Backstory:
I was raised in a one parent home by a mother living with Schizophrenia. Much of my life was spent caring for her. As I grew older, I was diagnosed with an autoimmune disease that caused me to live life differently.
Between being sick and dealing with unfortunate circumstances, I spent a lot of time going through the motions rather than living and fully experiencing life.
The ending of 1 relationship and start to many led me to wonder what life would be like if I gave up worldly things and attachments to simply live. – So that’s what I decided to do.
My goal is to place more value in experiences than money. To live a life I want to live, rather than one I fe I have to.
In my early 20’s I experienced what many would consider “success.” – I worked for a fortune 500 company, making more than any of my friends. Although I don’t have a degree, I worked beside people with Master’s and above. I worked with people who had families, made a great deal of money, 10+ years older than me and still weren’t happy. – I don’t want to be that person.
This is my journey to the life I want and deserve.
