Taking A Tour Of Paphos, Cyprus On The Sight Seeing Bus

[Music] hello good morning good morning welcome to Pathos Cyprus welcome to Pathos Cyprus we’re going on a bus yeah today is going to be a sightseeing bus tour still got quite a while is yet though we think the first one’s at 10:00 so we’re just going to go check that first and then have a little wander around and then uh get on it I’m looking forward to this see things we haven’t seen yet do want to thank everyone now I which I can now for all their kind comments so thank you very much and emails Etc so thank you I’m I’m good today thank you we were right 10:00 so we’ll be on the very first one takes about an hour does the sightseeing talk so that’s € 12 to do that but if you want to hop on and hop off for 24 hours it’s just just an extra three1 15 there m which I think that’s actually quite good cuz it takes you to all the touristy spots so I think that’s actually quite good normal people would do that and they’ probably go to three or four sits in a day yeah but we’re not normal especially in this heat we struggle we’re talking about the weather today it’s a bit so I want to say overy what is it it’s still warm don’t get me wrong well I said this morning it’s the coolest morning morning we’ve walking up to we we’re up about 6:00 I think it’s still me to be 29° according to my phone but it’s a bit more shadier so that’s C it I think the word is you’re looking for look at that big lineer coming in big oh yeah cruise ship or I don’t think he’s coming in actually I think he’s just m there it’s probably too shallow to come any further in so we’re officially off our um all inclusive today we still got the bands on um but last night we actually had Don well you had a Don Kebab didn’t you had a takeaway we just got it home didn’t go out last night did we no some kind of mixed Kebab I wasn’t impressed I had I I wanted a chicken burger like in a barn crispy and some french fries I just fancied something a bit normal you know and no anyway they didn’t have that so I had to have a burger don’t get me wrong actually it was tasty uh quite a bit got thrown away this morning though didn’t it so I didn’t like wasting the money what I’m finding when this it says Donna Kebab on a lot of the signs so I got mixed Kebab type thing but you never get Donna meat how we know Donna meat in in the in Britain it’s all like bits of chicken and pork I haven’t it’s still sliced off the sko thing yeah but it’s not donam me it’s not what I’m after so I’ve been a bit disappointed by them I’ll be honest though our meal last night was half the price then up any of these like your one was €1 whereas usually that’ be about 20 OD down here what you had and mine was €7 so it wasn’t a bad price actually you’ve just reminded me what the interesting fact we’re telling you this morning we’ll tell them when we’ll get there oh yeah M interesting fact get where to there we we’re going to do a loop are we yeah got some interesting facts and Linda Robson you know from birds of a feather apparently she lives here or she’s got her house here haven’t seen her yet though so anyway getting back to the food what I was trying to say is so after all that I’ll face you this way after all that hardly anything’s open in a minute yeah after all that I think we’re just fancying a roll again night aren’t we we’ve got quite a bit of stock in the fridge so we’re going to stop to the supermarket on our Loop have another easy night I think and then tomorrow night we want to go to the TNA don’t we want to go to TNA but we’ve only actually got two full days now today and tomorrow the last day is sort of like a full day just got to hang around all day yeah but I have got plans I’m going to be washing and doing doing little l jobs like that so still a productive day also a lot of you had mentioned about the coke carrying Caff in now everybody in there knows me I only usually have one Coke maybe a year anyway so on this particular holiday I have been overdoing it with that and I don’t drink caffeine and um yeah that could have contributed to sort of what happened yesterday with me anxiety attack it definitely was the fact that I felt tight sort of chested in that heat as well and sort of struggling to catch me breath oh there’s early swimmers out there so anyway I was thinking maybe like cuz I don’t know I am guzzling a lot a lot of water as well you can get watered out um I’m thinking then maybe I’ll try lemonade has lemonade got caffeine in it darling I don’t like lemonade no I don’t think wrong I don’t really like lemonade but I’ll have to change it up a little bit look there’s swimmers out there babe already quite a few actually it’s beautiful isn’t it to get a real feel of this strip like you know if you’re one of these quiet people this is the time of the morning to come up here isn’t it it’s lovely shops are sh yeah just hear the little rustle of the odd chair being put out by the shopkeeper we have found we’re not moaning we have found every now and again you just want that bit of piece yes but no matter where you go yeah no matter where you go it’s either motorbikes or it’s music from bars even if you want to just find a quiet bar you’ll never find a quiet bar they’ll play all have music yeah it’s notice that for sale Mazy what a prime