A city located in western Ukraine, Lviv has an extensive history and plenty of things to see and do. In this video, I will show you some of the main attractions in the old town, such as the market square, opera house, cafes, and high castle hill park that we filmed in the summertime. There are many activites and places not mentioned in this video as we only cover the things we filmed while we were there.

You can get to the city by bus, train, car or airplane. The train station seen in the video and the airport are both very close to the city, though I would advise foreign tourists to make sure they understand how to get to the city from there to avoid language barrier troubles and scams/high-cost fares on the spot.

The old town in Lviv is pretty small and can be explored in one day, which is great for travelers who don’t have much time to spend here, as well as for for travelers who like to take it slow and not rush exploring the city. If you can, book a hotel, hostel or apartment with a view of the market square or the opera house of Svobody Avenue. Accomodations are much cheaper compared to western Europe, and the extra money you spend will be worth it if you are eating your meals in your apartment or if you don’t feel well and still want to experience the atmosphere without leaving your room. We stayed at a place in the market square on our trip, and there was lots of music and shows heard and seen from our window.
