you but it’s an option the third way there’s the 22 bus that’s right outside the terminal so when you come out onto the street in the parking lot there is actually a stop there that you can hop on the 22 bus that’ll bring you right to the center of town cost about €150 taxi with bolt or with uh for us 8 to 12 um and the other option there is a shuttle service through a company that I find amazing that I work with and I can give you a discount code for them as well there’s a shuttle bus that goes from um from the center of town to the airport and from the airport to the center of town it’s with a company called looks Express they’re red buses what you will do is probably go upstairs so when you come out of the terminal instead of going out on the street you go upstairs and um you can catch the bus from there I think it’s upstairs it might be downstairs I’m not 100% sure but look for the looks Express shuttle service and they’ll shuttle you directly from the airport right to the central bus station which is near the Central Market which is across the street from the Oldtown which is really where you want to be if you arrive in Ria so those are really your four ways of getting in do not under any circumstance hop into the cabs especially the guys that say taxi taxi you want a taxi um avoid them the guys that are S standing next to the taxis literally the official taxis they’ll charge you about 20 25 if it’s convenient take them avoid them because you can order an Uber with with bolt for us it’ll cost you €12 you can hop on the shuttle bus it’ll cost you a fraction of that you can take the city bus 22 and it’ll cost you A50 so these are your best options and when you arrive make sure you drop me a message on Instagram on telegram or by email let me know you’re here let me know you’re having fun and um but I also know Tracy that you’re you’re learning lvan just like me we’re kind of like on this journey together we’ve embarked on The lvan Learning Journey together so I would uh urge you I would urge you to watch the Lavan version of the film and share those films with me because I’m always interested too just watch the Lan version even though you don’t understand them just watch them listen to them it’s a great way you know the most amazing thing when you’re learning a language is I always say when you learn a language expose yourself to movies expose yourself to cartoons expose yourself to music you don’t understand it it doesn’t matter just make sure that you’re surrounded by it and often times you’ll for some reason or another like a specific episode of a cartoon or you’ll like a specific song that you’ve been listening to or a specific film that you’ve been watching that you don’t quite get what’s going on and the most amazing thing and when you suddenly realize that’s it I’ve reached the journey is when one day you put on that song and you know what it’s about so make sure you you have that collection with you because it’s an amazing feeling so just move from Talon from from from where you just mooved from Talon from Ria super super exciting I mean moving to a new country is always phenomenal all and fascinating my hottest tip I would say take your phone switch it off go out get lost 20 years ago we didn’t have these phones and you will be surprised how more interactive life was real life I’m talking about real life um and if you want to have a good lunch somewhere ask someone where’s the best place to have a good lunch if you want to have a nice beer you know what ask the locals where’s the best place to have beer what’s going to happen number one you’ll get the best advice from the locals number two you’ll start mingling and interacting with the locals and you’ll often build relationships so my advice to you is have your phone to answer phone calls maybe check the time if you’re no longer wear a watch uh check the weather but forget all this oh let’s go and look at uh this to see how many stars this restaurant has or how forget all that it’s that’s [ __ ] go on the street and say oh my friend are you local where’s the best place to eat sit in a cab order a taxi and say listen where do you eat where do you go with your family when you want to go and have a nice local meal where’ you go my best tip to you my friend is if you’ve moved to a new city get lost in that City explore the city get to know the city with the locals don’t rely everything on this phone it’s amazing how we’ve become so reliant on these phones I don’t even like to use them I I get lost in the city if you watch my video three or four videos ago I was in uh in tbilissi in the suburbs with a mission to get to the center of town to a specific place in the center of town and I insisted on taking public transportation not using my phone and only getting information from the locals on how to get there it creates an entire adventure and not only that you get to know the city better so get lost enjoy it and uh exciting times my friend enjoy the move how much for a beer in in lvia so depending on where you go and I was a bit surprised about this because I was in Brussels couple of months ago and I sneaked into a festival a Balkan Festival dancing with the bulgarians and God knows what and I went and got a beer cost me €3 which I find is a fair price for a beer but a beer in lvia in a similar setting would cost you about €6 double the price which makes no sense um a cheap beer in a supermarket will cost you in the region of about € for a can um the beer I like which is Val muia if you buy it in the supermarket I think is about 253 for the beer comes in a bottle not in a can um and if you’re out and about depending on the beer that you’re having in in a regular place I think you’ll pay about3 four for a beer yeah do I have a plan to visit Hungary I absolutely love Hungary my my whole experience of Eastern Europe began with hungry this was the first country I ever visited behind the Iron Curtain this was back in the ’90s I’m talking about 1996 and I was hooked because growing up you always heard about the these stories if you read the Spy novels if you read all these uh you watched all the the movies you know and it was so obscure so unknown to us right the other side what’s it like and I finally made it the other side and everything I was expecting was exactly the way it was I mean um my first trip to Hungary back in 1996 I was there for 2 days I got kidnapped on the first day this is story for another time but uh it was a very stressful moment it was a very intense uh time but I got to say it got me hooked ever since I’ve been traveling zigzagging all of Eastern Europe and the former Soviet countries and I’ve been having the time of my life so uh Budapest is definitely a city that I’m going to share with the other with you know my my followers with my viewers but um but yeah Hungary is definitely a country that I’ll be traveling to soon and stay tuned because there are plenty more countries as well okay okay so uh Deborah asked the question that after buying flights and accommodation how far would 500 lb go um and she got a response and I have to agree with uh CF cmk um that uh you could do a lot you could have a good time um you know I I I like quality and I don’t necessarily determine quality by Price you can find some excellent places to enjoy the food the Ambiance the the on on a very very reasonable budget here in lva so if you have everything paid up already the accommodation the flights and all you need is spending money you know uh I think that you know if you if you have lunches in the market and you know explore and you go out to to these um um you know cafeterias and places where they have amazing lvan food I mean where you can eat a whole dish I mean this dish like I went to a place called vigante with a guy from New York I mean we had loads of alcohol and food that you know you couldn’t even get through it and it it didn’t cost us much I think the pancakes the we had three pancakes this big potato pancakes with mushroom sauce I think that was €4 um so yeah believe me you you can you’re not going to go hungry on 500 lb and you will have a good time so let me know when you arrive Deborah and I can give you plenty plenty of tips and maybe even show you so let me know yeah so cfcm K I’m so happy once again you planned your trip based upon the the lvia playlist and um it means a lot to me because you know a lot of people say oh when I when I watch your videos it’s like I’m traveling there and it’s surpris surprising when you meet your subscribers that have been watching your channel for a while and they’ve just arrived in Ria and then they say you know what I knew where to go I knew where I was I knew you know because I kind of film everything including the the journey to places and everything else so it’s it’s phenomenal that that people are finding it useful and can land in a place and they take to it like fish to water basically they know where to go to find the good deals they know where to go to find the the the special unique moments that honestly speaking if you if you weren’t told you just wouldn’t have that opportunity to just stumble