spot for a business there yeah yeah that would be quite good you got all them above it as well wouldn’t you M so it used to be yeah I think that used to be a little hotel be Pista Plaza Pista Plaza P I think it’s a pizza pizza place that’s not Italian says Plaza I don’t know yeah gorgeous time in the morning to come down here so just coming back around on ourselves now so the plan is today we’re going to do this hop on top BS but it’s not a hopon is it it’s the tour and then we’re hoping to get back in sunba because we didn’t get a chance to yesterday which was a shame no we’ll never get around that pool even later on in the afternoon was a bit you’d be lucky M did suggest we put some towels there before we go on this toil but no I would do that no but I meant go down and sun may go down a stumb because it was only early in the morning see yeah cuz it was only half eight we’d already was waiting ages we tided up for the cleaner didn’t we who’s ready for a me really interesting fact thank you to the guy who sent the email about the comment about this I thought it winding me up to start with but no it was being on he was being truthful we checked it out our Pub where we been sitting The Rose Pub to do his uploads not the in you the in the Rose Pub it’s absolutely lovely in there he said he thought it was actually wrong I think um he thought Peter Andre’s brother owned this I don’t think he owned it what I was reading he used to play here on a Friday night in a b or something like that photos apparently he’s better than Peter Andre quite a few instruments good another little fat I’ve actually met Peter Andre’s brother in New Market and Peter Andre come on show everybody for them who don’t know some some of them don’t Peter Andre drew that on mazy’s hand and she had it tattooed straight away went down and got it tattooed yeah I I’ll be honest then I met a pet or’s brother in New Market he was like with a couple of fellas I want to say like bodyguards and didn’t even know it was him and yeah lovely chat really really nice chat yeah they’re all a nice family though is’t they who would like another fact this could talk about Pete Andre a little bit more no let’s not bother now Dan’s looking to get his hair down where is it is it this one no it’s not that one so I thought it was next door to this so I suggested maybe it used to be this darling no it’s this one it’s this one must be is that used to be on isn’t it this is it well it is look all right no how stylish them chairs are in that Barbers now interesting fact about that Barbers oh let’s just see how this was going about so sorry he’s looking at me on I’m middle of my story go on go on interesting fact about this Barbers it is owned by someone special apparently likes everyone to know as well um I don’t remember the these guys what they called stos or something is it stafos flatly or something something like it was on Britain’s Got Talent many many years ago maybe 10 years ago or so stos flatly something like that yeah doing basically River Dance uh a man and his son and I believe it’s his son who owns that and cuts your hair yeah um I think so I don’t know the entire story but I was saying to you to go there anyway CU you want a haircut don’t you so yeah but you need an appointment apparently yeah but we didn’t know it was famous at this point right now but uh that if if you’re not sure when I think it was it was the year Susan Bo came second they came fourth in the final of Britain’s Got Talent now it’s not something I I watch but I do kind of remember that you know I don’t I do right we need to go get some bread rolls uh I think we should get as band as drink bands while we’ve got a bit of time yeah get that show this this is the local place where we ate yesterday and we was talking to a guy in here customer and he’d been advised to go here by even all the taxi people and everything yeah that’s this is where they go to eat yeah which I said to you it’s always local there and it’s cheaper it’s half the price and the food is so good don’t get me wrong there was nothing wrong with the food it’s just not what I was hoping for I was expecting Donna meat and I didn’t get it but yeah the food’s nice and very very cheap it does say Donna I mean it does say Donna they all say Donna but they never seem to serve Donna yeah just going to the Fresh Bakery bit just going to show you the cakes we never did finish them actually did we they were amazing uh something like this no no they haven’t got it it was something a bit like them two there yeah we got two to shareero rer and the other one was just like a Gatey thing they’re beautiful and so cheap as well that was cheap so we got three big pastries two rolls seeded ones I haven’t managed to be able to get them yet because you have to go early under a f or something yeah and they’re actually hot not that we’re eating them hot right we just got to pop to another shop down here and then we’re going to bring all these up to the room yeah drinks we’re not going to go for the all inclusive now just like last night was our last night of been able to have it and we just wanted T night it in if I’m totally honest but we did have like bit of a day yesterday didn’t we with me just yesterday afternoon and stuff with your turn yeah but I’m good now I’m good so just popped to another little shop we actually got a couple of little items we’ve been wanting to get to do another little 10-minute video uh it seems like you’re all enjoying it maybe not all of you cuz you not clicked on it yet if you haven’t clicked on our 10-minute videos please go over because they are fun is they tonight the next one we’ve got some basically donkey don’t tell them why no that’s all I’m going to say that’s it no you have to go over to watch it donkey Kebab donkey kab so it’s just a little simple one today now that we’re coming towards the end of sort of the holiday we don’t want to be overloading ourselves with extra stuff right let’s get back cuz we got to get on this bus so just topped up our oh look at the size of thatt that’s massive the size of that bab that is possibly the biggest ant I’ve ever seen yeah anyway we’ve just topped up our drinks package um for fre more days including the day that we leave um possibly could have gotten away with using all inclusive band but we not like that right we’re just going to sit down chill out for about 50 minutes something like that yeah on everyone else’s uh band she was writing the date on it and she didn’t on ours probably could have got away with it we would’t do that no right so we just done a 10minute video past a bit of time yeah very interesting very interesting that will be on in a couple of hours so check that one out right we’re going on the pathos sightseeing tour it’s about an hour long first bus of the day looking forward to this a nice breeze got no drinks yeah never mind we’ll manage I hope we do I think it’ll be nice and cool in that breeze on the top deck yeah so we’re kind of sitting at the front we we’re here next to the steps there a cruise ship oh that’ll be the cruise ship there all these other guys are off the cruise ship yeah yeah just a few minutes and we’ll be setting off and we’re off I’m looking forward to a bit of Breeze I’ve had to Nick Dan’s hat it was hot already just sitting there for that few minutes little been nervous but I think this is going to be fun now both of the drivers of this there’s two buses one here and one there both drivers were English yeah really nice chaps as well really nice oh here we go don’t forget wave to everybody we’re tourists now so the first place it’s taking us is up where we went in the catacombs here yeah that was one of our first days that was actually really interesting especially down there so once again if you haven’t seen those videos go back and watch those very interesting I thought we were going to get a bit of a talk outside that one actually didn’t you that’s quite an important thing I yeah we’re expecting them to talk and tell you what’s what as we’re going around it’s quite a packed bus it’s all good it’s so good M didn’t fancy going on this I think it would have been quite good you’re got stay it is the largest shopping mall in Cyprus the largest shopping mall in Cyprus what is that what he said yes it’s hard to hear now is it it’s a woman not a man oh it’s a woman’s voice it’s automatic it’s just on like a speaker thing there’s no woman on here speaking as such so you can’t ask questions but have You’ got any questions to ask ask us we’ll be your tour guys for the day I know everything about everything next job will be number two number two please press the bell and wait until the bus stops if you wish to hop off here over to our left is the area of paos known aspra Hilla Hill isass they known as cleone tree bag where they hang all the bits on the tree sa tree yeah so they’re stopping cuz people now can hop up and on and take a look and get back on later on you will be cured of all illnesses the tradition remains to C of all illnesses what was that all about a it’s hard with the rattling of the bus no it’s hard with you J okay so the tree with the hangy bits on where we took you the day it’s actually called Fabrica hill our next stop will be number interesting number three and wait until the bus stops pillar have we seen this oh we have seen this pill that’s like the bath we went in the other day isn’t it to get up here in the century the Basilica had seven a and the floor covered in egg I’m a bit gutted really because St Paul’s pillar is down there and I wanted to see that and you can’t see it from here is that not it this building no that’s just a Turkish bath by the of it so St Paul’s pillar apparently St Paul was tied to one of the pillars you know like the ones what we’re finding all over oh okay yeah tied to one of them and giv 39 lashes for preaching Christianity naughty man didn’t see that one one of the seats indicated that the theater dates from between 480 BC to 330 ad making it one of the oldest structures in the Hall of C the theater has probably been damaged over the years or earthquakes Cypress lies in earthquake zone and experiences occasional TR the largest earthquake ever in war 1222 which measured 7.5 on the r scale and caused damage to many ancient buildings don’t know if you heard any of that but a theater a theater from like Jesus times which has probably been damaged a lot over time by earthquakes coming back I might stay here and then we can get okay until someone gets don’t panic I know a lot of this you Dan that’s where then walked up to the other day a lot of this we have shown you on Pro previous videos but don’t worry there’s going to be lots new coming up there’s some people were just walking on the bridge I think it’s just so you can get a walk around and see a few sites and you’re up high we’ve literally just sort of done a loop so far path for Sue there is a it’s not there that’s just a sign sorry there is a path for Sue to go to uh just par back missed that one that’s a hotel so that isn’t remember the other day I said it was a time share place that was done out the same but it said it was a hotel so the next place we’re going to be at is uh the tomb of Kings to me to you so we’re going to get a lot of this so we can get both s side views you have my perspective and dance perspective as the Tomb of the King’s Road we’re P McDonald’s right tomb of Kings Road this is where I really wanted to go tomb of Kings but it’s too H for Maza to walk around there it’s it’s a long walk a lot of walking but uh I appre you know I’ve seen some ancient s so I’m happy KFC yay everyone’s cheer everyone’s cheering when we get bu McDonald’s number four for the tombs of the Kings tombs here many group together in what might have been a family plot each tub is carved into Solid Rock are well preserved the most impressive include tomb six with its rare wall paintings tomb 3 with its Jo St col so the of Kings is this it yeah so this is this is the biggest uh tourist attraction in paos i’ say they reckon work to get round it though in the heat very busy I can see a few little bits over there but yeah not nothing I can film a shame isn’t it I might actually look it up online just so I can get a glance at it I’d like to know what was there you like yeah you can’t see nothing sitting here can no um yeah I didn’t realize it was there there’s no Kings in there there’s about 100 tombs very very old some of the best collection of ancient tombs in Cyprus or something she said yeah uh yeah look it up might go tomorrow might not so you know when um we get on the bus is that free entry now into these places no oh it’s not right okay no but having said that it’s very cheap in there I’m sure I heard it were only about 250 or 5 oh wow I think yeah very cheap cheap so next stop is going to be Oldtown which we’ve already been to can’t say I want to go to Old Town again do you it was nice I’ve been there done that exactly I want I want to go to McDonald’s that looks like a nice place to eat House of Ribs oh that sounds nice Harry’s House of Ribs Harry’s where did oh yeah yeah yeah yeah I could do that don’t know what they’re building there but it’s going to be huge near lost my hat thought you’ll be losing my hat it just blew off that effect when you tighten it a little bit more just look at the color of these trees it’s unbelievable still oh you miss still selling watermelons some local guy SE a lot of watermelons they’re massive over here the Watermelons are like huge you see you see wagons going along just full of watermelons I don’t think that’s oh I have have you and there’s they’re that big there’s only about 12 on each load yeah well you have to pay per pound having who watermelon over here don’t know I think that might sure it’s not your rose oh they check all them cactuses out [Music] wowen our next stop is number five down the list we let me number five out of not exploring far a far should I say so as next stop is number six town hall and museums and there’s some stuff on there I want to see Mazy okay we might have seen them ethnographic Museum Oh you mean go to or just see them I’d have liked to have done and sculptures I want to see what that is oh wow yeah I love sculptures Bishop’s Palace a cathedral I bet they look nothing like I’m expecting Rubble won’t it so the temperature is 28.6 I just saw on a electronic board which is what was it sorry 28.6 okay which I think is the coolest day we’ve had yeah definitely yeah but it’s still early it’s only 20 past 10 yeah don’t really know where we are now this is pretty cish isn’t it yeah I don’t know if we’re still in Old tell but why not sure so we’ve worked out we’re at the top end of uh Oldtown a bit that’s beautiful that’s a nice one yeah we never got making another of these Bridges look oh yeah yeah we didn’t get as far as up here did we I’m glad we didn’t now no now we were warmed before we set off watch out for branches because there’s no glass in these at all yeah it says watch out for branches and three or four times now yeah like that one came right over here not not just aside right over here now we took everyone’s heads off it I didn’t have enough time to shout out dark and warn everyone else though cuz we’ve gone around the corner on that one hav we could uh cause some damage that though couldn’t it oh yeah I got to cut the trees we’re stuck in a bit of a traffic jam there but I think we’re out of it now yeah we’re good now we’re on the Kennedy Square so this is where I were trying to find the other day Town Hall it was built Stowers it is to Beed in a all these buildings up your left the spend classical buildings to our left are schools which are steering news today and offer students a wide curriculum of studies this is stop number six yeah this when we did come to Oldtown this is the bit I wanted to see I thought we could get a good 10 minutes footage around here there some he that Elvis looks like him that’s actually really [Music] funny what’s this here looks H nice area archaeological Museum I bet there’s some cracking stuff in there coming up on the left is a statue of the face of Archbishop marcario that’s so that dude there was the first president of Cyprus in 1960 which is I think the year Britain gave it back to Cyprus I think so we’re coming up to where there’s a mini golf which we saw I think it was 12 though wasn’t it for nine HS this lovely water pool on the roundabout yeah yeah so I think we decided not to do it because uh of the price really but so I let ma in my hat she’s covered it in makeup I’ve noticed I lost it luckily the lads at the back of people in the back caught it it went right to the very back person and he just grabbed it as it were flying out we were flying down that Hill there no wonder she’s all the way up there over the past 10,000 years stoneage in Bron AG man and Templars have a British statue of Aphrodite up on the top CPUs each has left a legacy probably why they have historic buildings we see standing today from times centuries of French this is stop number eight that was a mini golf ma it’s just mini golf you got special you got goat C in next it and stuff like that yeah it’s all right if you want to play is it paos football club didn’t know that have a football club no I might sport start sporting paos for me Cyprus League we should go to a local one should we watch him yeah we normally do Luna Park not sure what that is find some of the largest hotels in the par yeah this is where people go for the all inclusives and then walk for 20 minutes to our area morning when it is cool or in the evening as the sun begins to set Jesus out of all the hotels I’ve seen that one looks the nicest so far I think Leonardo and wait until the bus stops here like a sister hotel is it yeah Italian restaurant yeah this looks quite a nice little area to stay you know a few things for you to do over here if you’re staying in these hotels if you wish to H off here so there a t for two there that’s the third t for two chain star I’ve seen yeah so I’m glad I haven’t to the one in on the front now because it’s obviously just a cheer in doesn’t mean to say it’s not nice it’s a local TR is it I don’t know how local might just be Cypress I don’t know but it’s very English apparently this is good just getting a feel for the area as well isn’t it yeah I like I’ve enjoyed this cuz this is the part we didn’t see I think to be honest Ma you can see over there oh there’s the cruise ship nowlet so we’re coming down to the front there’s the cruise ship but this I’m sure just a bit further on maybe was where it was heaving the first day we game this is stop number until the B stops if you wish Alexander the Great so we’re coming up to the harbor again shortly we got a feeling our next stop is us actually getting off so yeah they got a lot of small shops up here we got as far as this yeah this is what we would have what we missed basically yeah to be honest I’m not seeing anything bothered about is it K and Barrel someone said he a nice restaurant I think that’s it okay the three cast meal very cheap oh really you’ve been worried about it aren you asan City should have tipped him yeah should have tipped him 12os M what um the the people that came off the cruise ship were they American yes oh they were yeah all American I can’t believe it honestly we’ve been watching that sight scene bus and no one goes on it maybe one person on the top deck that’s it the one we choose to get on all the cruise ship fill it up listen no we don’t see that during the day look now the next CL look is getting quite full yeah they’re both full now because there a cruise shiping oh excuse me but uh no very good that yeah that was well worth the money and it’s as I hoped it would be and lovely Breeze yeah so you don’t get hot unless you’re stopping at the bus stops for five minutes another tip though bring water which we didn’t look we’ve got us wristbands we can go get a drink now yeah so that was about an hour maybe just slightly under really wasn’t it so depending on traffic it can go up to 90 minutes as well that was good fun was it darling what midly swim yeah we we managed to actually get a couple of beds actually there was a quite a I wouldn’t say quite a few but there was a few spare today one more today it’s quieter today yes so we had a swim we’ve had a sun babe and come up for a cold drink well we’ll do like an hour and a quarter there it’s all we need today we did the other day we did 3 hours yeah yeah because we’ve already been out in it today you got to remember that but we don’t do it for the sun no we don’t need a t now we’ve got a t we just like to get in the pool now and again yeah and cool down and just I’ll tell you what the temperature of that pool is perfect yeah not too hot not too cold I thought it was cooler today than the last time just nice you can just jump in without thinking about it you don’t have to dip your toes do you cheers babe to me to you [Music]

We finally get on the tour bus and enjoy a wonderful hour seeing the interesting places around Paphos, Cyprus. Before that we go on the hunt for famous people who may be right around the corner from our apartment.
